We've been coming here since the 1970s and have never walked away dissatisfied. They've been in business for more than 60 years. You will be warmly greeted and treated with kindness. They have an extensive menu and everything we've ever had was absolutely delicious. We've had pizza, fried clams, salads, and many different sandwiches and grinders. Yesterday we had a small sausage/pepperoni pizza and a Chef's Salad. FYI: the salad is large enough for 3 or 4 people, if you care to share. The ambiance is casual. The restaurant is very clean. There is road parking out front and a smallish private parking lot along the side and in the back. There is a back door entrance if you park in back. There are many good things to say about Ocean Pizza in New London. We highly recommend them. Actually, I can't believe we haven't left a review before. On this evening of June 2025, I was fortunate enough to enjoy the fried belly clam dinner. The bellies were big, juicy, and perfect. I get FBC everywhere and no one does it as I enjoy them here. Do you like small bellies? Do they get too unctuous? Then get out of here! They were market price today, so $32.99 but it is worth every cent. I went home for holiday. Ocean pizza is a staple in NL. It's tradition if you move away first stop OP. I met up with family members. OP accommodated all of us 10 + kids. The service was great our waitresses patience. Food was good as usual. Good old New London style pizza just as I remember it. The same family still owns it and they are lovely people. Small and cozy on the inside. No frills... just good home cooking. Everyone in my family loves the eggplant parm, but I am all about the pizza. It is Greek style and has a thick, crunchy crust. Sometimes they have homemade rice pudding for dessert. The entrees are served with fresh bread and a house salad. The house vinaigrette is the best. So many things have changed, but Ocean Pizza reminded me some things stay just the same. read more

I am a fan of pizza. Thin, foldable New York street pizza, chewy and charry New Haven pizza, so-thick-it's-almost-a-casserole Chicago deep dish. It's all good. I was in my thirties when I moved to New England, and nearly forty when I heard of Greek pizza. So, what is Greek pizza? It is proofed and cooked in a metal pan rather than stretched by tossing and fitting into a pan. Is has a thicker crust than New York and New Haven styles, but still not a thick crust. Wikipedia describes it as "typically spongy, airy, and light, like focaccia but not as thick." It also states it is "rather oily, due to the coating of oil applied to the pan during preparation." Although the crust is not overly thick, the pizza as a whole is very dense and heavy due to the abundance of toppings. Many of the Greek pizzas I get are well over 1.5-inches, sometimes nearing 2-inches, thick. Enough about Greek pizza in general; Let's talk about Ocean Pizza specifically. Owned and operated by a Greek family, you can hear locals speaking Hellenic in booths throughout the restaurant. Anyone is welcome, of course, and you will find all kinds of people visiting. The neighbourhood is a bit rough, but inside is comfortable with numerous booths and smaller tables. The staff is super friendly and works hard to provide good service. Prices average around twenty bucks a pizza, which is a good value considering how chonky Greek pizza can be. They also have a huge menu which I haven't yet tried. Gyros, hot and cold grinders, salads, and a bunch of other things. Awesome. If you're hungry and anywhere near Ocean Pizza, please consider this awesome, delicious, and affordable mom-and-pop restaurant that works hard to please its customers. read more

I have been coming here since I was a kid in the early 90's, so perhaps that comfy feeling of nostalgia is beneficial to my review. The food is very tasty though. Food: Everything that I have ordered is yummy. My go to would always be the seafood platter/fish and chips. It's not very seasoned, so I'd you're looking for a high salt content, you'll be disappointed, however, it's haddock cooked perfectly and you can get that sal flavor in the tarter sauce, which is house made. I add a little salt to my tarter. Burgers also yummy. Their pizza is delicious, though I do like extra sauce, so I'd recommend ordering it that way with bacon & green peppers. I also want to mention that the portions are large, so you do get a lot of bang for your buck! Service: The staff is kind, and will always make you feel comfortable, so dine in to get that experience, as well as fresh food. Ambiance: There's not much to see. It's an older restaurant, so the seating area, bathrooms, etc need updating. I'm sure it's in its original shape, however the food trumps the aesthetics of ambiance. Ocean pizza is not what it used to be.My last two visits proved to be just okay. Last week I ordered a sausage grinder.The bread was hard and was toasted too long.The waitress would not take it back.I had only taken two bites.I guess that was too much.I paid my bill without further fuss.What the hay. Today I ordered spaghetti.I asked for extra sauce..Not only did I not get the extra sauce,but only about half as much.I compensated by adding my home sauce to the meal.I made management aware of what happened.They did apologize and stated they would "make me whole" the next time I came to the restaurant.I will not be visiting Ocean Pizza anytime in the near future.BTW the online menu is outdated. read more

Yes it's a pizza place and at first I was worried because there was such a variety of menu items but I can never disregard Greek food so we ordered the smelts appetizer, each a gyro plate, and the amount of food was insane ! I wish they would've told us how much food was in a serving, but the value was incredible! At least we have enough for dinner now. Went for dinner on short notice with family & friends...6 of us in our group! Food was great & so was the service! There are so many delicious options on their menu. Dinners come with a very generous salad & bread which I didn't get a photo of. Their homemade creamy garlic dressing is outstanding! Great pizza, fries, chicken tenders are huge & very nice portion size & great club sandwiches as well. My only complaint is NO REFILLS ON SODA!! Soda is so cheap from the tap & they charge so much!
