    Painting with my daughter

It's a fun activity - we were here for a little kid (7-9) painting birthday party put on by one of our friends. I think the kids had fun and there is enough structure to keep the kids both painting and motivated. We stopped halfway through for a mini dance party and finished early for cupcakes. They have wine if you dare. Brought my own Red Bull and that was ok as well. Tons of painting ideas to choose from - took a few pics of the party - my painting - yes I painted with the kids :) - located in an easy plaza by Ian's Body Works. I would say it's a yes - $30 a kid - not sure the minimum - probably 10 painters. They get some art to take home and use a different part of their brains then screens provide! Schedule your next kids party here - not just for adults. 5 star

I am visiting Winston Salem and was thinking of what to do as a bonding moment with my mom and found Painting with a Twist on yelp. It was so much fun, my mom and I have a great time doing this. They provided everything, the brushes and the paint and a video that we can follow while painting. The video was entertaining and easy to follow, the instructions are clear and concise. I never thought I would enjoy painting but I did. Now I'm pondering if I should pick it up as a hobby. I couldn't recommend this place and activity enough. This is so much fun. The only downside is we didn't have an easel, I'm not sure if they sell it there. Will be back!

I've been to wine and paint classes with other businesses before , but this one was definitely the most fun! They play a variety of music while you work, engage in games while you wait on layers to dry and they have tv screens set up so that no matter where you sit you have a zoomed in view of your instructor. The staff was super friendly and the experience was wonderful! Can't wait to plan another class.

This is my 2nd time doing a paint your own party. The ladies running it were very nice and helpful. I have fun with my group. They had fun games to play while waiting for our paintings to dry. They also had music playing which was fun. I am a terrible artist and had a difficult time with what we were painting. I wish they had stenciled more on our canvas to help. Also the brushes were too big for what we were painting I felt.

I love wine and painting events so much that I signed up for two of their Christmas paintings this year. This is a great place to get together with your girlfriends or family members especially around the holidays! We chose one of the Santa paintings which all turned out so adorable! Our instructor Lindsey was very nice and accommodating. She was so helpful especially with the tricky details. I love that Lindsey gave us a little guide by chalking out the outline before we applied the paint. Unfortunately, the second event of the season had to be canceled but we were able to get a credit to transfer to a future class. If you have 2-3 people or less, the event gets canceled which is understandable. I love how everyone pretty much paints the same picture but they all turn out looking a little different. The price point here is much better than other craft ventures in the area. Bring your own wine and snacks. I highly recommend!

We used this facility for our granddaughters 13 birthday. She seemed to thoroughly enjoy herself as did her friends. They could have used more time. But the kids had fun.

Went there tonight with some girls I used to work with. We had a blast. Everyone working there were so nice and encouraging. Even though there is a bit of a rush to finish your painting, it's still tons of fun in a very positive atmosphere. And... everyone's painting was beautiful!

First, let me just say I am almost a paint and sip pro as I have done it across franchises, public, private and personal groups and this experience was by far the worse! One of my good friends suggested this location for a girls night out based on the painting of the evening selection. One of our other friends frequent this "paint and sip" franchise and this location (i.e. she goes at least 3 times a month) and was actually there but not with us. We were painting in the 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM window of time on Friday evening. Anywho, I immediately noticed that my stenciled drawing was not complete and that the paint selections were already at each station. This is an important fact because number one, I am not a drawer and number two, as we were painting, I noticed that Mikayla (the assistant for the evening) was using a stencil to trace pictures of Mufasa and Simba for a future class. The owner (I think she said her name was JoJo but I can't remember due to the amount of sass she used when she told us she was the owner and the volume of her wireless mic) rolled off the "rules" and told us that she would not be leading the session. Again, this is an important fact because not only did she lead the class, she was very rude while doing so. After we put two coats of paint on the face of the lady in the picture, she said it was time for us to play a game of Hot Potato. I am assuming they use this game as a break time to allow portions of paintings to dry and it would have made sense if the skin was the largest part of our painting that took the most time but it wasn't. But there again, she (the owner) might not be used to teaching classes (it showed because her painting was.....interesting). After a 20 minute game of Hot Potato, she (the owner) resumed leading the class. She would take breaks to tell us that her assistants were not supposed to painting our pictures for us but just help us here and there, to provide vague instruction and to bark orders at poor Mikayla. I did mention to Mikayla that I needed an eyeball painted or drawn and she said she would ask JoJo but after seeing what she was doing on stage while leading us, I am SO glad JoJo forgot to come draw/paint my eyelid on my lady. When it got close to 9:00 PM (never mind the fact that we played a 20 minute unnecessary game of Hot Potato, which I verified was one of the longest played), she began to rush thru the next steps of the painting because "Ladies, we've got to get this painting done". I honestly felt bad for the ladies in the large church group that were there as well because they had brought hors devours and definitely did not get a chance to eat them. One of the ladies in the group with me had a bottle of wine but didn't get a chance to open it because there was no time to drink anything in between our structured, no artist paint class.
