Turns out we made a friend, Chef Nunzio himself. We were there early in the day which allowed us to enjoy 20+ minutes visiting with and speaking with Chef Nunzio. My career was in restaurants as well and we had great conversations about food, preparations and different restaurant. Chef took time to make my wife, the Mother of our children feel very special, what a gentleman. Thank you Chef for our fantastic appetizer you prepared for us, that was special indeed. The Scallop Rigatoni Mezza entree was delicious. We've never been disappointed when dining at Nunzio's and this day was absolutely above in all regards. Ah, and that appetizer I took home for "dessert" was just as amazing at home as in the restaurant. Thanks Chef Nunzio and staff, thank you very much. You made Sharon's Mother's Day over the top!!! The staff continues to impress--attentive, warm, and they actually remembered us, which made the experience feel even more special. We even saw the young gentleman from Croatia again who had taken care of us on a previous visit--he was just as pleasant and even stopped by our table to say hello, which was such a nice touch. We dined later in the evening this time, and it was really special to see the staff, managers, and I believe even the owner all still there together. It felt less like coworkers and more like a family--which says a lot about a place. Food-wise, everything held up to our first visit (which is rare!). I couldn't resist and ordered the beef bourguignon again--still absolutely incredible. We also had escargot (note: it comes with béchamel unless you ask otherwise), and that amazing cassoulet loaded with different meats from the evening--it was spectacular. Safe to say this place is officially our favorite on the island... and yes, I'm still tempted to keep it a secret .

My hubby ordered one of the specials - some sort of chicken with broccoli & green beans and pasta with a creamy white sauce. Hubs was pleased with his meal.
