Not terribly impressed with anything here. Brought the kiddo in for lunch on the weekend and the bar had people in it but the seating side didn't. I think we were the only ones the whole time we were here. I would've gone to the bar side but there was a big sign that said no under 21 allowed. Wouldn't have been so bad except I finally had to go find someone who worked here to come serve us. It was seat yourself, so of course we did. And waited. The first impression was that the hand sanitizer actually had something in it, which was nice. Then on the way to our table the floor was sticky which was not nice. I ordered 7 boneless wings with BBQ sauce as I can't handle spicy food. For a side I ordered the tots with queso cheese. Also got the strawberry lemonade after the waitress suggested it instead of normal lemonade. My party of two also shared fried green beans. The green bean fries were cooked well, but they are a little strange. They didn't seem too greasy, so guess they are probably an acquired taste. Our food arrived in a decent amount of time, but the place got really busy right when we got our food and it took a while to get our silverware. I honestly think our waitress seemed a little overworked, so I don't blame her. The BBQ sauce was really hot for my tastes. It was really low on their heat scale but it was definitely too much for me. It would be nice if they had a sweet BBQ or something. After tip, the meal was almost $60 after tip which seemed a bit much for two meals. Overall, I think we may come back again eventually. Service was good as well (although it was sometimes difficult to get a server's attention), and the beer selection had a lot of tasty choices. I also enjoyed the green bean fries, which were an interesting spin on the "fries" theme. Prices weren't awful, but not great. Listen, I'm always going to try to be fair in my reviews and not just throw out recommendations based on my own personal preferences. The wings are not my favorite. I know that may sound weird for a place called "Wings Etc" but I like everything else that I've tried from the menu. Now, that's not saying that the wings are bad.... they're not. I just prefer my wings naked and with a slightly different kind of sauce. That said, the wings are decent. A bit pricey, but not totally out of line. I've tried a few different sauces (they offer MANY different options) and I like the 'tweener' sauce best. The fried pickles (chips, not spears) are fantastic! I've mentioned in a previous review that I'm a bit obsessed with fried pickles. These are really good. I've had them with Southwestern Ranch and Avocado Ranch. It's a matter of taste. The pickles themselves are really good. Rib tips are really good. I mean... REALLY good. I enjoy chewing on them. This is maybe my favorite menu item (behind the pickle chips.) I've also had a few different hamburgers, and I've been impressed. The bar is decent. I've gone in to have a drink or two while I'm waiting on food, and I've been satisfied. There are usually some regulars at the bar, and they may give you the eye for intruding, but it's not too bad. The bartenders know what they're doing and can make a decent drink. Overall good place. The wings aren't my very favorite, but they aren't bad, and this is based on my preference for wings. The other menu offerings are good, and enough for me to recommend this restaurant. read more

This brand-new restaurant has opened on the southside of Lafayette, and I'm glad it's there. We need this kind of sit-down, smoke-free restaurant on the south end. I have visited Wings Etc in other cities. You might think it's a B-Dub's knock off, but it's not. The menu includes not only wings, but burgers, wraps, salads, subs, sandwiches, ribs, and seafood. At this location, I stopped in for carry-out. I'll update my review once I have sampled the sit-down service. Because this is a new place it's a clean as a whistle. The bar area is completely separate from the dining room, with it's own entrance off of the lobby, so this really is a family friendly place. The staff that I interacted with during my carry-out experience were friendly and helpful. You do need to go into the bar to pick up carry-out, so don't send your 16 year old to pick up. I ordered the boneless chicken wings, which are really just large, breaded chicken nuggets with sauce poured on them. They were cooked correctly and tender. I opted for the BBQ sauce on the mild end, but it still had a tang to it. Again, I'm glad this opened on the south side and I'll be intentional in including it in my dining excursions. read more

This location lets you seat yourself. The waitress got our drink orders after a couple minutes and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. We got the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer (delicious!). I ordered 10 traditional jumbo wings with spicy jerk and tweener sauces. The sauces are great but the wings just taste like bar wings and weren't really seasoned. I also had curly fries, which would've been good with just ketchup, but I wanted nacho cheese. I will give the good and what needs improving in this review. First the good: their food is great. I love the Wall sauce as I'm someone into spicy food. I also love their jalapeño cheese bites w ranch dressing. Don't ever get rid of those. And now what needs improved: the past two times my family and I have gone there to eat, it takes 8-10 minutes to get someone around to take our order. Neither time they were busy. One time the girl asked if we had been helped... yet she was the only one working. Another time after ordering online, I stood in the dining room for several minutes waiting on staff to show up. Finally someone came by and I stated that I placed an online order. I had my toddler child with me and the girl told me that "online pickups are through the bar." I motioned to the minor, toddler child I was holding and she says, "oh don't worry about that, you'll be fine." As this was happening, another male employee who looked like a cook comes by, overhearing and asks my name. He goes and gets my food and plops the bag onto a table from probably a foot in the air. He rung me up like I was really getting in the middle of his day. A bad attitude to say the least. It would also be nice if management made their