The shop in the front wine bar in the back

Exceptional wine selection and a cozy atmosphere make this wine shop and wine bar a must-visit. The knowledgeable staff guided us to the perfect bottle, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for such quality. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a great night out, this place won't disappoint!"

This is more of a wine shop than a wine bar, in my opinion. You can buy wine and drink it on site, but a corking fee is charged, and I wasn't really too fond of that. Everything else was fine during our visit. The store has an overwhelming selection, making it hard to zero in on one particular style. Luckily for us, a new bottle that had just arrived was suggested, so we went for it. Couldn't tell you what it was because after we cashed it, the fancy name was long erased from our feeble wine minds. It was a Chardonnay, that much I do recall. Get on their mailing list! They were having a wine tasting all the way in the back, in what should be the main bar, IMHO. It was dark, candle-lit and sexy back there. Way better atmospheric levels back there than up front. All of the staff was pretty friendly, except one really young girl. She barley looked old enough to work in the state of Florida, and her customer service skills have not yet been honed. Overall though, really great place with good conversations. I saw a few beers available as well, but didn't inquire about selection. They also have some cigars. Extremely limited selection, but decent smokes in a pinch. Side note: Their main store is in Clearwater, just north of Belleair.

At the end of the night as we're getting ready to go back home, we went back for one last drink. We both presented valid, unexpired South Carolina driver's licenses that were genuine and in good condition. At the door, the bouncer told us they don't typically accept South Carolina IDs, but ultimately allowed us inside. When we went to order drinks, the bartender refused to serve us, claiming our IDs had "scanned as fake." When we questioned that, we were then told they didn't actually have an ID scanner. We even offered to have local law enforcement verify that our IDs were legitimate, but they still refused to serve us. We completely understand the importance of checking IDs and appreciate that businesses have to be cautious. However, being given conflicting explanations and feeling like our valid out of state IDs were dismissed without a legitimate verification process was frustrating and embarrassing. If there is an official policy regarding South Carolina IDs, it should be clearly communicated. If there isn't, I hope management addresses this so other visitors with valid out of state identification don't have the same experience.

KC Wine Bistro intrigued us with its varied menu offerings. Upon walking in, we were asked to sit anywhere. We chose a table inside, not aware that there was ample outdoor seating just out back. We were presented a menu and my wife and I chose to start with traditional lumpias (Filipino egg rolls). My wife ordered the Ahi Tuna BLT and I opted for the Ribeye Rice Bowl. The lumpias were very good. Freshly deep fried, hot and crispy served with a sweet and tangy chili sauce. My wife liked her BLT and the huge spears of fried potatoes served with it. They were quite generous with the pieces of ahi as well. My dish was equally good with tender and flavorful slivers of ribeye in a flavored rice and grilled vegetables. Service was friendly and attentive. After our meal, I chatted up a lady who I learned was the proprietor and who just happened to be from the Philippines. We'll definitely be back!

My husband ordered a hamburger and said it was one of the best he's ever had. I had chicken shawarma and WOW! Again, quality of the food HOT FRESH and the SERVICE was TOP MARKS and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The service was the highlight of the visit--the bartenders were genuinely friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome. That's the main reason I'm giving this place two stars. The food, however, was disappointing. I ordered my burger medium, but it arrived raw in the center. The onion rings were overly greasy with a heavy, unimpressive batter. After reading other reviews, I noticed someone else had a similar experience with the patty melt, so my meal may not have been an isolated issue. The atmosphere wasn't for me either. It feels much more like a neighborhood dive bar than a restaurant, with multiple TVs, loud music, constant chatter, and live entertainment outside all competing at once. If you're looking for a lively sports bar where you can watch a game, have a drink, and socialize, this may be exactly what you're after. I prefer a quieter, more relaxed dining experience, so it simply wasn't a good fit. The restaurant also has a dog-friendly patio, which many people enjoy, though it's not something I personally look for when dining out. Overall, I think Norton's has a loyal local following, and I can understand why some people enjoy the casual bar atmosphere. For me, though, the combination of the underwhelming food and the very loud environment means I won't be returning. The staff deserved better than the meal they were serving, because their friendliness and service were the best part of the visit.

We arrived and immediately saw the large, well equipped deck and outdoor seating. The tables had umbrellas, and there were outdoor fans. We sat and we're greeted by our server promptly. The menu had all the classic sports bar grub, and a good selection. I chose the blackened grouper sandwich, and my boyfriend had the fish and chips. My sandwich was delicious! A nice bun toasted with blackened grouper, lettuce and tomato (and tartar sauce on the side) and it came with tater tots. My boyfriend said the fish had a nice crunch, and the cole slaw was delicious and sweet. The dog, Saint, loved all of the food, too. Although we don't drink, there was a full bar and drink specials. This restaurant was exactly what we were looking for today, and we are glad we happened up on it!
