Our instructor, Kay, was excellent. You can tell she really has a passion for this. She was very knowledgeable and helped us each along the way. She gave each student individual attention. Very patient and guided the class well. The studio is cute! As soon as you walk in it was inviting. Lots of projects to draw inspo from. I truly enjoyed the class and will definitely be coming back to try out another class.

The teacher/host was friendly, had good painting tips and guidance, and was very enthusiastic with his work. And dang it, painting is hard! This time it was Starry Night in San Diego. But I went off on a tangent and added a AT-AT, Death Star, Klingon Bird of Prey, a USS Enterprise, Star Destroyer, a Borg Cube, and an Ion Cannon, but no one seems to see that, doh! Unlike the 1st Grade, the teacher did not scold me or give me a "F" for not following instructions. IRONY: We paid $30, but it does not include wine, you still have to buy wine(or whatever) at the venue. Luckily it was still Happy Hour, so I got a beer for only $4. I might have subtracted a star it if it was more expensive, but since they call themselves "Wine and Paint" they should at least include a crappy plastic cup of Charles Shaw or Tisdale. Right? I still had a great time, so I'm going to let that slide... Note: I'm not a single guy, but if you are, this good place to meet girls...the class comprised of about 25 girls, me, and a very bored looking guy dragged here by girlfriend. This particular "Paint & Vino" was hosted by instructor, Nataly, at the Beach Terrace Inn, Carlsbad, Paint Your Pet event. Ahhhhmazing location overlooking the ocean with a lovely patio, comfy seating and Nataly generously offered us wine and lemonade. If you come to this particular one, come early to find parking as it is right on the beach especially in good weather like today on a Saturday. And bring your Scooby snacks and favorite beverage since you will be painting your pet for a while. I couldn't believe 3 hours had passed!!! We were having so much fun. Nataly is lovely and helps you out as much as you need. Supplies all the materials you will need. She's very generous, kind and knowledgeable. You will enjoy this so much even if you've never picked up a paint brush. No judgement, only FUNNN.

My fiancé and I came to paint our wedding cake plate on a Sunday morning. There were a lot of…read moreoptions for what we could paint, and I love that the price of the piece is what you pay with no other fees added on. We spent three hours painting and hanging out. The space is mostly catered to kids, but we saw people of all ages crafting and chatting. On a warmer day, we probably would have sat outside as it can get really crowded inside. We were never bumped, but sometimes kids would run by on their way to get paint. My only other complaint (which is more so my fault) was that we sat at stools at a shorter table so I was hunched over for a while. I'm just old. The staff was really friendly, and I like that there's a BYOB policy. I would probably suggest going later in the evening to avoid all the birthday parties as it was pretty quiet when we came to pick up our piece near closing.

Great stress relief for the moms in our group! Love that we can bring our own snacks and beverages (and no corkage fees). There are many paintings on the wall so you can see what others have created. Dora was our instructor and she was great. She took her time showing us how to create our masterpieces! I loved how she reminded us to take a drink to help us relax and not stress over our work! Fun time meeting new people and at the end seeing how different everyone's artwork turned out! Some even took liberties and invented new animals....spotted hyena-giraffe (Sandra!)! Haha Parking is the only issue but if you arrive early you shouldn't have to spend too much time looking. Try parking in the neighborhoods behind the studio. Some parked in the Vons parking lot but I advise against it as there are signs you will be towed. Thanks for a great time Dora!! We all had a blast and we will be back!!

My kiddos did an Art Camp last week (W-F from 12-3pm) and absolutely loved it. Sevil also helped us with the paint and she was SO gifted! She helped us redo ours when our vision didn't come to life. She has such a talent. In the front there's different types of stuff to purchase and the tea bombs are SO unique. Like a cocoa bomb but team! I would recommend for the company to give more tips on what not to do or what to use like Metallica to get the bubble water effect. Coming in as newbies we needed suggestions. But it turned out amazing!
