Albariño was light and refreshing perfect for a relaxing casual hot day. Rosé is a little bit more flavorful, but still light, refreshing, not dry, just a hint of sweetness. Red Blend with Syrah and Cab Sav was also delicious if you like jam, flavored and scent. definitely not very oak flavor, more tannin. Sol Terra red blend was definitely my favorite, though also, their most expensive perfect oak flavor, and very smooth and full of flavor, rich. The Port, was definitely my favorite port I've tried, because I don't like super sweet, even though they are dessert wines. This was definitely a sweet wine, but not too sweet. Earlier this Fall, I was looking for a candle-making class for a birthday celebration with a few close friends. At the time, Wine & Wax wasn't listed on Yelp, and nothing else caught my eye, so I ended up booking a gondola ride instead. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, and it rained heavily the weekend of my birthday. An open-air gondola ride suddenly didn't seem like the best idea, so I quickly began searching for a backup plan. That's when I found this charming spot! I called to make a reservation, and Chris was incredibly kind and accommodating. Even though there were only four spots left, he worked his magic and made room for all six of us on very short notice. I got to check out this spot last Friday night and wow was I impressed! Who knew such a cool concept business was located in the Orange Circle! We were introduced to the amazing owner who gave us an overview of how the wine tasting would go. There were 6 wines on the menu and it'd be a casual/informal wine tasting. The first wine was probably my favorite out of the 6, I think it was some kind of white wine. I really appreciated hearing the owner's story and how he created these wines himself from central Cal. The shop itself is on the cozier side with a few longer tables. We had the option to make candles if we wanted to, but I was much more interested in the wine! I do wish the tables could have been set up a little differently to accommodate more mingling space for this specific night. Either way, I had such a fun time here and love how causal it was.
