Watching this mess of a casino restaurant. Ordered over 45 minutes ago, still no food, the staff is doing absolutely nothing. It's super loud from the club next door. We thought we'd stop in for a quick bite before a show. We ordered at the kiosk. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough staffing and got completely overwhelmed. One of the staff realized the mess they were in and had to yell out that they weren't accepting any other orders and he put a closed sign up at the entrance. People were cranky hangry and not happy. They were all asking for their money back. Looked like one server was going to walk out and quit. I felt for them. I also have to give it to them for dealing with a crisis and fixing it as best they could. Shame on them for not being prepared for the crowd that was expected knowing a concert was on the schedule. Very low quality food, nothing like in the pictures. Rice grains are in small pieces, same kind of rice we used to feed our dogs back in the day. We ordered fried rice, pad Thai and chow mein, they all had very little meat and almost no veggies. The only taste came from the different sauces they added to the rice or noodles. Last night after a concert at the Nugget Casino, I found a hidden treasure. I was recommended by a customer sitting in the restaurant to try the Pad Thai Bowl. The kitchen is open so you can watch how your food is prepared. I did order the Pad Thai and it was Fab!!!! Served with a wonderful presentation of chicken, noodles, sprouts, onions and spice. You can also have shrimp as well. A very healthy portion in one bowl. I took home my leftovers... Room Chef Trevor Gerber should be awarded for this Pad Thai bowl. I will positively bring my family back for this dish. Had very friendly service at the register! I had the drunken noodles and katsu. Katsu seemed burnt, still decent. Fries were in large portion size so yay. Lastly, the drunken noodles were my favorite, but they were covered in a lot of oil. If they had less oil it would've been much more enjoyable. Friend and I shared a noodle bowl with chicken and shrimp fried rice. Next time I'll stick with the noodle dish. The friend rice was bland and not much pea pods like the pic showed. The pea pods were chopped up pretty small. If don't mind eating in the casino this place is a good deal. Didn't even know about this walk up restaurant until our last day staying at the Nugget. It was 20 min before closing when we ordered a pizza and let me tell you..... One of the best New York pizzas I have ever had.. Crunchy crust, flavorful dough, zesty sauce with a stretchy cheese pull. A++ Staff was great, friendly and helpful. Straight up NYC pizza. Slices as big as your head. Baked to perfection. Comes to the table blazing hot. Yum. They get the crust so right. 2nd trip, pepperoni. Still great, think I prefer just the cheese. A bit too much excess grease. They also use an Italian seasoning/parm mix on the pepperoni crust. I popped in for a late lunch after purchasing tickets for an event. I ordered the barbecue chicken bowel. I expected the chicken to be marinated and grilled, instead it was chunks of boiled chicken and overcooked very little veggies over lots of rice. at least the rice was good. Terrible. I cannot begin to describe the disaster that was the island grill this weekend. There was a conference at the Nugget, so there was a huge crowd throughout the hotel. But it's a big place, I'd expect they could handle the crowd. BUT NO!!! They were totally inundated with orders and had no way of keeping up OR COMMUNICATING TO CUSTOMERS THE EXTENT OF THE WAIT FOR FOOD. Friday night, I ordered from the kiosk. I ordered potstickers and chicken low mein. I waited 1.5 hours with a crowd of other people to finally get my food. When I did, it was cold and tasteless. Unfortunately I made the mistake of going again. The crowd looked smaller so I tried to get a simple Cesar salad (no meat). I WAITED TWO HOURS!!! Two hours and finally I go up (with a group of others to complain, she turns to the fridge and grabs a salad out the fridge and hands it to me!!!! That's all that was required and it took two hours and being me raising a complaint to finally get a salad straight from the fridge. I would have demanded a refund but was already late for my next session and didn't have confidence in the ability of the staff to actually process the refund. Used to be a really good restaurant they've gone downhill I don't know maybe New Management the pizza is just okay used to be really good and it used to fit the box now they sell you a 20-in pizza but it's only 15 in if you measure it and it is also an 18-in box used to be a 20-in box as well they've shrunk The box and the pizza their menu States 20-in? I have also tried their pad Thai and fried rice it's okay used to be better again it is edible and I believe their prices have gone up. If your staying at the nugget and are looking for a quick bite to eat make sure you stop and visit sometimes there is a line during dinner time but before that there's never really a line but once you order they get you your food pretty fast. The hot dogs have a great flavor and the chili and the cheese just made it taste even better. The pizza panini was good just wish there was more pepperoni and less meatball. The shrimp was good and crunchy the kids loved it. Also the burger here is tasty and it's only 6 bucks. The fries were so fresh and went perfectly with all the food.
