Found this place on yelp!! Decided to go and give it spin!! The place is small and cozy. The workers were nice. It was small but I was ordering to go so not my rodeo. I got the Italian wings, house fries, catfish fillets, Mac&Cheese, candied yams, and a strawberry margarita. The Catfish was 10/10 crispy seasoned not too salty perfect!! The Italian wings were recommended and I'm glad they did 9/10. Candied yams were delicious 10/10. Mac&Cheese was good as well 7/10. I loved the fries they were seasoned to perfection 10/10 they were good after I got home.. The greens were a bit of a drop off they were cooked well but not seasoned. Party of 5 is a Black-owned, family-owned restaurant run by a husband, wife, and their three kids. I love that. The menu is small and focused on homestyle comfort food, which I actually prefer over a menu with 87 random options. They also had a whiteboard of cocktails, all priced at $10. I ordered a margarita, and it was not the best or the worst. It was a little too sweet for me. I like mine tangier and more tequila-forward, but it was drinkable. The food was amazing overall. I ordered the greens, yams, and lemon pepper penne pasta with chicken. Greens: 4/5 Great flavor with a little kick. My only complaint was the number of stems. Lemon pepper penne: 3/5 The lemon pepper flavor was a little too subtle for me. It tasted more like Alfredo, and the sauce was thinner and more watery than I prefer. Yams: 5/5 The star of the show. Sweet, flavorful, and the consistency was perfect. Everybody at the table ended up ordering their own yams because nobody wanted to share. Of course, I also sampled everybody else's food. Mac and cheese: 5/5 Cheesy, creamy, flavorful, and served piping hot. No complaints. Creamy penne pasta: 5/5 I honestly wish I had ordered this instead. The house-made cream sauce with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and Parmesan was so good. They ran out of chicken breast for my order, but the way they handled it was above and beyond. They comped me and made me an entire meal to take home. That is what customer service is supposed to look like. The restaurant is quaint, so I highly recommend making a reservation, especially on the weekend. I had to email to reserve because I did not get an answer when I called. The space could use a little sprucing up, but the food and service easily outweigh the lack of decor. I really liked this place because it's black owners business & family owned. The food was bussing! This was the crispy and most flavorful catfish I ever had. The Mac and cheese & asparagus were good! They ran out of yams so I was unable to try them but so far everything was good. We also go the salmon bites and I loved them as well. The place is an intimate setting so better for dates in my opinion. Service was okay due to its family owned so doesn't seem like they have a lot of outside folks. The drinks were ehhh. They don't have any top shelf liquor and it's only wells so. That's the only reason why I gave 4 stars but it's okay. I'll be back friends! read more

There were seven guests in our party. Party of 5 was able to comfortably accommodate us at one table and have our delicious food out in an appropriate time. I had the breakfast tacos and asked if I could have spinach added to which they did. Breakfast potatoes were simple but very good. We were told that there were no seafood, pasta or yams available - we went during brunch. While the brunch menu is limited, it was fresh and tasty. I would return. The owner was nice. The server was average. Parking...be prepared to walk and pay as there isn't much free parking available. They did validate though. read more

Just got my haircut and found out this spot opened up a month ago around the corner from the barbershop. The moment you walk in, you're vibing to great music and a lively atmosphere. The fried catfish is where it's at!!!! Perfectly crisp and seasoned right. I paired mines with asparagus and found great pleasure in what I ate. I also had the Italian wings. These crispy fried chicken wings are coated in a flavorful, finger-licking Italian- dressing/spice. I also got the fries but would pass on them if I came again. Some were crunchy, some were soft and some were greasy. I can't wait to come back and try something else once they expand there menu. read more

Food was great, it's a pretty small restaurant with an intimate setting. I had the catfish which was fried hard and fresh . I did try three sides; the Mac and cheese, yams and greens and I would say I could go without the Mac. Not necessarily sure what it was missing but it was something . It wasn't bad it just was missing something idk. Anyways the service was great and I found out after you can get 5$ off your parking with them so park in the lot next door: also the server recommended a bakery shop next door since they didn't have dessert on the menu and it was really good. I was looking to order take out. I called around 11am on a Sunday and was placed on hold. After waiting 10mins I decided to get in my car and make my way there. I hung up when I walked in the door. They had 3 tables, and a team member just standing around the bar. The woman walks up and says "oh, you were the one on the phone. Hold on'" Then she proceeds to go in the back for a while. Comes back out and starts checking on the 3 tables. She began to serve the tables and go back and forth for condiments. Another 15 goes by and she has yet to take my order. I get that they must be short on staff but to ignore me and not take my to go order is ridiculous. With the time spent on the phone and sitting in the establishment doesn't make any sense. I can say the food we actually got was good. The customer service horrible. We did not get water and our drinks almost 30 min later and that was asking again. The food came out an hour later and we were missing 3 items. We informed the waitress. Also our drinks tasted strange and later heard another waitress tell some guest they were out of one of the ingredients which made sense why the drink tasted strange however NEVER informed us of this information after we asked prior how was the drink made.. The cook who we found out that was the owner aggressively came out asking what's the problem. His whole demeanor was not of an Owner who did not accept accountability or empathy. We never got the missing food but received our ticket to basically leave. I am a person who gives grace and sitting for an hour or even 30 min to be greeted or get water. This place has food potential BUT the def lack CUSTOMER SERVICE. Even the lady next to us was just solo and still had not gotten her food she complained then brought her food but fail to say they ran out of yams. Terrible service. read more

This hidden gem is a MUST try! You'll definitely be a fan afterwards! We walked in to be greeted by the staff who quickly seated us, got our drink order and told us that the chef would come out to greet us momentarily! The owners are down to earth, genuine good people who love seeing smiles on their customers faces. The atmosphere and vibe was everything! We were looking for a laid back chill place to have a meal and this spot is definitely that place! The food was impeccable and so were the drinks!
