We were lucky enough to be served by Spencer, who completely elevated the entire experience. When I say knowledgeable, I mean next level, not just about the menu, but about beer, mead, cider, wine, stouts... everything. He took us on this deep dive into the history of mead and alcohol that turned what could've been a simple night out into something way more meaningful. It honestly felt like a full sensory experience. We didn't go there just to drink, Spencer reminded us that it's about appreciating the flavors, the craft, and the story behind each pour. And while I'll admit... I definitely got a little tipsy ... it was one of those perfect nights where everything just clicks -- great conversation, amazing company, and outstanding service. Also, the options?! So many good ones it was hard to choose, but a couple standouts for me were the Huck Yu and the Blueberry Crepe mead, absolutely delicious. I'm already planning my next visit. I got to try some drinks from Honey Pot Meadery at a wine festival and absolutely loved the Mead-a-rita, and finally made it to their brick and mortar store recently. They were having a movie night trivia when we were there; however we were too distracted by the Nintendo switch games to participate. It's bar style here - you order drinks, pick your corner or join the bar, and play board games or video games or just chill. They don't serve food, but there is a snack corner, including a selection of ramen noodles. The drinks are brewed in house, so they're on tap and are poured per order. The staffs are very friendly and efficient. Now the highlight, I absolutely love the drinks. I have a little kids tastebuds when it comes to alcohol, so I loved all the sweet options. Of the one we tried this time, my favorite were the Post Watermalone and the T.L.C. They taste like juice, which is what I prefer. They have a wide selection that offer different tastes for everyone. Besides the fresh on tap drinks, they also have the 16-oz can for take home. Personally, I love their drinks and would definitely come back occasionally, since it's a bit of a drive for me. This meadery is pretty awesome. There are some really unique flavors here and I had a flight and there wasn't a mead I didn't enjoy. The owner came to cover the evening shift and I got to talking to him and he's really down-to-earth and friendly. He even gave me a sample of a mead that he hadn't had a chance to add to his menu yet. It was honestly amazing. It was a lemon(lime?), coffee mead(or cider?). Super tasty. My niece tells me they do special events in their warehouse like D&D night which I'll ask about next time I go. Also, they have a membership, check their website. Really delicious mead here, it's been a while since I have been here, but we were happy to make the hour and a half trip up here. The meads and ciders are incredible and high quality, we expected to spend a lot of money here. I was able to sample quite a few tasters, it was hard to choose which one I liked more. We ordered several different flights, some meads were very strong, the very fruity meads were delicious and the dry meds were also really good. They had a nice selection of canned mead to go, we picked up a few but dropped a fortune on the bottles to bring home with us. Came here about 8:30 pm on a Wednesday night. There was a lot of space to sit and it was mostly quiet. I've never been to a meadery, let alone one that targets gamers. Theres video game counsoles and board games, which are free to use. I ordered a flight to share with a friend, and it was the perfect amount. This is my first time trying mead, and it didnt disappoint. We got Core Values, Baya Del Cielo, Tamarindoe, and the Citron Avec Bleu, which were mostly recommendations from the staff. Our favorite was the Tamarindoe, which was very light. I would also recommend the Core Values if they have it as well. The other two were good too, and if I liked something meads that were on the stronger side, I'm sure I would've liked it more. read more

Fun spot to check out. I enjoyed all the ciders I tried, however, I wasn't in love with most of the meads but that's my personal preference. The syrups felt too heavy for me. Ciders for the win! There's not too much seating inside, but there is some. It was pretty packed when we went - they had some video games set up and when we entered, it was silent and everyone inside was watching the few people play video games on the TV. I guess I just wasn't expecting that and we wanted a space for our group to hang out and chat, so the outside benches/seating area was perfect. I recently visited Honey Pot Meadery with some friends after dinner. After hearing about meads, it seemed like a great spot to check out. The place itself is located in a business plaza that offer good amount of parking but the lot seems small. It was my first time here and the gentleman that helped me ran through how it works and gave some suggestions. I was impressed by the variety of ciders, seltzers, and meads they offer. There's something for everyone, and you can even sample items under 10% ABV, which is great if you want to try a few different flavors. I ended up getting a flight of the Mint Lemonade, Dapple Cider, iHop B7, and Sharo Hero. Mint lemonade (favorite) - very refreshing and reminded me of a mojito. Dapple cider- had a wine and honey flavor to it, with a light taste of apples. Ihop B7 - pack full of berry flavor and syrupy. Sweet with some vanilla taste in the background. Sharo Hero- similar to the ihop one but had maple taste to it. Price came out to around $19 for a flight. Each one was unique and delicious in their own ways. It was my first time trying mead, it is very unique, but it's a bit too sweet for me. They have ice if you want to add some to your drinks. I'm not sure if they have some cold sparking water, I think that would complement the mead even more. What makes this place even more fun is that they have video games like Mortal Kombat and Mario Party, as well as board/card games to enjoy while you sip. This last visit, I really enjoyed the mead that was kind of reminiscent of a carrot cake, with cream cheese as an ingredient. There is ample parking in the lot. Space is small and has few tables seatings, not food but you can order sandwiches at all American brew works and eat it there. The after burn was our favorite! It actually gives you a burn when you drink it and love the orange flavor. Some of the controls were broken so they need updated ones but overall drinks are strong and have good quality meads. 