It is a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, 3,686 square foot home that was built in 1984 It is an actual house that is currently being lived in, so you cannot go inside and should be respectable of the occupants. You can still get a decent view of the property from the sidewalk and you will find parking right in front of the house on the street. It was the home of artist Bart Prince, who designed it and the accompanying art and not only served as his residence, but his studio too. You will also find some eclectic sculptures scattered around the grounds. This neat little house was sold in 2022 and I have seen it posted as an Air B & B recently. That would be a cool place to stay in, but I am not sure ablout living here, with all of the attention and tourist coming through. This place is a Albuquerque landmark. The abstract metal sculptures that are out front and just behind the fence are as interesting as the house. You will even see a dinosaur. If you are a road tripper, this should definitely be on you to see list if you are in Albuquerque. Anyway, as with most attractions that I have visited and reviewed, this is not a long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes. So, you may want to consider planning out additional stops at many of the other attractions in the area, such as the Big Red Arrow, or making this stop part of a larger itinerary to maximize your time and trip.

The tour meet up is right in the Old Town area, which itself is nice. We booked ours in the early evening so partway through it became night for some of the places we toured through. It included great historic stories of not only the town, but the ghost stories that folks have experienced over the decades+. If puns and bad jokes are your thing, these two do it well. And they're my thing so I had fun throwing a few at them myself (which I've allowed them to add to their speeches if they feel the need to). All in all, recommended experience for fellow ghost hunters, fans of tours and a good time.

My husband…read moreand I visit frequently from Denver, CO as a weekend getaway and I can't recall a single trip where this stop hasn't been on our list. The Museum is well situated in Old Town and an easy bop over from the shops. In fact, if you visit on a Sunday morning, the museum is free of charge and shares a parking lot with Old Town. You can have your parking validated by the museum and spend some time at both. The permanent exhibits at the museum are expertly organized and there's almost certainly something for everyone. You could easily spend the day learning about local New Mexico artists in many different formats, or enjoy the rotating exhibits. Even if a rotating exhibit doesn't sound particularly interesting, I highly encourage you to check it out. The curator at this museum does an absolutely fantastic job of keeping things engaging. There's a particularly profound permanent piece that I highly encourage one to find, which is a video accompanied by a teeter-totter. And don't miss the sculpture garden outside! The gift shop is worth a stop, too. Many of the museum gift shops that I've stopped in over the years are filled with, well, junk--items largely irrelevant to the visit. The Albuquerque Museum, though, showcases local artisans, local food, and so much more. I almost always leave with something from their Los Poblanos case and a new coffee table book about the southwest. Can't recommend this gem enough!

Street Taco's, Enchilada's and a cup of Green Chilie, outstanding. Did I mention the Margaritas and Churro for desert..... What was "great" and made the tour was Jose's knowledge of Santa Fe, the food and culture; even recommending a great steak restaurant! Our guide, Jose, was absolutely phenomenal! He has so much knowledge of Santa Fe and the food scene, and you can definitely tell he is passionate about the cuisine there. He was extremely personable, funny, and was happy to answer any questions and tell us lots of stories! Really just an overall joy! It was also super fun that everyone in the group was visiting from out of town and many of us loved doing food tours in other cities so we got to swap food tour stories and whatnot. Here's a list of our stops and what we had: La Fogata Grill - taco and margarita Del Charro - enchilada with both sauces and margarita San Francisco St Bar and Grill - half of a green chili cheeseburger and margarita Senor Murphy Candymaker - various sweet treats Everything was absolutely phenomenal - I really can't pick a favorite dish because they were all so yummy. But the Del Charro meal convinced me to always order "Christmas" sauce the rest of my stay in Santa Fe. My favorite margarita was definitely the one at San Francisco! And also, there was one person in the group that didn't drink and they were very accommodating to give him some fancy mocktails instead of cocktails (or boring soda!). The work on the walls revolve, reflecting who's been there, lately, although you'll love the permanent installations by the front door. After a brief tour of collections, the best part of your visit will be the lower levels, where students live and work together, creating startlingly vibrant prints. If you're lucky enough to get a comprehensive overview of the place, as I did, you'll see just how these works are pressed and honed, an extraordinary and ancient process that can't be duplicated by modern ink jets. This is one of those hidden gems tucked aside a college campus that I just assumed, during my five years at UNM, was simply classrooms. Not. Heck, before attending an event at Painting with a Twist, I never really painted in my life even! So, trying a painting event here was completely outside of my comfort zone..and I was so glad I tried it! The space was welcoming and I loved that Barbara the teacher for my glow in the dark painting session made me and everyone feel comfortable. Never even once did I ever feel like I was so bad at painting! The instructions were easy enough for me to roughly follow..and I loved that Barbara left a lot of room for us to do things on our own and not have to follow her guidances at all if we don't want. Heck, if any one of us decided we wanted to paint something else on our own..she said it would be ok, too! I loved that the 2.5-3 hours sessions went by fast! It was a friendly, easy going session and just a fun thing to do..something new to try if you never been to one for sure. Try attending an event at Painting with a Twist out if you never tried it! For a price of around $40...you get a few hours of fun event to attend..to try out some of your artistic skills...and..the best thing..your painting from an event to go home with you, too! After attending this event, I would definitely love to explore and attend more events there for sure.
