With all due respect to some smaller wine/liquor stores I've been to in the past, I wanted to pick up some prosecco for a get together with friends I wanted to go to a new shop I had not visited before. While visiting the nearby Whole Foods, the staff there told me about Wine Chateau (which you could literally walk to if you wanted from Whole Foods). I wandered over there to see what they had, and I was happy they did. Compared to some larger stores in Union County, I would say Wine Chateau is a medium sized store, but they use the space well. Wines are organized nicely by type and region. Refrigeration units line the perimeter walls and aisles of liquor are broken up by category in the middle. There is an entire corner dedicated to Whiskey and cigars. I was happy to see how many international choices they had including a good selection of Japanese whiskeys. Overall the store was very well organized, clean, bright and welcoming. I wound up finding prosecco that wound up being very popular at the party and the staff was very nice about answering questions. I really enjoyed my visit and would happily shop here again! read more

I researched and found a specific wine that my wife and I love! Wine Chateau advertised that they had it and I ordered 12 bottles. 24 days after my order was accepted, I received my wine order, except it was not the wine I ordered. Upon contacting the company they informed me that on orders where bottles are less than $20 per bottle, their policy is that they can substitute, without notifying the customer. I certainly expected a notification that they couldn't fill my original order but they would substitute another wine. I would not have said yes to 12 bottles of a wine I had never tasted. They did say that I could return it at my expense and receive a refund of the purchase price. read more

I looked all over for Forest Glen merlot 2005 vintage . this was my husband and our wine we had on our honeymoon. well after a fire destroyed the winery a few years ago, I could no longer find this wine anywhere.
