This is a lovely place to have a glass of wine and a meal. Great wine choices as well as good food. The charcuterie board is fabulous.

There's outdoor seating in the front and back, and we opted for enjoying the outdoor space in the back since it was a nice day.

And I liked that you pay up front and can self-service on napkins, to-go boxes, etc. Food was very good as well. We got a pizza & pasta and both were lovely. It was super cute!! It felt like we were at an outdoor wedding reception. It was just so surprisingly spacious and cozy outside. The pastas were wonderfully delicious. Perfectly cooked pasta with bold flavors. We got their risotto special and oh my gosh, was it ever so flavorful and full of different textures. Crispy, salty cubes of guanciale; the veggie broth-infused, perfectly al dente risotto; and the creamy mildness of the mascarpone made for perfect bites of pure yum! And that Caesar salad...sooooo yummy! Each bite was like biting into a cloud of goodness. The soft, freshly grated parm was so delightful. And the lemon zest just put it over the edge! One of the best Caesar salads I've had. Quick and friendly service! It was busy but our food came out quickly. It just felt like a fun, rustic, and quaint dinner experience. We want to come back for more the next time we visit Vashon!!

The cocktails all seem to be named after nautical terms, likely a nod to their island locale. I got the Buoy, which was a tequila-based cocktail with blackberry, Campari, and rosemary. It was quite refreshing. We split the smoked salmon chips and dip, because we both love smoked salmon and Old Bay. This was tasty, but I think a cream cheese dip requires a chip that's sturdier than a potato chip. I ordered the seared ahi and my spouse ordered the burger. We both enjoyed the seared ahi, though I wish it had more of the whipped tahini and harissa. We agreed that the burger was solid, but not the best restaurant burger we've had. We finished with the key lime pie and pot de crème. Recommend both (though maybe avoid the pot de crème if you don't like coffee)!

Every dish was spot-on, fresh, and full of flavor. Rosie was our server and she was awesome--super friendly and on top of everything. Even got to say hi to the chef, which was a nice touch. If you haven't been in a while, go now. We'll definitely be back soon. 5 stars!

And to me, the price is too high for the food to just be "fine." The mocktails are always delicious, and one time they made me a Pimm's cup. I've also sipped a few of my family's cocktails and they're quite good. The best thing I had was a vegan sloppy Joe with chickpeas a few years ago. The vegan Caesar salad is good. They seem to have a housemade veggie burger on the menu year round, but it's on a brioche bun so if you want to get it vegan it just comes without a bun... I had it once with the bun and even then I found it pretty dry and underwhelming, especially for the price. ($18 with a pickle and a handful of their thick fries [the fries are tasty and vegan]). We went yesterday and I got a squash appetizer without the crème fresh, and half the squash was undercooked (like so hard I couldn't put a fork through it). I told the server and they comped the dish, but even the part that was edible wasn't that great, so I didn't really want a replacement. My sister likes the steak, she's had it twice and the steak is cooked well, the sauce is good, but the carrots have been undercooked both times. She agrees that the drinks are better than the food. She also says the desserts are good. My mom thought the crab cakes were delicious, her Brussels sprouts were not undercooked. The people who work there are lovely, and it's a good vibe, but it might just be a drinks & desserts spot for me.

Parking is limited, but there is a Park & Ride just up the way and a short walk to the lounge. Walk through the main doors of The Wild Mermaid and back to the Seagull lounge. You will find a large wrap around bar that seats around 12. Spirits (limited, but good), wine (3-4 varieties) and beer (6 draft), again, good selection. Service has been amazing each visit. Our first visit (my wife and I), we arrived a bit early hoping to grab a drink before catching the ferry. They weren't quite open in the back, but the bartender offered to pour a beer or wIne since we made the trip in. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed the view and watched the the ferries dock. It was a GREAT 1st impression and that's what keeps us coming back. Saturday evenings (around 7) were bustling with what to seem are locals. Again, welcoming and service top notch! We haven't eaten here, so I cannot speak for the food, but people all around us were eating and ordering more. Again, if you have some time before catching the ferry, or just decide to walk on just to visit this place...(remember, check the hours) its worth it. We will be coming back to this little gem over and over.

We came by after happy hour at Anthony's and listened to a live set of great music. The place was packed, but everyone is friendly and was willing to share their table with us. So, don't repeat my mistake.

Quarterdeck is what I like to call a "come for the vibes, stay for the drinks, eat... somewhere…read moreelse" kind of place. I stopped by while visiting Seattle and while the food situation was a bit chaotic (they had rotating menus because they were out of a few items), I ended up ordering a kimchi-inspired sandwich that I wanted to love...but it just didn't do it for me. Not inedible, maybe a 2/5, but I'd definitely try something else next time. My friend ordered what I think was the Garden Harvest Wrap (a staple on the menu), and that was more of a 3/5. Both dishes were served cold (intentionally), which I think made a difference, I could totally see them being much better if they were warm. Now let's talk about what is worth it: the mimosa flight. SO good. Like dangerously easy to sit there, sip through all of them, and forget any minor food disappointments. But honestly, the real star here is the ambiance. You're right on the water with the most effortless, breezy, coastal energy. Boats drifting by, sun hitting just right, people lingering over drinks--it's giving main character energy in the best way. I found myself wanting to stay way longer than planned and even doing some work while there. This is absolutely a spot I'd come back to, just with a strategy: eat before or after, and come here to sip, sit by the water, and take a little walk on the dock. 5 stars for the vibes alone
