This location has been opened for 20 years and since then the quality of the food still stays consist. I've been to this location for most of those years. My favorite thing to get is their Chesse Fries and their Chicken Noodle Soup. In my opinion they best cheese fries I have ever had. I Iove the type of cheese sauce they use for their non seasoned curly fries which I don't find anywhere else. To me, their chicken noodle soup is good as well. They put a good amount of chicken, carrots, celery, and noodles with the right amount of flavor in a decent size bowl. My go to flavor for wings is their Gold Fever wings which consist of hot sauce and honey mustard. This is what I normally order and it still taste the same after all these years. I hate that some of the less than glowing reviews (I tend to steer clear of places with less than 4 Yelp stars) kept me from trying this gem for almost a full 2 years since moving to the area. I've subjected myself to BWW, Wing Stop, Wings N More, and all the time avoided Wings 'n Things. Since I've not been overwhelmed by the aforementioned establishments, we decided to give this place a whirl one evening and have been back since (and will continue to go back). A very pleasant staff (seems family owned based on my observations, but not 100% sure), plenty of variety and ways to order so you can pretty much customer suit your order to what you want and what you like with your wings (which is nice, keeps you from having to pay for accompaniaments which you may not care for with your wings if you're a purist). Wings are PERFECTLY cooked. Let me say that again... PERFECTLY!!! They are crispy on the outside without being remotely overcooked and moist melt in your mouth delicious on the inside. My personal favorites are the medium traditional hot wing sauce and the 'Gold Fever' (perfect blend of hot buffalo and honey mustard). Their ranch dressing is plentiful and good. The fried pickles (chips, not spears, as they should be) are out of this world. The soft drinks are E-Normous and the wait staff is friendly and attentive. Stopped in because it's close to home and wings n things in Cali is the bombest! However, this place...not so much. The wait super long, although there wasn't many customers Curly fries, limp and greasy. Ordered 20 wings, limited to 2 sauces: got 5 with no sauce for daughter, the rest lemon pepper and something that equated to a spicy mango sauce which the young lady said was most popular. Wings were dry. The lemon pepper was all dry rub, no sauce/butter so it was basically sprinkled on. Not a fan. The mango concoction, was not very spicy or flavorful, just kind sweet and sour sauce-ish. Never again! I'll make the drive to bonfire. read more

The deep fried pickles appetizer ($5.45) was awesome, had the right amount of kick, freshness, and served out hot. I ordered the 'Gold Fever' boneless wings combo ($10.45) cause the honey BBQ and hot sauce sounded intriguing, but I was kind of disappointed. I figured a hint of honey would be there, but there wasn't, just bland tasting hot sauce. The attempt of hot sauce that lacked the full advertised product. My fiancé liked his wings, he ordered 'Spicy BBQ' bone in combo ($9.75) his had a taste to it that I didn't like, something that overpowered the wing, but I can't think of the spice that made it taste weird (to me, not him). The combos consisted of the 10 count wings, 2 celery sticks, and fries or salad. Fries were ok, but if they had sprinkled the fries with the same stuff as the deep fried pickles, it would've been awesome. There weren't a whole lot of people, just us and another couple and 2 other groups of two were getting orders to go. So not a busy night, no birthday parties or kids running around cause there's a sign with the entrance that says something about "keeping an eye out for your kids" in rainbow block letters. So heads up on that parents! Staff was decent, all adults since someone mentioned that the place was 'overrun with teens'. Our waitress would repeat the order (3 times) to make sure everything was right, although I told her no celery, since we got the combo, it was still on there. No biggie but I could taste the celery on my wings and I'm not a fan of it, so that ruined my appetite. With my experience, I'm giving it a 3 out of 5 star rating, with my fiancé's I'm sure he'd give it 5 out of 5 since he was really impressed with his wings and said that was like the "best BBQ sauce he's ever had". read more

