    Mac and cheese chicken

I could see why people like this but I certainly didn't. Their Mac and cheese chicken looked like throw up and had way too much sauce.

Some of the best hot chicken in Reno! I have been coming to this location for about two years now and have always walked always saying it's some of the best fries in town. Very well seasoned and huge portions! The service is always very fast and on point with a special requests I make. This location is their newest one but it's always very clean inside and staff is super nice!!!

This is how Yelp Elite events help family owned businesses long term. We are hardly ever in the South of Reno, but I found myself scrolling thru Yelp looking for somewhere to eat. We are familiar with Crazy D's from the events at the original shop, and knew we couldn't go wrong. Just like everywhere the prices have gone up, but the quality and quantity are still great. 3 people around $60, but that was everything, and we all had leftovers. Congratulations on the new locations, including the onE near UNR.

Crazy hot? Yeah but don't be afraid because it's delicious. No lie. I was asked about changing my order no less than 6 times, and after watching the cook make my order with a shirt over his nose, I thought about it, but it proved to be perfect for me, just as I remembered before. Now I won't recommend crazy to anyone who says "oh I like spicy" because this is another level of heat and you need to be prepared. You'll smell it before you see it. You'll feel it before you eat it. And it'll linger with you for quite a while. But it's a pleasurable pain that builds on itself as you enjoy it, and when combined with their house sauce, it fades to the perfect background note of fire I love in spicy food. Smelling the aromas of the fiery seasoning on the ride home had me a bit teary eyed, both from the anticipation of the food I'd be enjoying and the super spice level I chose, and admittedly I was a bit nervous! That was amped up after licking my fingers from placing the giant tenders in the air fryer to warm up, being met by a wave of heat I wasn't quite ready for I guess. But after cutting the tenders up (recommended just because they're massive) I loved every bite of them! So if you think you can handle the heat then crazy it up, otherwise enjoy it how you like it!

It's good to try different chicken sandwich places to compare. Crazy D's has a thick, breaded chicken with a kick to it. We got the mild spice, and I can't imagine what the hot is like. The fries are good when fresh, and they give some dressing with it. Yum! It's a different kind of chicken sandwich, so you just have to give it a try!

Revised: Crazy D's sells fried chicken tender sandwiches. Giant spicy ones. I ordered mine mild but it was still too spicy for me. I guess I could order it without sauce next time and see if I like it. Also, I wish this chicken had a lighter batter. Usually I prefer less batter, but I'm sure others like the crunch. Just a personal preference. On a positive note, the fries were good, the cashier was friendly and the seating area was clean and comfortable.

Disappointing. Last two times I've had Crazy D has been a let down, especially paying nearly $19 for the meal. The portion size has went down, they should change the pricing to reflect it. Crazy Mac was watery and lacked flavor. As you can see in the picture, the plate wasn't even covered. Both times the food was cold, like the Mac and cheese was in the fridge and scooped out. Big let down from a good spot. Don't know if they changed ownership or management, but quality needs to improve.

Love love love their chicken. Nicely seasoned and the spice is on point. I always get combo #2 medium for $15.95+tax. It's honestly a good price since it's 2 sandwiches and some fries. My husband and I always share. Their comeback sauce is so delicous, that I definitely have to order an extra. Their employees are welcoming and attend to you quickly. It's a small restaurant but it's still a good place to take a group of 6 people. I definitely recommend this local hot chicken spot!

My husband went with the bison, barbecue burger, and a side of fries, and I had the original burger with my choice of cheeses. Everything was prepared and served hot and fresh! We were offered ranch to go with our fries. I had a house made thousands island type sauce (but way better) to go on my cheeseburger. It was delicious. I asked one of the employees (Sarah) what was in it. She was very pleasant to talk to and very knowledgeable about all of their house made sauces. I told her that I loved the garlic in the Thousands island style sauce so she gave me a sample of their garlic aioli sauce! If you are a garlicholic like me, this is a must try!! Chefs kiss, for sure! I cannot recommend this location enough! When in Reno, it's a must try! If you go, tell Sarah her perimenopause, Indiana, garlic loving friend said hello!

I liked the avocado spread as opposed to slices so much easier to eat. I would have liked the toast a little more toasted but the bread, avocado, egg and some cholula and it was tasty. I had a bite of hubbys sandwich. His sourdough bread was delicious, so was the ham and the cheese was the perfect melt. Nice place, we were in a side room with only about 5 or 6 tables. We had three other servers stop to ask if we needed anything or wanted to give our order, and once we made up our mind the waiter who helped us did a fantastic job. No pen or notepad, he remembered our order with full detail and not one mess up. As we finished out appetizer, sides, and meal he continued to come by and take our plates, refill our water and my coffee. He was on point. Service was friendly no complaints there Overall food was not very flavorful.. too many flavor combinations trying to be fancy and for the prices of each dish I would not recommend this place. I saw it was on the yelp top 100 at one point..so I had wanted to check it out.. but it was very disappointing. A glass bottle of very warm water with the 2 smallest glasses with ice was brought to the table first. Ice is nice especially when its 100 degrees outside. But the glass was like a shot glass and with the water being so warm by the time we ordered our food all of the ice was melted which made that 1st glass of water cold which was a couple of gulp but then you're left with warm water. Food presentation was very beautiful. Taste of food wasn't anything you'd come back for. We ordered the mushroom raviolis.i expected a white sauce as it said creme sauce but it was a red sauce. It came with crispy potatoes which were very thinly sliced and fried potatoes and a citrus salad which was arugula and a very tasty dressing. There was maybe 5 raviolis not great..the red sauce is all you can taste some loose mushrooms around the raviolis in the sauce. The fried potatoes great in presentation ok in taste but I wish there was more potato in each bite. The arugula and dressing were the best thing I ate out of 4 dishes I tried. We also had the potato taquitos which I was looking forward to but it was very dense and the potato tasted like how a bad potato smells. Other than that it was very very bland. Nice crisp on the taquito. The gnocchi pasta dish was also no flavor. The sausage in it was good. 2nd favorite item was the slice of bread toasted on both sides. The bread was almost as big as the food on the plate. The 4th dish was the potstickers which also were just ok.
