Hi Everyone,…read more Alright, alright, alright! Many of our pizza wants and desires have been fulfilled. We have a New Jersey Pizza joint that is serving up the real deal, here in our beloved, Low Country. That's right, Sports fans! So we decided on a cheese pizza because if you can't the base right, the toppings certainly don't matter. Their crust is the fantastic, authentic, and as good as it gets in the middle of the pie. They are so close to the real deal you will almost hardly notice that our Pizza maker needs to depress his dough edges between his fingers all the way around the entire pizza so he can flatten those edges enabling them to extend the pizza sauce and cheese all the way around the pizza before he stretches out the dough and flips it, in their very tastebud pleasing 18" pie. But the above, is the only difference in our opinion, between a real Jersey Pie, (pun intended), and Jersey Pie's pizza. The cheese to pizza sauce ratio is extremely well balanced which enhances their crisp, thin crust and its enticing pizza texture. Oddly, their pizza is not dripping with olive oil so the tip end of the thin Jersey crust bends when you pick it up to eat it, which frankly made it better tasting. This pizza is great hot or cold which is one of the true detailed tests for a Jersey style pie. Cold pizza for breakfast is a moderately heathy meal but without a savory taste, why bother. How do I know? Because when I was fifteen years old I was a pizza maker for Joe Mack (a Pizza Master) who, with his Brothers owned Mack's Pizza's four locations on the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ, where I grew up. Joe taught me and all his "Pizza Makers" how to make a perfect pizza pie. So yea, I know a little a little bit about making a great pizza. Their server Payton is very friendly, smiles delightfully, is efficient, and respectful, so their service is wonderful. The ambiance is Pizza Joint Modern, ya know, kinda like neighborhood restaurant where you go to eat great food, have a drink (when they get their liquor license. That's right, they are that new but is it's coming quickly), relax with good friends while discussing your heart felt feelings, who your upset with in your Family, events in your day, or sports but never politics or religion. I mean you don't want to die in a pizza joint. So we want to recommend to you and yours that you stop by and give Jersey Pie a try. Because I can guarantee, you have not tasted this pizza in The Low Country before. Enjoy!

Their pizza tasted good, their service was outstanding and we did not wait for our pizza. They offer a New York/Philly/New Jersey style pizza which is much thinner than a Chicago deep dish. They are located in an outdoor location, so sunshine and blue skies are your natural ambiance which we felt was a terrific change. They are only opened until 7:00 PM now, but in March they will begin closing at 8:00 PM. They were not crowed when we visited so we did not wait for a table. However, we would recommend you call first to check to ensure they have availability first, as we did. This restaurant is open to the public although, you do have to stop at the Sun City security gate and get a pass to enter. We recommend Argent Lakes Pub & Pizzeria which offers a a full bar with beer and wine, a limited Pub style menu and pizza, and because it is a great outdoor restaurant which we felt was a lot of fun. I would even drop in here for a quick, tasty bite when in the area.
