$14 drinks in Seattle?! We absolutely love Revelry Room. A really fun menu, cool vibe, fantastic DJ. The highlight for me was the purple drank...tasted like ube ice cream meets tiki drink. Perfection. We also got the old fashioned and notorious fig which were really satisfying and unique. Can't wait to come back. This is a very welcome addition to the west Seattle neighborhood.

They had tamales and to be honest they were pretty good. The presentation for the food was poor, drinks were good but music was a bit loud. Hard to have a conversation. The bartender was great.

Nothing like it in Seattle. Feels like home. Great cocktails, service. 10/10, no notes.

I tried the "Purple Drank" which was so unique and delicious (rum, cachaca, orgeat, lime juice, orange juice, ube, cinnamon).

I got a kick out of both Star Wars and SpongeBob being played on the bar TVs while we decided on our order! Loved the chill vibe here. We ordered pickle chips to split-these were INCREDIBLE-they came with ranch, and they were crispy and chewy. They were addicting, and not greasy, oily or heavy in the batter they used to fry them. These managed to be both filling and light. Absolute win. I ordered an ABV free drink, True North. This was one of my favorite drinks I have ever had. I loved this combination of lime, ginger beer, hibiscus and the Pathfinder Hemp & Root. This was my first time trying this line of ABV free spirit, and I was blown away. True North was refreshing, not too sweet, bubbly and bright. We will definitely be coming back-there were lots of foods and cocktails we wanted to try.

You might have to wait for them to remember what they are selling, or flag them down for a check. If there were drink specials that made more sense, I could see a legitimate reason to spend time here drinking. This Goblin would pass on the food. I don't come here to eat. The food: expensive for what it is. Long ago dear reader, this Goblin worked in food service. He can spot "ready-made foods" from a mile away. This place leans more "eating to satiate", than "eating to satisfy", no matter how hard I fight my Goblin brain. Each meal, I come to terms with the sucker I am for eating a $27 omelette before tip. Herein lies our problem dear reader. Do I want a hummus plate for $12-15, that is essentially a disassembled and then reassembled menagerie of pre-made product on a plate? Or how about a cup of some mid-gumbo for $8? As a Goblin I have eaten many old soups out of a dirty cauldron, but Mid-Gumbo tastes like how Jack Harlow must feel waking up and telling himself he got blacker. Concerning the food (and Jack Harlow), it's about more than just lack of seasoning.

We've tried all kinds of things there, but what really keeps us coming back are the nachos. They are amazing! Sometimes better than others, but 80% of the time, they're truly incredible. Especially for $7.00 during Happy Hour. We don't get a protein, but my wife and I have never been able to finish them all. Did I get a mole? Did I come here for some work thing? I remember spending a bit above what I wanted to. The servers are helpful, but the bar is slow to get drinks out. They are also expensive and just okay. The interior looks like a Goblin outpost in a dark castle, so in that respect, they get points. There's a fire feature if you appreciate burning down the countryside like me. Sure, you can get some charred brussels sprouts in a balsamic glaze with feta and bacon to kick off the hang. But 2/3 times, the brussels sprouts came out as black as my Goblin heart. I like some smoke and char, but it tasted bitter and underwhelming. Chips and Gauc are serviceable, but don't come running. This place made more sense before exorbitant food cost increases across the greater Seattle area writ large. Let me paint one final picture for the real ones, "Matador is essentially Mexican Olive Garden with low lighting and candles". If you are okay with that, pull up a chair. In a world where four Goblins used to eat for $80, it made sense. No amount of sizzling fajita flare can change my mind.
