I wasn't a fan of this place. The wings are tiny and dried out, and the sauce was too watery to stick to the wings. This place (back in 2009) was known as the best wing spot in all of Brooklyn. Now everybody goes down to Buffalo Boss on Fulton st for real wings. The staff here are okay but the wings are soggy and even dry sometimes. The sauces are bland and taste like they just poured it over the wings and bagged em'. No es bueno. I've been going to Wing Wagon foreverrrrrrr! I've tried everything but the wings and mozzarella sticks combo is my fave. I do wish they would put the mozzarella sticks in a separate container though because they get soggy and soak up all of the wing juice....I probably could ask but I always forget until it's too late. The best wings i've ever had! Hands down! Why I guess they don't hold back when it comes to the spice!! The have X, XX, and XXX and I think it gets worse-in a good way. The wings are prefect size, and drenched in their hot sauce! I never really order the fries or anything, although the people who own the place are really friendly, and I have never had a problem with my order. It's right on flatbush, so its convenient to pick some up when you get off the Q train. So bad..I have to often take another train line just to avoid it! Thats how addictive this place is... I order from here a lot during the Football Season. Decent wings and burgers. Try it, it is good. BUT this is not why I am writing this review though. I went there on Superbowl Sunday to pick up some wings, this was after calling 4 times and being hung up on. So I went there, now I know that is like XMAS shopping on XMAS eve. But you would think they would have been more prepared. There was "pre order line" that was not moving and a "to place a order line" that was not moving. Why would I pre order 10 wings for my wife and I? The place was mobbed and I people were yelling, there was police in there trying to calm people down. It's so refreshing to find a place specializing in delicious wings, two subway stops away! The wings *could* have been a bit juicier, but compared to other random Brooklyn take-out wing places, I'm not complaining. I got the extra hot wings to go, and they were still piping hot by the time I got home. Next time I will ask for the xxx hot wings, as they weren't quite as spicy as I thought they would be. Saturday was "wing day" for a friend and I, and stop number 2 was Wing Wagon. I have to say I was not impressed. Though they were the cheapest wing place we visited, I'd also say the quality suffered. We got an order of fries with our wings, and they tasted like the oil in the fryer hadn't been changed in six years, or maybe they had just finished frying a shoe in there. The wings themselves were under performed. The the sauce was OK, but the wings were not as crispy as I would have liked, and I think they were a lower grade chicken than other places we went to. Been a Wing Wagoneer for 15 yrs+. Our family always piles up on 30-50 wings & orders fried extra because we abhor the thought of soft and mushy. We always get extra sauce and veggies. Bang for the buck, this place is pretty good. Not the greatest wings in the world, but at 53 cents each, I'm hardly in a position to complain. We had a craving, ordered over the phone, and it was at the door within 10-15 minutes -- piping hot and the delivery guy was very nice. The honey bbq was pretty good. The medium is not hot at all. At all. The carrots were pretty dry. The fries were good but I wouldn't recommend them for delivery. They just don't seem to travel well and were pretty soggy by the time they reached us. The wings just aren't what they used to be. I remember being in high school and thinking they were the best ever. But something has gone terribly wrong. The quality of the wings - in general- seem to be the cheapest they can find. Very tiny, you'd have to eat a barrel of them to feel like you've eaten something. I also don't remember the french fries tasting like garbage either. And be ready to stand in line for a while be ready to deal with not so nice cashiers. I've tried for months now to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it's been the same service every time. I was sorely disappointed. Sorely! I shall be sore for days! I figured that since this place specializes in wings we went ahead and ordered 20 piece- Half X-hot the other half honey bbq. The sauces were definitely tasty but, what a waste going on tiny dry overly fried wings. I chicken fingers, look and taste like they come from a bag in the frozen food aisle. Wing Wagon was decent. I had an order of 10 Honey BBQ wings and wasn't overly impressed with the size or quality of the sauce. They were tastey but no nothing special. The order of sweet potato fries was way more than I could eat so it was nice to bring home a treat. What really won me over and will cause me to go back is the service. I got a peach snapple with my meal and because they were slightly room temp since just being restocked they gave it to me for free. On top of that I forget it when I went to go sit down and 10min later when I realized it and went back to get the drink they had put it in the fridge for me so even though I didn't pay for it i was served it cold. The wings were a joke. Super small wings and the fries were a joke and this was the lunch special. Waste of money would never return, first and last time Applebee's or whatever does better wings even the local Chinese food spot is a better bet not to mention one wing averaged to right around a $1 a pop. Minutes later, behold, 8 beautiful wings, golden fries, and my soft drink. However, to my surprise, I had a bundle of napkins, wipes, salt, pepper, celery, carrots, and dipping sauce. If youre in the area craving wings from a local spot this is the "best" place to go. The price is good and they have enough flavors to keep you happy. The wings are the best in terms of size or how they are cooked. I will say when Im craving wings I will always go here vs BWW which is down the street. But also if I just want some sort of simple buffalo wing or bbq wing there are better spots within the same range as this place. So if no frills cheap and the crave for wings is high enough then go for sure. Ill say when I get the crave I will still go but my expectations are just to fill a crave with something. read more
