I am a african american woman and a caucasian friend of mine were just racially profiled for the first time and I'm feeling a little unsettled I went downtown to wingin out. I go in I don't have a mask but I'm covering my face with my sweater. Anyways there's a female cashier (who happens to also be white) I start speaking she cuts me off mid sentence and says I can't serve you if you don't have a mask. Understandable. I go back out to my friend and he says I'll try. Mind you he doesn't have a mask either, a few minutes later he comes out and a black guy comes out behind him. He tells me the woman smiled and started taking his order before her boss a pakistani man told him they can't serve them. I get something to cover my face and go back in place the order. Wait 15 minutes I go back in and the woman says did you forget something ? Im confused Im like I'm trying to get my food and she says the friend you're with just came and got it and I say to her there's no way possible I was sitting by them the whole time. I go get my friend. They're pissed off, I'm remaining calm and the girl is speechless, she's studdering realizing she assumed I was with the other black man and gave him the food me and my friend just waited 20 minutes for. The pakistani man is telling my friend to calm down and asking me repeatedly why I want a refund. I say to him sir it's not my fault you and you're coworker assumed that because he is a black man and I'm a black women that automatically were together, you racially profiled me and my friend and gave our food away to some random stranger. Needless to say they were dumbfounded and gave me a refund after arguing back and forth with them for a while. Neither worker offered an apology. The man even took it a step farther to come outside and look and see if me and my friend were in the car together. I decided to try Wingin Out earlier this week. Upon walking in, the first thing I noticed was that the speakers had a very hi fidelity sound to them. I was grooving to some red hot chilli peppers. Good start. I ordered a half pound of boneless wings and 7 bone in. The girl behind the counter was excited telling me about her favorite flavors for each kind of wing. I settled on kickin ranch for boneless wings and carribean jerk for bone in as recommended. They have a fry and drink combo as well so I tried that. I take a sear Food came in about 12 mins. Not too bad for fresh chicken wings. I was told they don't use frozen wings, which is always nice. The fries were tasty. The chicken was on point in my honest opinion. Moist - the sauces were tingling my taste buds. I ate this food in a totally sober state and they were great. I think they would also be killer after a night of drinking. I will return and bring friends. I am not sure why there are so many haters on yelp, I for one will be trying their delivery service next weekend. read more

This place is delicious! Do not waste your time reading the bitter, grumpy, lame reviews about this place. This was my first time here and I consider myself a wing snob. These wings are fresh, big, meaty, and juicy. There are plenty of sauce options for everyone. Their chicken tenders and boneless wings are made in house. Yes this place does deliver, but anyone who even claims to has a mediocre pallet should know take out is for lazy bums. If you enjoy food you should know it is best when it is fresh. Eat it where it is made. Especially something like wings, who likes old wings? It took all of 5 min for us to get our wings. And lastly, Fresh chicken is more delicious, but it is also more expensive. BWWs is high off something if they charge you $20 for like 12 skimpy wings, and they are dry there anyways. Before I start my review I want to stress that this place isn't bww nor does it want to be, which is actually a good thing. I've been a few times and every time I go the boneless wings are great, they're tender size which can be good or depending on the person ordering. For me its a good thing it tells me that they bread their own chicken and if you stand at the counter you can actually see them do it. It makes for good quality wings and even though it took 7-15 minutes every time I went I'd gladly wait that time if it meant my wings will be that great every time I go. Now for the sauces, there's a lot (15-20) ive only tried 4 but I can definitely say I have a favorite that you won't find at bww. I came to Columbia to visit my old college friend that lives in the area. He mentioned there was a new wings place in town and being wing lovers we decided to check it out. We were BLOWN AWAY! The wings WERE TO DIE FOR! We shared 10 Boned wings with Medium Buffalo Sauce and 1 Lb of the Boneless with Teriyaki. We also had the opportunity to speak with the owner. He was super friendly and takes great pride in his wings. He explained how the chicken he uses are never frozen, always delivered fresh, and you can definitely tell the difference. I don't know what the 1 star guy was smoking, but these wings were absolutely delicious and some of the best I've had. I can't wait to come back and get my hands on some more! read more

Close enough to campus to walk but I stopped in to get change for my meter... once inside I figured we could get a snack: very glad I did. I often hit places like BWW and frankly the quality of this product is far superior both in size and preparation. Also... Better get a LARGE fry because even when they are gone you will want just one more!!! I noticed someone mentioned in their review that the prices were steep; my daughter and I both ate past satisfaction on only $12 including a small tip. Really good & speedy service! The environment was clean, well lit, and had plenty of TV's with a variety of shows and events to watch. The cashier was the best part of my visit! Her name's Bethanny. She's really knowledgeable about the menu and gives her honest opinion on the items. & damn she's beautiful. Like a dime piece. I stared at her for a good 10 minutes before I even looked at the menu. If you order online and get a combo, make sure to select your sides and drink you want, I forgot to and it just said I wanted the wings, I came back with my order after picking it up and realizing I only had wings in the bag and the owner there was more than happy to help accommodate me and get me set up right. Not only are the wings rumored to be disgusting... but the staff is loud, aggressive and known to verbally harass those in the community. I was personally singled out on two occasions.