Tried the rest, had to come back to the best. By far the best wings in Houston... Staff is awesome, food is great. They recently redid the interior, and it is much nicer. Tons of TV's. Been coming here for 15 years at least once a month. I appreciate that they ask parents to keep thier childern seated at thier table (via message on front door). It may be nostalgia, or just the fact that their wings are great, but this is my favorite wing place. My personal preference is the Gold Fever, which is a honey mustard spicy flavor. There isn't a better way to bond with family or friends then over a nice pile of wings with cheese fries. The service is pretty decent, but the atmosphere may be a little lacking. I have been going here since I was in my teens, and virtually nothing has changed. I have no complaints, but if you are looking for a truly trendy establishment, this may not be the place for you. To be honest in all the years I have been going here, I have never had anything other than wings and fries. Came on to order food with my family, I am enjoying a conversation with my brothers and when I look up and see the tv... to my horror I see someone's arm fall off showing blood, bones and tissue as I have a piece of chicken in my mouth... I know it's Halloween time but to have a show like that in a place you bring your kids too is completely unacceptable in my opinion. This is our favorite wing place around. Always fresh and always done right. Their regular hot sauce is the true essence of Buffalo Wings. They have many great sauces in their lineup. Their blue cheese is made fresh and has great flavor. The staff is friendly and happy you came in. There are other "Things" they have that are really good too that you might not expect from them. Their chicken & noodle soup reminds you of homemade. They also do a nice bowl of chili that is a true Texas bowl of red. I do find their drive through/pick up window process a little clumsy. I use to go here all the time over the years of them being opened. I went recently and they definitely fell off... I don't know what happened. I was better off going to wing stop or something. First, we ordered and received our food within 5 minutes of ordering ( normally wouldn't be a complaint right?) but it was super cold and definitely greedy portions, paying 12$ a plate + more I would think they would give a little more. Second, I'm lookIng at my wings and on one of them mixed with the sauce is a staple ???? A full metal looking staple, I call the lady over and she try's her hardest " ohhh no it's a bristle from our sauce brush" LOL girl either way there is a piece of metal in my food. She takes it back and is back within 30 seconds, with my same cold food. Horrible, horrible experience. Can't wait for them to build a pluckers in this area !! read more

My coworker and I placed two separate orders over the phone in which she picked the orders up. Her order was correct but 1/2 of my order wasn't. The wings in both of our orders were hard and dry. Extremely overcooked. When I called the establishment, the manager asked us to bring the order back. We're on a lunch break so there was no time for us to do that as we're not close to the establishment. So, I asked the manager if we couldn't make it back because we had to clock back in for work what were we supposed to do. He said bring it a later date. Seriously? The most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. So have no lunch to eat so that I can bring back the food in a few days. I wasn't asking or expecting anything for free but he could've have given me credit for the mistake they made. I will never come here again and I used to enjoy this place. Loser! read more

This place is the champions of wings, the wings guru's. They keep it simple with the sauces but have a few of their own spins. The blu gold is one of my favorites. Right behind the medium with garlic. The flavor is sooooo good. The fries always come out fresh and are delicious. Never too greasy or burnedThey are also the quickest wing place ever in my opinion even when they are busy. Staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. They do have a drive through which is awesome and quick. The place has always been clean when we have eaten there. My family recommends the medium with garlic, the lemon pepper, the gold fever and the blue gold. If your in the mood for wings this is by far the place to try out. Would definitely recommend this place for lunch and dinner. The dessert menu is also a chart topper. And you can never go wrong with any of the appetizers. read more

We stopped by for lunch over the weekend while in the area. We lived nearby almost ten years ago and remembered how much we liked this place then. We were around lunchtime on Saturday. No wait at all, I'm fact there were only three other tables of customers. The girl who waited on us was very nice and prompt. I ordered a combo with six wings with original sauce, fries, and a drink. The wings were good. Not too messy, not too hot. The curly fries were good, too. There's nothing extraordinary about their food, IMO, but I was happy to find that it was just as good as it was ten years ago. These are by far my favorite wings though. I'm not a big wing person but wherever we've loved over the past decade I've always recalled how much I liked theirs, which says something, I guess. The restaurant itself is old and outdated. I was skeptical at first about this place, but my co-workers told me about it and I'm so happy I found this place through them because these are literally the best wings I've ever had! They're so crispy on the outside and the inside is moist and juicy - I usually get the original spice in hot with the chilli cheese curly fries but I've had their burger, chicken sandwich, honey bbq wings and lemon pepper wings.. they're all great! My bf has had almost all wing flavors and the onion rings and he loves everything as well. It's a bit of a drive for me since I live in The Woodlands but it's completely worth it! (Also they have a convenient pickup window which is what I usually go, I don't really ever dine in so I can't comment on the actually aesthetic of the restaurant) 10/10 read more

