First Dallas experience. Reading some of the reviews I realized the portions were going to be crazy. I ordered 5 wings (for the 2 flavours) and had the mango as well as the Billy Bleu. The mango was just right - tart, spicy and sweet all mixed. The Billy Bleu was more of a hot wing covered with blue cheese. They were full sized wings (with tip, drum and wing). I was only able to eat 4 because I had ordered a salad as well (looking for a more balanced meal!) The salad was fresh, pretty standard. The garlic Parmesan fries were really good. You could tell the oil they fried in was fresh with a golden colour finish and the garlic Parmesan was just right. The eating area was comfortable with lots of seats to choose from. Soooooo I did not know this place served original style wings..you know like the whole dang wing still together lol. I was definitely not expecting It but I didn't let that stop me from ordering. I was hangry and I walked like 3 blocks to get there so whole wings is what I was gonna get. I'm not a meat on bones type of girl so that's why I was thrown off but I didn't let It discourage me. Wow, meat is not hard to come by in Texas. This was my first stop after dropping my luggage off at the nearby Sheraton, hungry and in search of this so-called amazing Texan food. I surely didn't have the stomach for a heaping portion of Texan BBQ, but a local chain like WingBucket caught my eye. Everything on their menu is giant. The menu itself is giant! But that made it difficult to tell what portion I should be getting for a semi-hungry, jetlagged stomach. I went with three giant wings, doused in lemon pepper and dipped in neon yellow honey mustard. Wings here were the bomb. Everything was burn-your-fingers hot, juicy, and just crispy enough to get a nice crackle when biting in. I ripped apart each wing to make a true wing and drummette, which allowed it to cool. My only complaint is that the dry rub distribution on the wings was insanely uneven. I'd bite into a part that was entirely unseasoned, and as my jaw chomped at the ends of the bone, get a wheezing-fit-full of lemon pepper. Despite this, the quantity of food a pretty good value at roughly $9 for three wings. And of course, because that wasn't enough, I got a side of fried green beans, which were delicious. The green beans were soft and still retained some of its moisture and original flavor. The batter was less greasy than expected, but it still smelled and tasted like a vat of cooking oil. (Actually, everything in Dallas smelled vaguely deep fried, so that might just be me projecting onto these beans.) At $3.50, this was a good order to split with my co-workers. Unfortunately, even with three people pecking at these, they sadly went unfinished. I'm alarmed by the fact that their daiquiris come from slushie machines, the kinds that I expect mall food court pretzel stands and 7-11s to have. This was my first time visit. The negatives first. The restaurant is not the cleanest. Fingerprints all over the entrance door suggest it hadn't been cleaned in a few months. The glass divider between the hight top counter that has stools for seating and the aisle that people walk up the the order counter is pretty filthy, with food splatter, fingerprints and smears. A little Windex would go a really long way here! The condiment counter needed cleaning and probably sanitizing. The Men's room was locked. Now I didn't know that at first but you would think that the staff would. I asked an employee where the Men's room was and she told me. I didn't know I was supposed to ask if it's locked too. After learning that little mystery up close and personal, I had to return to the order counter to get the entry code (2323). Now despite this being a locked restroom, there are graffiti messages scratched all into the glass mirror. No paper towels in there either, so be forewarned. It's clear that, unlike McDonalds, no one is checking the restrooms hourly. Given the fact this place sells off a menu heavy in finger sauces where customers are probably wanting to wash hands after a sticky meal in a higher percentage than say McDonalds, it's a little baffling that the restrooms are not getting serviced. Once my food was ordered and paid for and I moved over to the high top area, an employee came out a little later to tell me that they were out of the baked beans I had ordered. Another sign of a ship not well run! One substitution later, I finally got my order of Jumbo wings. Now jumbo wings seems like a marketing gimmick way of selling wings that the restaurant saves money on by not having to spend money on cutting these down to smaller pieces the way most wing restaurants do and instead charge more money for this "deal". I would rather have the smaller wing pieces and pay less money. The one food item worth mentioning here as exceptional is the bacon cheddar Mac which was delicious and among the best I've ever tasted. Otherwise the food and sweet tea was pretty unremarkable. Mediocre I would say. Not really good, not really bad. Mediocre. My advice: give this place a deep clean, replace the damaged furnishings (I asked an employee if they could turn on one of the big screen wall mounted TV's and she said it's broken; in football season?? At a chicken wing place? Really?! ) I would say ownership is probably absentee. And is letting local management run this slowly into the ground. It's a shame because at 6:30pm on a Saturday night in downtown Dallas, this place was drawing a pretty nice customer crowd of families and young adults . The nearby hotels are natural customer feeders to this place. It just needs a light makeover, hands on management and a serious commitment to run this place beyond the phoning it in attitude that employees have here. It could be much much more from a revenue generating perspective if owners got serious about running this place right. read more

I came here this past Saturday night (06/17/17) approximately 10:30PM and the lady who was working the counter was very rude. I wish I could remember her name but when you have people who have told you that it's their first time at your establishment you should have a completely different attitude. My friend suggested this place because he is a regular but not particularly at this location. He was even surprised at the bad customer service and apologized to me and explained this wasn't the normal... Pass all the mess for now we ended up ordered both the traditional wings and also some of the chicken tenders. One thing that I do really like about this place is all the options that they have when it comes to picking out a flavor for your chicken. I went with the tenders and flavors of some kind of blue cheese and the hickory bbq I believe. As a side I went with the Bacon Mac'n Cheese. When you check into YELP they do offer you an additional wing or tender of any flavor! Cool right? Like normal all you do is let the cashier know and they will get that added onto your order. One of the most creative flavors they had was "Sour Cream & Onion"! Sounds so different but my friend loves this flavor and let me try one of his wings! I can honestly say it was delicious! Is it just me or when I hear of Sour Cream & Onion I immediately think of the chips or hell even the dip! The seating outside is limited but suggested! We chose to sit outside and people watch because it's downtown on a Saturday night! As I suspected it was some crazy stuff happening and walking by so it helps you enjoy your meal and cocktail! Which speaking of, they do offer certain draft beers and also wines. Unfortunately they didn't have the type of wine in stock that we were interested in and of course didn't find this out until AFTER we ordered and were charged. No regular bar items are available either so you have to keep it cute with the wine or beer. Update; So I've been coming here for a while now and never had an issue with my to go order. Except for last night of course. My order was completely wrong when I picked it up on my way to work and didn't realize it was wrong until lunch time when of course they were closed. Called back a few minutes ago just to let the Manager know what happened. Really wasn't expecting anything in return. She asked me if I still had my receipt as proof of purchase and I told her I did not but I paid by Credit card. Her response was, " I'm sorry I can't do anything to help you without a recipe because I didn't work last night"? What? Are you serious! Was exploring downtown Dallas and came across this place. The vibe is nice, and upon entering the staff greeted us. They have TVs and a nice seating area. They also have frozen drinks, but we didn't order those. We ordered the 10 piece half ribs and half wings with fries and 2 drinks. We had no idea how big the food was going to be, and once we saw it, our eyes got huge. The wings were delicious! I can't remember what flavor we got, Cajun something. The ribs were too salty for us. They were tender, but way too salty, almost as if they had been sitting in seasoning salt way too long. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars.
