I don't know how new this restaurant is, but there's some work to be done for sure. Because we were with the kids, we opted for 24 tenders (between 5 people) and 5 fountain drinks. This ran $72. Yikes Dining room is in progress. I think. Fountain ratio is a bit off our sodas tasted "tap water"-y I watched someone come in with store bottles of BBQ and other sauces. Like, from the grocery store. And these tenders were not made in house. My husband watched them be poured from a bag. I paid $72 for stuff from Grocery Outlet I'm like 99% sure.

A new restaurant has opened in what use to be the old Long John Silver restaurant on Kietzke Lane; the sign reads "Wings and Beer", and the smaller sign below it reads "NOW OPEN". The first time I dropped by, the parking lot was full of vehicles, but today, there were a few people and not overly crowded. According to the cashier, this establishment is a small family-owned-mom-and-pop operation, and they've only been open for a couple of days; so they are still getting their bearings. The restaurant has a small menu which lists bone-in and boneless chicken wings, chicken tenders, regular and loaded fries, some dessert options and of course, beer (as the name would imply), plus non-alcoholic drinks too. I opted for a 10-pcs order of Garlic Parmesan wings. They offer different varieties of sauces like; buffalo, teriyaki or mango habanero but I didn't want anything spicy. The wings, were slightly crispy on the outside but tender on the inside; it came with both ranch and blue cheese dressing plus a generous helping of napkins and wet wipes (in case you opted for the saucier versions). Altogether, my order came to about $20 including tip. The restaurant is pretty casual and no-frills; definitely had a laid back and chill vibe. There's a tv in the dining area and I venture this would be a great place to eat wings, drink a beer or two, and watch a game with your buddies. The service is friendly and accommodating but it does take a couple minutes for your wings to be ready because it's all made-to-order; patience key. Overall, it was a good first visit, I will definitely have to pay them another visit and try some of the other offerings on their menu.

    #2-3 tenders, drink, fries.

Once again i tried to go back and hoped things got better. Love the sauce but They have completely went to shit. I paid $50 for these poor excuse for chicken tenders. Ordered #2. 3 CHICKEN TENDERS fries and a drink. Soda fountain only had coke, sprite, and fanta. You should probably mention that before you allow us to pay for a soda we don't want. Drive thru doesn't work and they act like it does when you call them, get there, and sit at the window for a few and never get seen or served. Complete rip off and suggest you just get your chicken tenders and wings in the frozen isle at walmart. Don't waste your time!

I tried this place randomly as I was driving down kietzke looking for lunch and saw the Long John Silvers was replaced by a place that said Wings & Beer and I was sold. It was interesting to see how they could reuse pieces of the LJS franchise and make it work for them. I tried the Bacon Rub and Sweet & Sour extra crispy bone-in wings and they were awesome. I want to go back at dinner time with a bigger group because the more wings you order the cheaper it is per wing. Also I can try the beer that way as well. It's a welcome option in the area that's different from just another fast food chain.

Wings. Look good. The order was wrong but ya don't send back in small places.

Food is ok. Order was wrong. Received fries at the end. Wrong fries. Over all is a business that is new so having hope it gets better. Sports on the tvs and its nice calmness in the air. Nice staff. Thats always a plus!!

Family meal. 25 wings and a bunch of steak fries with ranch

Got wings and beer.... Staff was friendly and very helpful. Got 15 bone in wings with three different sauces and 10 boneless. Steak fries were also on point. Reasonable prices. We got the family deal, which was a lot of food for two people, but they gave us a to go box and will be a whole meal for us tomorrow. We tried 5 different sauces. Wife really liked the tamarindo sauce and the bacon rub. They put fresh jalapeño and habanero slices on my boneless wings which I thought was a really nice touch. Will gladly be back shortly.

    Old hard fries

Worst place ever. Paid over $100 for soggy, cold, soaked fries and wings that were cold and flavorless. There's a reason why this place is a ghost town inside.

We were driving around, finding a place to eat, and we saw a sign for Wings and Beer and decided to stop by. We had the mango habanero crispy wings and they were sooo good! They were crispy and juicy with a nice glaze, and we liked the flavor. We will definitely be back. They have some tvs and it would be a great place to watch a game and enjoy wings and beer. Service was friendly.

