    Undercooked sausage and doughy crust
    Janine R.

This was the first time I have ever ordered from here. I ordered the meat lovers pizza. I've never been here before so this was our first time at recovery room pizza. The pizza came out relatively fast, which would explain why it was very undercooked. The crust was very doughy- Even the Italian sausage topping looked raw. Not good. Probably will never visit this establishment again. I called right away, they offered a replacement but I didn't want to chance it.

We were a party of 8 I ordered a sausage pizza , the group had various items, chicken tenders, spaghetti, wings etc. Everything came out in a timely manner the food was hot and fresh . The drinks and atmosphere a vibe. Our waitress was cool, patient and attentive.

Came here for dinner on a Friday evening. Parking was easy in the back. We were able to get seated immediately. Inside is quaint. The menu has a variety of pizzas and dishes and appetizers. I like how the menu was arranged by white and red pizzas. We ordered the house salad because my friend said great things about it. It was tasty and a pretty good size. We then tried the Casey's hot oil pizza and liked it. It wasn't very spicy. The pizzas were a good size and we were able to bring leftovers home. The whole meal was a great deals with great prices! Overall very enjoyable!

    Asian Chicken Dumpling

I got the steamed Asian Chicken Dumplings, Olive Bread, and the Sausage pizza, and honestly the olive bread was pretty much the highlight of all three, and even then it was very salty. The olive bread came with a very nice pesto, Parmesan topping, which made for a delicious combo. The olives however, were too salty for me (personal taste). The sausage pizza that came out had a very homemade aesthetic and taste to it, like you could not go to dominoes for this pizza. We added jalepenos to it, however the jalepenos were very salty, rather than spicy. And the worst dish I've had in connecticut to this date was here, the Asian Dumplings. There is a saying, "jack of all trades, master of none" that I feel applies here, it's as if the chef costumed this dish in so many different cultural styles (east Asian, European, American) it ends up having an identity crisis, canceling itself out into low-light mediocrity out of the sheer pressure. In almost half the ingredients (corn, lemongrass) did not complement the meat in the dumpling at all, and stuck out like sore thumbs, and for some reason had a lettuce/kale bed (?), and the taste was just overall bland and bitter, and disappointing with no redeeming quality about them besides the aesthetic, all despite how much effort looked like went into the dish. The service was very polite, and we got our food within 15 minutes. The ambiance was noisy, and the music was very quiet, much on par for romantic dining scenes.

Chicken Parmigiana & Recovery Room Signature Tortellini

Visited Connecticut for the month and decided to try this place out. It's a smaller establishment with a good old time feel. We ordered aracinis, chicken parm and the tortellini. The warm bread they serve was great. The Arancinis reminded me of the ones I ate in Rome which were incredible. My fiancée liked the chicken parm. I didn't really like the tortellini but I think it's more of a personal preference (if you like tortellini, I think you'd love it). The service was top notch as well. I came back a second time to try their pizza and it was great. The crust and cheese was what I expected from a northeastern pizza.

I Put an online order in here for lunch. Food was delicious and made fast. I ordered the buffalo wrap which is my go to when I visit this restaurant during lunch hours. ( buffalo wrap only sold during lunch hours) my partner ordered the chicken tender meal he said it was good but could have used more fries. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly.

We were told to come her to try "the best buffalo chicken pizza". We did. We ordered the 'Kris Dunn' and was not impressed. The chicken was breaded nicely however it lacked that authentic "buffalo chicken taste". The bacon had a nice smokey flavor but it was way too powerful for the pizza. The pizza tasted like we were eating a bacon pizza with hot sauce on it. I like bacon, but it was not enjoyable on this pizza, it was way too over powering and took away from the rest of the flavor of the pizza. We also had the Recovery Room Signature Tortellini with creamy alfredo pesto sauce. We enjoyed this more. The alfredo pasta sauce was unique. They had 3 different dining rooms (one with a bar) from when they must've extended the establishment. Seating was a tight squeeze. I believe they do accept reservations.

This is thin crust, gourmet pizza in my opinion. Delicious! We always have a great meal when we visit.

Bolognese is out of this world!! Love the Mason Pizza as well. Food is consistently great, and the prices are fair.

The host and our server were were cordial, nice and friendly. We got some nice warm breads to start the meal and some free green salads that came with our dinners. The Chicken Ornella, the Chicken Piccata, the Bolognese and my wild Salmon were all very well made. Fresh tasting, homemade pastas and well prepared. For dessert we all shared a delicious Bread Pudding....YUMM.... This is a great place for a meal in New London, check it out. Free parking in the back of the restaurant. A parking lot that lead to the main dining area through a set of steep stairs. The entrance on Broad is street level.

The waiter did not do a good job of coming to our table to check in on us, drink orders, and refilling our waters. This time I tired some of the lamb chop which was cooked well and tasted amazing for an appetizer. For the main entree this time, I had a special which was a halibut with a linguini pasta. The fish was cooked pretty good and so was the pasta (al dente) however the sauce that it was served in was quite bland. Definitely a letdown with the sauce which made me not finish the pasta. If they nailed the sauce with something savory and complimentary to the fish, this would've kept the high praise review. Overall, this experience was unfortunately a letdown with the food and staff/service, probably a bit of an unfortunate choice in meal and poor waiter for my table. Hopefully my next visit which will be in the far future is better. Food(50%): 6.5 Staff/service(25%): 4.0 Value(25%): 5.0 Overall: 5.5/10