employees look more clean cut and hygienic. The whole dirty uniform and beard look doesn't instill confidence in my dining experience. And as the photo shows, maybe they could completely cover my chicken with sauce. First of all, I just want to put it on the table. The wings are, in the words of my younger, douche"y" brother, "fire." But he doesn't come here. So don't worry about douches. My wife and I tried 4 flavors. All were delicious. Not sure if we were lucky or that all the flavors are the "troof." Some people love the wings here, but after visiting a couple of times, I really would rather drive the extra 15 minutes to go to Buffalo Wild Wings. Their mild sauce is a butter sauce. The medium sauce is also mostly butter. My friends tried several different sauces, and none of them commented about any being particularly tasty. I ordered medium boneless wings and when they got to the table, I genuinely thought they had forgotten to put sauce on them. The curly fries with cheese sauce were great though. Beer prices are okay, but they also don't have as big of a selection as you can find at other places around town. TVs are all around, but no really big screens if you are looking for a place to go watch the game. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. No complaints there! My son ordered a well done burger. It came out medium. They apologized and took it back along with the side of fries. About 12 minutes later another burger comes out with no fries. My child cut into the burger and it was medium again. Asked for the manager who stated" I sat and watched my cook make the burger for 15 minutes and I'm sorry" then continued to make excuses that when kids stopped going to Purdue because of corona, they have no good staff. This restaurant has gone thru some ups and some downs in all aspects since opening on the South side of Lafayette. I still find the boneless wings better than B-Dubs and my wife still enjoys the traditional wings more as well. My problem is with the service. On my latest visit, ordering take-out, the bar area where you pick up the food was empty. One employee clearly saw that I was waiting for something, yet chose to continue her conversation with another employee. The bartender was no where to be found for a good couple of minutes. This is one of the before mentioned "downs" i was talking about. The two points that angered me the most and could very well be a deal breaker on whether I visit this store again is one, my large order was crammed into one bag, making it difficult to carry without spillage, and two, my order was missing an order of curly fries. Missing food from an order is something I expect from a fast food drive-thru, but not from this type of establishment. Again, this restaurant has been more good than bad but has started to fall in quality over the last couple of months. We went to this Wings because its close to our house. We walked in to the dining area and waited to be seated. No one came. After a considerable amount of time, we finally went into the bar. Hoping to get some service. Sat ourselves. A man came out from the back, looked at us and walked back to the back. Two waitresses walked by the back door behind the bar, looked at us, then continued to walk away. This has happened to us several times at this location. Never had a problem at the Meijer location. Its a pity because Wings Ect is one of my favorite restaurants. I've been eating there since they first opened in South Bend. I will not be going back to this location any more. I have been to this restaurant twice lately and will not be back. Last night i ordered fish and chips and they brought fish sandwich and the waitress tried to tell me they dont have fish and chip. fish was greasy and tasteless. i sent it back and waitress said the manager would come to the table. The only thing that gives it this rating is the boneless wings that are good but that is about all I can say about it that is good. I have been there twice and the waitress is about as friendly as a rattle snake:( For the prices that I paid I would have thought they could have afforded real plates but that was too much to ask. I placed an online order tonight for my wife, my daughter, and I. I was quoted a pickup time of 5:36pm in my email. I showed up exactly at 5:36pm (with the intention I might have to wait a few minutes due to being somewhat close to dinner time, possible staffing issues, COVID-related issues, etc). They had 1 waitress/server on the restaurant side and 3 on the bar side. I did not receive my food until 6pm. I get home and lone behold, I'm missing a kids meal for my daughter. They managed to give me the drink for it but not the food. I call the restaurant (no answer, went to voicemail). Call again, get transferred to a manager, I think his name was Nathan? I informed Nathan I ordered 4 bone-in wings and curly fries for my daughter and they weren't in my bag. He says, "okay, I'll have it ready". I show up, and they are even busier now than before, still 1 server/waitress on the restaurant side and 3 on the bar side. Bar side was not busy at all, maybe 3-4 tables out of the 15 they have. I go to the bar side to inquire about my missing food and was handed a bag from who I assume was Nathan. No apology, no words were spoken from this man, so I took my food and proceed to exit. Stopped 5 feet after receiving my food, and had a hunch. Yup, they gave me 4 boneless wings instead of bone-in. To have an itemized list/order of food and to completely omit 1 meal for an order should be unacceptable. To not apologize or even offer to comp a missing meal could've saved future business from me. There were 3 parties still waiting to be seated as I left and encouraged them to leave while they can and avoid the clown show. They all left. The place was dead first of all on a Sunday at 6. Probably should have been the first sign not going be great experience. The food took forever to come out. There were five of us. I ordered wings all flats and it was not all flats. My husband orders "grilled" chicken Caesar salad which came with crispy chicken and not grilled as the menu describes. The waitress said that is always how it comes out with crispy chicken. Humm the menu clearly states grilled. So had to wait for another salad. Said would take 7 minutes.
