Had pizza from here for my neighbors nephew. Also had some wings. Not impressed with the wings but the pizza was good.

Good food & service. Wings recently changed and are prob the best around the Groton area right now! Very relaxed seating and atmosphere.

Came in today to get a Togo order cause I'm visiting from out of town. I got a meat lovers Stromboli and 22 wings half Buffalo hot and half I asked for the girl at the register for a recommendation, she recommended the habanero mango dry rub and I usually don't like that flavor at other places but one of the chiefs asked if I'd like to try it and I did and it was so good so I ordered that. the Stromboli was honestly probably one of the best I've ever had. Just enjoyed a most delicious meatball grinder from W&P that was second to NONE. The vegetables were super fresh and meatballs were delicious. Their buffalo chicken strips were great. We opted for medium and enjoyed the flavor with not too much heat. My wife says they are perfect and they serve them in a plastic container so you can turn them upside down and get a fresh basting of their saucy goodness on the strips. Well played! Their buffalo chicken pizza is the best that I have had anywhere and that's from all over the United States. The sauce, the chicken, the crust - there's not a thing I would change about it Their staff served up our order with a smile and were very courteous over the phone. This place is great! So far I've tried 2 types of calzones and wings. The calzones are amazing and packed with a lot of ricotta cheese. The crust is very good and buttery, cooked to perfection. I tried the wing sampler and I loved that you could order just drumsticks or flats, I also love that it came with celery and carrots! My favorite flavor of the 5 I tried was the garlic Parmesan. I order from this place hoping that they will get it right like the first few times I ordered the taco pizza. I never complain but this time im putting it all out there. I like supporting local businesses and gave this place way too many shots to just be dismissed when i finally do bring back the pizza that my husband broke his tooth on from being way over cooked. Wings and pies in Groton is definitely not about keeping customers happy, they all gang up on you and tell you everything is totally normal. Is it normal to have to go to the dentist after eating a pizza that was like card board? They lost a customer that always tips no matter if the order is correct or not. Placed a go order, got there 10 minutes after the time I asked for. Got home and tasted my chicken fingers which weren't hot and were very dry. Called back to let them know and girl immediately said if I got there on time (10 minutes ) they would have been hot and not dry. My restaurant experience says they were sitting under a heat lamp for at least a hour. My biggest problem here is she didn't even check with kitchen and immediately told me " first of all we get compliments on our chicken fingers ", no sorry at all...it's my fault. . In town visiting my son and he wanted to Wings'n'Pies. He'd had it delivered before. We thought we'd be able to have a sit-down family dinner, but they're still not doing dine-in. Got the 24" cheese, 25 wing (lemon pepper), and 2 liter special. I complained the whole time because I kept telling my boys it was too much food. Memory don't fail me now. The last time I visited this area was in 2003 for training and I don't remember anything about this place at all. The restaurant is right across the main base gate and I wanna say this use to be a bar (place sailor and bar joke here) but not entirely sure. However now I'll remember this place for its food. Being in the military, means getting paid the 1st and 15th of the month. It was a few days before payday so the place was deserted of sailors. But I'm sure on payday this place gets swamped if the keep serving the same quality of food they served us. Now I don't expect the finest seafood to come out of here or even mouthwatering steaks but I do expect a stick to your ribs heavy meal. And that's what I got with my entree. I ordered a large steak and cheese sub with everything but the banana peppers. When my sandwich first came out, I was upset. Who in the military world eats a veggie sandwich? You read my BK review on the impossible burger right? That's what it looked like to me but when I picked it up I was happy. The sub was packed with meat on the bottom. And the bread was toasted to perfection so it cradled the steak nicely. And it all got held together from the melted cheese. I also got a side order of curly fries. Our server forgot I ordered them but promptly brought a hot order when he realized his mistake. In fact, he apologized and took them off the bill. I know it wasn't on purpose so I just padded the tip. The fries could use some help. It's not like Jack in the Box (I know you're read) where you expect them covered with seasoned salt. Overall four stars. The food is hearty and good prices for the not so rich sailor. Parking is ample and inside seating is plentiful. The service was the bomb. Thanks buddy. I am a usually very happy customer with them lately. They have been messing things up and their service has not been great not too long ago I ordered a veggie grinder by accident and I called to fix it when the lady said 45 minutes until the delivery driver will be here. I called immediately to try to fix it where I'm guessing the manager said that they can send both of them, but I wouldn't be charged for both of them even though I never received my food yet recently I placed my usual order and I wanted two of what I ordered they only sent one one of my items and didn't charge me for the other one. I called back to place another order for the correct item and they charged me four dollars over the regular price because of their mistake so now I definitely do not recommend going here because they do not take accountability for their employee mistakes. Even the driver said that the people who answer the calls do not listen thoroughly. I think that they need to improve their service to their customers, they need to improve their receptionist whoever is answering calls because this is very very upsetting. I got charged $28 for two orders of fries and one soda that is unacceptable and I will not be ordering back again. read more

While I'm grateful that this place delivers during COVID, I'm not grateful for the Hershey squirts it gave me. My wife took a single bite of meat lovers, and she did not go in for a second one. According to her, this pizza is diarrhea on a plate. I, however, was starving like crazy, so I scarfed down two slices of floppy, lukewarm pizza, covered in meat that I'm pretty sure was supplied by Purina. But that wasn't the end of my experience. It was merely the beginning. My stomach started bloating and churning like a pufferfish making butter. Thus, I went to let out a fart. I didn't fart. I sharted. That pizza from earlier turned into liquid feces, and much like my Instagram followers, that poo wanted to get into my panties! And it did, and on the bed too. If I wanted to poop myself silly, I'd take a damn laxative, not eat pizza. This ghastly food was heinous in my anus. I wish we could get a refund on that meal, along with ten more bucks to cover laundromat fees. So congratulations, Wings n' Pies, you put two grown-ass women in diapers. read more

Wings 'N' Pies is a local chain, with a handful of locations in the area. This location in Groton recently opened as of 2018. They are known for having over 30 flavors of wings and tgey make them well. When I walked in I was handed a thin complimentary slice of cheese Pizza which was hot, melty, and delicious. I asked about lunch specials and was told I could get a soda, half a grinder(sub), and chips for $6. I ordered a 5 piece hot honey wing to go with my meal. When the food arrived it was delicious and very flavorful. I could tell it was not frozen eggplant, it was fresh homemade. The wings were crispy and well sauced. But when I got the bill I paid the full menu price for the eggplant Parmesan half grinder, the soda, and a side of blue cheese for the wings which I thought was included. It was my fault for not realizing the menu says blue cheese and celery is 50 cents extra. I was given a 10% military discount, so I'm not too worried about the fact that I was charged for each item individually. I enjoyed the meal, and I would definitely return. It's funny cause the place is called Wings 'N' Pies but I rarely ever order the wings or pie. For me, I absolutely LOVE their burgers and grinders. The burgers are juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Once you take a bite, it's hard not to take another one! The fries are awesome too. Crispy and satisfying with every bite. The variety of grinders are each different and unique. I would definitely recommend the buffalo chicken wrap. It's out of this world! Not is the food great, but the staff are very friendly and helpful! Each time I made an order for delivery, the employees on the other end always had a gleeful and cheery attitude.