My overall experience was good. The building could use a few upgrades. The wings are less expensive than other wings places in the area. I was not satisfied with the Honey BBQ, it was missing the honey. The Gold Fever was pretty good, a unique flavor. I also had fried pickles which were decent; they were thicker than i expected. Worst wings as of today! I have been going to Wings & Things on 1960 for years and the wings have been great until today. I ordered a combo of 25 wings and got miniature dried up wings. They were over cooked because they were extremely small. I called to complain and the manager told me they couldn't help the size of the wings they received. There are so many buffalo wing chains around town. Wing Stop, Wings N' More, Hooter's to name a few. Are these all owned by the same company? Lots of variety to get your wing craving satisfied but I still like this one for a few reasons: 1) The salads are unbelievably fresh; 2) Potato nachos; and 3) This location has an outdoor patio and drive-thru service. I'm not a "spicy" person. My tastebuds are just sensitive like that. If I eat something really spicy, I can't taste anything for at least 48 hours. That's even AFTER I drink milk. Don't drink water by the way. Milk. Trust me. I always get either the lemon pepper or BBQ flavored wings. Places like Wing Stop makes these flavors too but it's just too salty. I feel like I'm going to shrivel up because of all the salt. Other buffalo wing establishments sell wings that are either too dry and/or there's hardly any meat on them. The wings here are juicy and it's got meat. Fancy that! Do try the potato nachos. They're like regular nachos but made with waffle fries instead of tortilla chips. 100% evil... but good. The construction on 1960 right in front of this Wings N' Things is finally over (for now) so it's a lot easier to get to. The parking lot at this entire strip center is still crappy so watch for the potholes. But hey... there's Firestone down the street. read more

This ain't your "pretty" or "flashy" wing place but they have great wings and awesome customer service, what else do ya need??? My family and I have been customers here for a good 10 years and they've always been consistent with their food and service. They have a pretty good menu selection ranging from the obvious wing choices to burgers, chicken tenders and salads. The prices aren't bad either. For a wing basket consisting of wings, celery sticks and your choice of fries or salad, the prices range from $8.75 for a 6 piece bone in wings, $10.55 for 10 piece and $14 for a 16 piece. I think their wing baskets are a good value because compared to other places that only give you wings and you have to order any sides that you want separately (uh yeah,no dice!) here you get fries and veggie sticks too. They do offer boneless wings too but my fave is bone in :) My fave side orders are their fried pickles, fried mushrooms and their garlic bread (always toasty and buttery-yum!). The interior has changed a bit over the years, they added more tv's which is great for game days (they are happy to change the channel for you to whatever preference you have as well!) As aforementioned, it's not a glitzy place but it's clean with plenty of tables and the food is good. Have I mentioned the service? I believe this is family owned franchise restaurant. The same friendly faces have been here pretty much as long as we've been coming lol They recognize us each and every time we go. Recently, I've moved about 20-25mins away but we still make the drive to this wing spot instead of other closer spots to us, so that should tell you something lol It can kinda be easy to miss if you're not looking, it's right off of 1960 or Cypress Creek Parkway as others know it, past Kuykendahl in a shopping strip. They do have a drive thru window for those of us on the go, the wait hasn't been that long in my opinion, especially if you call your order in ahead of time. Wings'n Things has the BEST wings you can get your hands on, no contest. The flavor of the hot Buffalo sauce is exactly how the perfect Buffalo wing should tast.
