I love coming here and this is my first visit in 2025 since probably 2022. I love that there are so many consistent aspects of their menu as well as their food. It is great to see that they've maintained the decor as well. On this particular evening, no weights and it wasn't crowded and also our waiter happen to be fairly new and still learning. While service was good and I'm sure he made his best effort. I will say the food is so great and it's nice to see prices did not change exorbitantly high. read more

We had the bear fries app, smoked wings (best wings we've had in a long time!), pepperoni & sausage flat bread & breaded haddock entree with brussles - all very good! Food was amazing. It was one of the best burgers Ive had in a while. The chicken seemed good as well from what I heard. Service was okay - it was a Friday night, so service was slow. I tried to order an espresso martini, but was informed they were out. I asked which ingredient they were out of so I could just switch out the ingredient that was sold out for a different one. The waiter said there was no way to tell. Then I asked for a hard cider and was informed they had none. Finally, I was able to order a strawberry lemon shake up.....they forgot the strawberry. Didn't try the beer, but the food was great. Very cool place, huge old school booths covered with funky green vinyl like that chair at your great grandma's place. Food was fantastic, service was awesome. We had the smoked wings and smoked Caprese app. Both were great. I had the chef salad, it was very fresh and delicious. And we also had a breaded tenderloin which my daughter said was fantastic. Will definitely come back and try the beer. read more

I went here with my family to celebrate our granddaughter's graduation. We sat outside and it was very pleasant. I ordered the smoked wings and was pleasantly surprised by how many came in the order. They were a good size and very tasty. I will be ordering them again!! read more

Went there for lunch recently with some people from work. I had the smoked sausage sandwich with fries. Which was recommended by the waitress. The smoked sausage was kind of mushy and didn't have much flavor. The fries were running the meal boring fries nothing special nothing bad. We shared appetizers and I tasted their barbecue dusted wings, which were pretty good, the candied pork belly, which was awesome and the bear fries which is a take on poutine we got it with the smoked pork or the pulled pork. It was OK kind of soggy. I wasn't impressed with the pork. Some people did have pizzas and they look really good. I might be back to try the pizza read more

Went in to see if we could get seated. Guy with pony tail tells my friend yes we can seat your party. I get out the car come in he takes us outside to sit us at an old dirty broken picnic table. I said no way! He said I don't think we have room inside. Many tables inside available I spotted at least 9 at a glance. So rude. I bet people walking in after us got an inside table. Just rude! We went here last night, which is a Saturday night around 8:30-8:45. There was 3 of us & we wanted to watch a college football game. When we got there we were surprised how dead it was for a Saturday night,but found out they don't value their customers that are there, but the ones that might come! There are 5 TVs in the establishment, well, that work. The tv in the back bar didn't work. We asked if we'd be able to watch a game on one of the TVs. We seen no one was watching the tv in the dining room. The hostess went to the bar & asked if people were watching what was on the tvs in the bar and was told yes. No one was watching the dining room tv, which can only be seen by one table, but the hostess (10/25/25) refused to sit us at the table that had the tv because it was a table that sat up to 8 people & there was only 3 of us. Needless to say the restaurant was 75-80% empty. If there were only 3 empty tables instead of only 3 full table I could understand. She asked if we still wanted a table!?! I don't understand why she would rather make nothing than the $200 plus we would have spent, I guess that's why she's the hostess & doesn't own the establishment. We won't be going back there with the many places to eat & drink in the area. We found another place that was happy to have our business! read more

This place is such an awesome local spot for burgers and elevated bar food (I guess that's the way I'd describe it?) the burnsworth burger is probably my favorite burger in town. I've never not drooled over it when it's dropped off at the table. It's a burger that will clear your senses for sure, pair it with some hell dusted fries, a side of ranch and a craft beer they brew in the room in the back, and you're gonna be in burger heaven. This is one of the only places I will ALWAYS get an appetizer. That caprese is absolutely outta this world with their homemade pizza bread or whatever comes along with it. That and the freshest juiciest tomatoes and ninja turtle level gooey cheese, COME ON. Or the candied pork belly. Yeah I'll get two apps on certain days for sure. They also have a chef who has some pretty awesome creations. There's not many I wouldn't try from this guy and more times than not I'm left bummed if I don't get in there in time to snag a dish. (This guy sells out) They very often support local causes, some of those have been so impactful and meaningful. They host different events, and supported other local businesses with art fairs, supporting local bakers. Etc. everything about this place will have you leaving completely satisfied. read more

