This is the second time that my wife and I have used Wine Tour Drivers and once again they blew us away!! Our first trip was during our honeymoon and Jeff was our driver. Jeff was fantastic but has since moved so Deanna set us up with our new driver - Kim! Deanna and Kim were both great about building an itinerary for the wineries we wanted to visit and even set up the appointments for us for ones that required appointment only. This was great as it was one less thing to worry about when we had to make sure we were good to go flying all the way from Florida! Kim picked us up right on time and immediately we knew we had another great driver. Kim is a Sebastopol local and gave us so much history on the area as well as her own recommendations on places to see. Kim is a very skilled driver and we felt comfortable the whole time going to and from the wineries. I planned a Mother's Day weekend in Calistoga with my 27 year old daughter. Although we are "Bay Areans" we had not travelled to wine country for the proverbial winery tour. As I had relocated out of the Bay Area, our travel would be with via my rental car. As our plans developed, I "wished" that I didn't have to drive and I also "wished" for help in deciding how to have an excellent wine-tasting adventure. My daughter found Wine Tour Drivers and my wishes came true! This service is unique in that it is insured to drive rental cars from all vendors. Competitors have arrangements with certain rental car agencies so there are inherent limitations. This was a most positive first green light to creating out day. The owner Deanna responded to each and every one of my emails quickly, professionally and with such great attention in providing guidance and insights into making our tour. She was warm, caring and so very helpful. She was thorough and very clear in what we could do, providing a list of suggested wineries given our spa location in Calistoga, our desire to see the Coppola winery, and choices for both big and small production wineries. Our driver was Lauran. I could not have asked for a better companion for my daughter and me! She contacted me the day before to confirm and make sure all my questions and concerns were answered. Her manner, like Deanna's, was friendly, warm and authentic. She arrived in time at 10 am, bringing along a cooler and water for our journey. She was so thoroughly knowledgable about the wineries as well as the areas we travelled and the history of the Alexander Valley. She was so accommodating and patient with our naïveté of the wineries. It felt as if we were travelling with a friend in all the best ways instead of a paid driver. Her lunch recommendation was perfect. As were the wineries selected, easily exceeding our expectations. The only way to go when wine tasting in Sonoma/Napa Valley. Using our own rental car is genius! From start to finish, it was perfect! Ahead of time Deanna asked if we had wineries we were wanting to visit or she offered to set a plan for us. Planned on meeting at the airport so we could end back there to drop off our rental car and get on the plane-no driving whatsoever! Dylan texted and we arranged where to meet-we had a few wineries we wanted to visit then asked Dylan for a couple recommendations and he was right on! He called ahead for us and made the necessary reservations. He also suggested a lunch stop (dry creek general store-very cool!) and a winery where we could eat -Rodney Strong. Great experience. Very convenient to have DD drive around all day and they had prearranged reservations and planned the day out so we didn't have to worry about anything. For a cheaper and closer alternative to Napa, price was a little more than I'd expect, more in the Napa range (tourist markup) but we took a cheaper option to have our driver with our own vehicle. Overall, it was a great experience and driver was friendly and helpful, bringing us our bags and snacks. She also had the car in the shade and ready to go each visit so the AC was on and not unbearable while we departed to the next venue. We used this service for a girls trip with 5 of us and it couldn't have gone smoother! From the beginning Deanna made planning the wineries we were going to incredibly easy. If there was 0 stars I would give it. While our driver (Dylan-owners son) was pleasant, the owner of this business is a nightmare to deal with. Unprofessional and will charge you whatever she feels like. When questioned multiple times about charges she finally sent bills that still was overcharging our group. I had 7 different charges on my card. In addition, she left me a voicemail saying we had taken her son away from her on Mothers Day. What?! We booked a tour on Mothers Day but she scheduled her son to be our driver. Crazy! We used the company 2 days ($700) and we're going to do a 3rd day but 2 in our group were sick- I sent Deanna a message 4 hrs later Deanna the owner sent me an email saying she was still charging us for a full day. I then called since it was close to our original pick up time and there were 2 couples that still wanted to visit wineries and the owner said she had already re booked our driver. So she re booked our driver but then was still charging us full. Double-dip and not good small business practice. We were very disappointed. read more

We procrastinated at arranging transportation for our wine tours but were able to get a driver at the last minute with wine tour drivers. Deanna even arranged for our driver to drop off his car at our time share and have somebody else bring him to meet us at our first winery which was clutch!
