Had a great experience at Winestyr! My work team and I were invited to attend a wine tasting and, even though we were a pain when it came to the scheduling, Adrienne was really flexible and made it work with our schedule. Basically you set up an appointment for 2-8 people (ideally) and Adrienne and team curate 5 or so wines for your group to try. My group tried two whites and three reds. Pours were generous so you really got to taste the wines and decide if you liked them or not. They also provided a small cheese/fruit platter and a mini app plate. Ultimately, of course, the goal is for you to buy a few bottles of wine (which all of us did) or join their wine club. We never felt pressured to make a purchase, but everything we tried was awesome so it was hard not to buy something. They specialize in small batch wine--typically fewer than 1000 cases per wine--so everything is from small vineyards and is pretty unique and you can't buy it at any liquor/wine store. Highly recommend setting up an appointment--you never know what kind of wine you'll find and fall in love with! read more

I joined Winestyr as a member last year based on the way it was promoted to me. I buy wine frequently but I was more interested in bringing family and friends to the Winestyr lounge as it's a nice location with a positive atmosphere. I was able to enjoy this 3 times before the vibe changed and I was being asked numerous questions of who I'm bringing in and if they would be willing to sign up as a member. This was handled in a manner that I (and my friends who are also Winestyr members) did not appreciate. We were all being turned down appointments if we are not strategically bringing in new customers. I did not sign up to be an extension of the Winestyr sales department. I understand that the space is small and they are probably not well equipped to scale and take in so many customers. I think their customer base grew too fast for the space. I have cancelled my membership and have taken my business elsewhere. So have my friends who were also members. I would not recommend becoming a member here unless you are willing to consistently bring in new potential customers for the winestyr sales team. read more

I love this wine club! We have been members for a while so I don't know how I haven't reviewed it. The club is an awesome place to bring family or friends who may be interested in membership. I also really like the events- you donate $20 to the California wildfire funds usually and get to sip multiple glasses! They also always have cheese and crackers and sometimes music. I really do enjoy the box subscription though. I'm someone who isn't overly adventurous when it comes to wine, so this has helped me learn new things! Gruner is now a favorite of mine. I also don't like to choose at the grocery and like these just come boxed up and you know it's good. I also thinks it's awesome to support these smaller wineries who make just delicious wine. It's great we have access to that through this club! read more

Really cool experience for a group of friends. The space is beautiful and cozy, and it seems as though it gets quite crowded with different groups doing tastings. I enjoyed the tasting experience and really appreciated the cheese plate too! The wines were all great quality, and Winestyr did a great job and selling their memberships- two of us signed up for the quarterly package. BEWARE! I BELIEVE WINESTYR IS A BIG SCAM! I'm not one to ever write negative reviews... I look for resolutions directly with the company. However I have reason to believe Winestyr takes your money and doesn't execute on shipments. Over the course of two weeks I spoke to three employees, one being Bob, a founder of the company. I was intending to send gifts to 7 clients. They never prepared the order, despite me checking daily, and they ultimately never sent it. My clients received none of the thoughtful gifts or notes I'd put together for them. Two years ago I did another large order with Winestyr and not a single one of my clients ever acknowledged receiving the gifts. I'm now realizing that they were probably NEVER SENT in the first place even though the orders were paid in full! I've looked back at my correspondence back then, and when I asked for tracking information, it was never shared with me. Complete failure. Possible fraud. Beware. read more

They have great wines legitimately from small producers that you simply cannot buy in a local store. See original review below: I have been a subscriber to their wine club for the past year. They screwed up the shipment in December and it never arrived. They credited my account and promised a complementary reshipment. Two months later, that has never arrived. I have been trying to contract them for a week via email and via phone. They have never responded. I have used them for corporate gifts as well as my own personal wine club membership and have been pleased with the wines; however their customer service is really pretty bad. My girlfriend saw something about Winestyr from a local blogger so we decided to give it a try the next time we were in Chicago. We're big wine people so after researching a little more about the company we booked a tasting appointment this past week during our visit. We were one of the first appointments that afternoon so it was just us and the two employees. We received a very warm greeting and after a brief explanation of how the tasting would proceed we were swirling our first of 5 wines. The atmosphere of the space was really cool and had a great vibe. Before each wine we tried, the staff would sit down and tell all the details about the wine. This was really neat and it was cool to hear some of the stories behind the wineries they work with. Most of them are small producers so the stories were great. Their wine membership is great and offers multiple options that fits everyone's budget. We opted for the quarterly wine shipment of all red wines. We love in Kansas so it was awesome that most of the wineries they work with ship to us! We actually ended up adding a few extra bottles from their website onto our first club shipment. The whole order shipped a few days after our tasting so we can wait to start sipping. read more

Winestyr is one of the BEST wine distributors out there! The selections of wines they send have always been spot on to our liking and extremely quality wines. I have joined other wine distributors like Winestyr and received younger wines that were not to my/our taste. I have not had that with Winestyr. I've been a member for 2+ years. Emily has always been responsive right away if I had any questions and took care of my concerns immediately with no problems. I have read some of the not so good reviews and would like to remind people there are two sides to every story. I would recommend Winestyr to anyone that would like quality wines that you can't find in your local liquor store and would like them delivered to your door or your local Walgreens if you are out of town at the time of delivery. I invited the first reviewer (Sara G.) to Winestyr and then she snagged the "first to review" title. Lame. What wasn't lame? Our visit to Winestyr! Adrienne reached out to me on LinkedIn and we had our team visit last night (Adrienne recommends groups of 2-8). The space itself is very cool - think rustic chic. There were three of us and we were the only group that night and we had the whole joint to ourselves. Adrienne was awesome and knowledgeable. The pours kept coming (we each tried 5 small batch wines from the great Golden state). Winestyr's mission is to bring local, small batch wines that you can't get anywhere else to wine enthusiasts. You can purchase 1+ bottles directly from them or sign up for the wine club which includes member perks and discounts. There are lots of options available and no pressure at all. All in all, it was a fun time. They even gave us some tasty snacks, good company, and I truly dug the tunes (they have a Winestyr playlist on Spotify if you want to check it out!). One of the founders even swung by and had a glass with us. Winestyr has a good thing going, so you should check it out soon. I will definitely be back to try and buy some more of their delicious wines! Pro-tip: Don't wear shoes that make you wobbly at all. I love my membership and customer service is excellent. We've been members for about a year now and our shipments are always on time and we've never been disappointed in the selection. Emily has helped us on shipping receipt problems and also in reordering a favorite wine. She is prompt in her replies and always provides assistance. Membership is very versatile and shipments may be omitted as you wish (vacation, not needed, etc. ). I was delighted to "find" Winestyr a few years ago. The customer benefits from club membership in being able to obtain wines from smaller producers at a reasonable price. My wife and I joined our friends for a trip to Chicago. A part of that we had a wine tasting at Winestyr - our friend learned about this wine club through online research. We had been searching for a long while for a wine club that is engaging, personal, and affordable with interesting wines from independent wineries. Our tasting was amazing, with a friendly and informative host. We and the other couple joined the wine club and have really enjoyed learning about and trying a variety of wines we otherwise would not be able to get. My only negative is that some of the wines I have tried to purchase are not sold or shipped to my state. However, there are plenty of other wines that have satisfied my taste buds.