Stopped in for the first time yesterday for dinner. The caprese itself was pretty good and the bread was DELICIOUS! We shared the smokies sampler for dinner which was okay. It is A LOT of food but the meat was all pretty dry, however it was tasty. We will probably try something else on the menu next time instead. We went on a Saturday mid afternoon and were seated quickly and served within a half hour. Service was fine. I did have higher expectations for the food. We ordered two different kinds of pizza and the crust along the outside was really good, but unfortunately there was so much sauce that it drowned the rest and made it pretty soggy. This was the case for both pizzas. That much sauce also made it hard to taste the other toppings and caused it all to slide off anyway. I didn't take home the leftovers, which is saying something because I never waste pizza. I also ordered the Mac n cheese with brisket. It was decent, but the brisket was dry. Honestly, the best thing I ate was the green beans, which were delicious, and the fries were pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again, but I'd be willing to try a different dish if I ended up there again. read more

With that said, today's weekend special of Smoked Beef Rib with a coffee rub (for that black color) was off-the-charts! Paired with roasted brussel sprouts and the best IIPA in central Indiana (Heartbreaker). This beef rib could easily be called Brisket on a Bone. Great vibes and great food & beer at Teays. Do you have kids?! Encourage them to get the kid's pizza and fries. The kids pizza is bigger than the regular menu pizza and tastes delicious. I always feel so torn between the ultimate beer burger, the smokehouse bbq pizza with brisket, or the short faced bear fries (poutine). Everything I've tried, I've enjoyed. The beer list changes seasonally and keeps growing. They had some sour beers this summer, which was exciting for me! They also have some delicious cocktails, but they can be a little pricey ($8-11). Patio option outside with live music on the weekends and a great, modern type feel in the inside. One of my Lafayette favorites! read more

The food is delicious, and the menu has variety, which I appreciate. I've had lunch there twice and dinner twice and the wait staff have each been friendly and accommodating. Whether you are on the patio or inside, the noise level is disruptive. When it's a weeknight, you can manage it somewhat, but on a busy weekend night, you'll be asking your friends to repeat themselves all the time. I don't know if the owner has tried to address this issue, but s/he needs to find a way to disperse the noise. We won't return for dinner in quite a while because of the noise___and I like Teays food! read more

There were 7 of us and overall the food was okay. First time visit for all of us. Orange chicken, pulled pork, tenderloin, pizza, Hunters salad were served. The two tenderloins ordered were next to burned. They sent them back to get a new meal. The second ones were just as dark. One was not eaten. I noticed no one ate their fries or chips with the orange chicken. That was probably personal preference. My salad was awesome. Highly recommended. My husband ate his tenderloin but he was hungry. The other diner did not eat hers but did get credit. All in all, we (2) may go back again but won't order the tenderloin. That is one menu item that must be of high standard at any restaurant. We are Hoosiers. We talk about which restaurant has the best tenderloin. Their tenderloin based on our experience will not make the top ten. Service was very good. read more

Group of 7 last night. We ordered salmon, pork chop, mac n cheese with brisket, 2 brisket sandwiches, chicken BLT, and a pork tenderloin. Overall we enjoyed the food and sides. Green beans and fries were just okay, but the Brussels were great. The fried tenderloin was terribly overcooked, very dark brown in color, almost burned. Our diner acknowledged she should send it back but didn't. All food was served lukewarm. Why? Because it sat and sat under the warmer in clear view of us because our server was nowhere to be found. So frustrating! He brought our bill while we were only halfway through the meal, and never asked if we wanted desert. We went elsewhere for dessert. My daughters and I ate here for the first time tonight and were so glad that we did! First, out waitress, Alma, (amazing woman!) explained the menu and made each dish sound tempting! (Probably why we ordered so much!) We tried the beet salad, veggie artisan pizza, and a fabulous smoked platter. I have been wanting to try this spot since it opened a couple years ago! I had heard nothing but amazing things about it! The outdoor dining area looks very laid back (we sat inside because it's a bit chilly this time of year). Parking isn't a problem either! Inside it is sooo spacious and has somewhat of a vintage feel. Lots of booths and lots of tables so we haven't had an issue being seated. A wide variety of beers on tab and other liquor available. Now for the food. I have found my dish and I'm sticking to it LOL the Veggie Pizza is to die for! It is cooked in a pizza oven and it gets a bit of that charred flavor to it!! Just soo good! It is also like $11 and I have not been able to finish it by myself (even though I want to!) I feel no shame in saying that I went twice in one week. Our first trip was a massive success, all 5 of us enjoyed the casual city atmosphere, friendly staff tho a bit slow to keep on it for ordering food, a fantastic menu with plenty to entice all types, and fresh brews that remind us all why "on tap" is an ideal. We sampled appetizers, burgers, and poutine. All well made, smart ingredients, and tasty with decent value - but poutine was misleading, more like loaded fries! Poutine should be a huge mess in a bowl not a little tray of basic stuff.