8/4/25 I've come back a couple times since and the owner, Alex, has been here and he's been really great. This place is a genuinely fun and awesome vibe. Overall, probably just caught the woman I mentioned below on a bad night. 7/18/25 around 9pm, this was the third visit I had here. Unfortunately, I was just really perturbed and disappointed with the bartender on shift. She honestly threw me off with her rude vibe and attitude from the beginning of my visit, but especially so when I closed out my tab. I paid for my couple of flights and couple of full size drinks, then a few minutes later before leaving I decided on buying a 4 pack of one of my favorites and she had this exasperated reaction that threw me off. I thought bartenders were usually happy with additional sales? It just seemed like she wasn't interested in being kind or welcoming, and generally against making the business whatever profit available to be made. If it were my business, I would want to be aware of this behavior. The other two times I had been here I had really great, friendly service, now I wish I had given recognition for those instances at the time. Anyway, everything here is genuinely amazing. This was the first mead spot I went to and this was incredible! It's a really cozy spot with a few tables but plenty of counter space. I came with my boyfriend for Star Wars trivia and we each got a flight which comes with 4 different drinks. I got Guava the Hutt, Gria Blanco, Pulque de Fresa, and Lemon Kyber. The Gria Blanco was by far the best--refreshing, sweet, and satisfying. Lemon Kyber came at a good second: super super sweet with a strong lemon flavor. Guava the Hutt had a good flavor with a nice burn on the way down the throat. Pulque de Fresa was good but next time I'll come, I'd try more meads. The bartender was super sweet and gave great recommendations for which drinks to try and offered tips on a good order to drink our flight. The trivia night was packed too with great ambiance. Y'all, mead is WILD. I've never tried it before coming to Honey Pot and it's super interesting! All of it is on the sweet side since it's made from honey, but the variety of options was really amazing and all the different flavor profiles were really cool to try. Everyone is super nice there, but the tasting room itself is a bit small. We came as a group of 5 plus a baby stroller so we ended up moving to the outdoor back seating area. The back has a few tables, but not much ambiance - there is a cool axe throwing set (the one sold at Costco!). Parking is easy, bathrooms are clean and staff are super nice. read more

Casual ambiance with Home Alone playing in the background with a ton of activities - my kind of place! I'm not much of a drinker but I did get to taste a variety of meads from the items my sister picked out. Most of the items, I really enjoyed. Now that I've tried it for the first time, I prefer meads over my former favorite fruity beers (Mango Cart) or sour IPA (Modern Times). I think I like it because it's got a smooth taste and most flavors I really enjoyed. It's got that framboise taste that I like just a smoother mouthfeel. The service was awesome. I believe the lady who helped us was Jenny - sorry if I heard wrong. The vibe is a super chill atmosphere. We stayed a little over an hour and we had fun trying a variety of meads, playing games, and enjoying each other's company. I had been here once, right when they opened - I remember I hadn't left them a review at that time, because they were clearly still new and didn't have a lot of variety yet, then covid happened and it felt like everything was just on pause for a year and a half, but Honey Pot clearly didn't feel like that, because I finally had a reason to be back this direction a few weeks ago, and holy *heck* has that changed since last time I was there. They have *quite* a draft pour list now, plenty of meads across various styles, and plenty of ciders too! And I didn't even notice until I was on my way out the door, there's a second equally sizeable bottle pour list on the backside of the draft pour list! Absolutely the only thing I don't love about the place (other than it's way too far away from Long Beach!) is the price, though I totally don't fault them for it, good mead is expensive to make! Tasters start at $15 for 4, but the majority of the really interesting stuff (and they do *have* a lot of really interesting stuff!) adds $1-2 more per taster - *and* some of the most interesting (i.e. most expensive to make) meads are only 2oz tasters, too! But their menus is super clear about all of that, and the four we tried were totally worth the price, if you like good cider and mead, they're making both here! I would've loved to have tried their whole menu, but that would've been pretty expensive! (Actually probably dangerous, too, they do have a *lot* on their menu now...) I did get to try 5 tasters when I was there, including a fruity slushy, a huckleberry wine, one that was literally like craft alcoholic apple sauce (I did say they make interesting stuff if you're looking for it!), a mead co-fermented with berries and aged in Bottle Logic barrels, and a spicy mead that was *surprisingly* spicy (and delicious). Will probably continue to stop in here anytime I'm in the area, though, with so much to try (and I assume a pretty quickly changing list, too.) Also I suppose you could argue that, in addition to paying for the great mead and cider tasting, you *are* also getting free entertainment - one thing I remember thinking was cool when they first opened, that they definitely do still have as of a couple weeks ago when we were back, was a whole wall full of different consoles/arcade emulators with the right controllers for them, so you could come here and play Smash Bros or Mario Kart, for instance, with a mead/cider tasting, which now that I'm thinking about it, feels like something every brewery should do. Or at the very least, one brewery in Long Beach should do this, and then that brewery should also start making cool cider and mead like Honey Pot does. Or Honey Pot could just open an offshoot in Long Beach, ideally right near me? Haha. read more
