Used to love this outfit and I keep being disappointed. Here's why. (Not all of my bad experiences happened at Woodbury--some are by phone.) ATM outside the bank often spits out checks I'm trying to deposit. When I request help from the ATM, nobody is available. Their AI Sky on the phone is maddening. I want a person. Although she says she can do almost anything I need, she cannot. But it's hard to get past her. Why would a bank want to frustrate customers that way. Tried to order single checks (without the carbon duplicates). HAH! I was told by an actual human that nobody does that but if I wanted to it would cost a lot of money. My joint tenant on my checking account passed away and Wings harassed and insulted me (just what you want when someone dies) about getting him off my account. Some of their personal bankers have the brains of rocks. Can't do basic things. No interpersonal skills. They just have no skills or training. One teller sat in front of me reading the entire coputer file on me when I tried to make a deposit and withdrawal. I asked him what he was reading and he said he couldn't tell me but it was all about me. Wow. He seemed quite entertained by whatever this bank says about me in its computer. There is usually a LONG LONG wait to meet with a personal banker, which I wouldn't do except that's the only choice for some services. I've had some good experiences with their long-time employees, and a few outstanding experiences. But more recently, Wings is just a mess. read more

Trash Management, Trash Manager. Wings restricted me from using my own money. Wings manager in Woodbury told me she increased the daily limit spending but lied! Do not bank here. This bank was legit when they were small 10 years ago but that changed when they wanted to expand. They want to deceive their members by having the Credit Union name but their operation is set up like corporate banks. Stay Far AWAY!!!!! read more

I have had an account with wings for many many years. Their customer service is terrible if you go into the bank to do anything except make a deposit or a withdrawal they tell you you have to make an appointment. What kind of nonsense is that? I belong to this credit union and take time off of work to handle business and they tell me that I an appointment. call and make an appointment and then the appointment isn't until the next day. Their customer service is disgusting. read more

Don't ever count on using their ATM. Never works. Not to mention the other drive thru lanes and debit card machine are ALWAYS broken. Not sure what services they offer that are actually working. read more

Stopped in yesterday and opened an account in about 10 minutes. Everyone from the front desk lady who greeted me, to Leah, (who opened the account) were super friendly, and efficient (waited less than a minute before I was helped). All my questions were easily answered, and I was in and out in record time. Also, a lot of good information was relayed, including the high availability of no fee Wings ATM's around the country, (including being iin Kwik Trip's, Target's, and other stores I forget,) which was a nice surprise. All ready a breath of fresh air compared to all other banks, particularly when it comes to friendly service. When the terms are similar to banks, but the service is actually pleasant, it's an easy decision to choose where to do most banking now. read more

I still stand by my original rating. They have hidden terms and still don't know how to fix certain things. While their rates are better and they have overdraft protection, it doesn't excuse that their employees are not knowledgeable of certain terms and rules. Last year I had to pay out of my accounts due to a mistake regarding transactions. Before paying out, I asked whether this type of mistake was covered under their terms and handbooks. The two employees I talked to couldn't tell me. Beware of the automatic bill payer unless you choose to pay your bill three different times a month. I signed up for it but I didn't know it would keep charging the fee even if it wasn't used. I've been charged for over a year. Although it's in the terms, read them carefully. You won't be reimbursed and even if you cancel on your end, you'll still be charged until you physically go into the bank to ask the employees to stop if for you. It's very inconvenient. **new update**. I was just there again today and wanted to get rid of a jar full of coins with their coin machine. It was full and when I asked when I could come back and use it, the staff didn't have a day or time I could come back and use it. When it's full, it needs Loomis to come empty it. And apparently they don't know the schedule. So it wasn't helpful at all. I'll now be using a Coinstar machine in the future. read more

As a financial institution catering to airport workers, airline employees and frequent airport users, they have remarkably few services for those populations. There is no foreign exchange and hours are extremely limited at MSP. Over the years they have closed a number of airport branches around the country. Local branch offices are hit and miss affairs. Workers are overwhelmingly friendly but often not particularly competent. read more

This is probably the best bank I've had accounts with. I joined when my frustration level finally maxed out with a previous nationwide bank. After 9 years as a member, I'm still glad I switched. read more