Just don't do it. As much as I love wings and wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, this place was NOT worth it at all.

So, after looking at the array of flavors that they had, I went with the buffalo sweet-and-sour, the Parmesan, and the bacon rub.

We ordered the Imperial Japanese Chicken Wings, the Frenchified Burger, and an order of poutine. The star of the meal was the chicken wings with the wasabi ranch dipping sauce. The seasoned shoestring fries served alongside were also excellent. The burger was very good, but it was essentially meat, sauce, and cheese. I like a little freshness on my burgers, so I was missing some lettuce and tomato. Fortunately, I substituted a salad for the fries and ended up piling most of it onto the burger. Next time, I'll just ask for those toppings to be added. The poutine, however, didn't quite live up to the versions I've had elsewhere. I'm not sure if they used white cheddar curds, but they were almost completely melted instead of retaining that signature squeaky texture. The gravy was just okay, and I don't think shoestring fries are the best choice for poutine since they don't hold up as well under the toppings. Overall, I'd definitely come back--especially for the wings and another burger.

We had time since we were just running errands to have a quick bite so we walked in. We were greeted upon entering. It's a cute little space and I looked over and saw two men working very hard and quickly in the kitchen. The gentleman that took our order was friendly enough. I ordered a Korean cheese corn dog with ketchup, mustard and sugar, an order of dumplings, pickled radishes, a plain croffle, and two drinks. That ran us about $24 with tax, it was a very affordable meal. I didn't want to push it and over order. I did want to try their popcorn chicken and wings. I ordered based solely on my cravings today and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious. I loved being able to order pickled radishes, that was a refreshing addition to my meal. I can't wait to come back. My son enjoyed his croffle and asked if when I bring him to get his haircut if we could stop by more often. We are already looking forward to our next meal!

There was only one other couple dining in, and it was their first time as well. The owner was very pleasant, and it seems he and his brother also do the cooking, which gave the place a nice family-run feel. I ordered the 16-piece combo ($30) with two sides, which allowed me to try four different flavors. I went with two of their more popular options--Soy Garlic and Sweet & Spicy--along with K-Soy and Galbi. I really enjoyed the two sides; I chose the potato salad and mandu (dumplings). I definitely want to go back to try their popcorn chicken, popcorn tofu, and the croffle dessert. They also have a cute self-serve station with water, wipes, and utensils, which was a nice touch.

Going at lunch we ordered a couple of plates to test out the cuisine. First on deck were the Chicken Wings. A 5 piece order, they had this delicious sweet, thick, soy flavored sauce. OMG were they good. A touch sticky and not quite as crunchy as I would have preferred, they were indeed delicious. We also ordered the Bulgogi Combination Plate. SO MUCH FOOD. The salad was amazing, from the crunch of the cabbage to the flavors of the homemade dressing. "Kevin" came out and said that the dressing is homemade from a recipe passed down through his family. So good. The combination comes with Miso Soup. The soup was good, with bits of seaweed and a few chunks of tofu. Solid. The combination comes with a generous portion of Tempura, vegetables as well as two pieces of Tempura Shrimp. The Tempura Shimp was fantastic, with batter being light, flavorful, with a welcoming crunch to the taste. The Vegetable Tempura, while good, was not as satisfying as the Shrimp. It could be because the Tempura was sitting in the Bulgogi sauce, making the Tempura a bit soggy. No matter, still quite good. The Bulgogi was good, plenty of protein and LOTS of vegetables. I really appreciated the balance of meat and veggies. I would have liked a bit more flavor from my Bulgogi but this dish was totally fine and I would definitely order again. Kevin's Korean Kitchen is a small, family owned and operated business, situated in an older strip mall. There were plenty of seats/tables. Normally I would NEVER suggest peeking into the kitchen of your favorite Asian Restaurant. Just don't do it. Kevin's was oddly clean. I mean sparkling clean. I had to use the bathroom and the facilities were nothing short of sparkling. As I returned from the bathroom, I would see the kitchen, it was equally clean and organized. What a unexpected surprise. If you're looking for simple but good Korean, give Kevin's a try.
