We drove a good distance to come here--since we wanted wings and this was a top rated spot on Yelp. I was really surprised by all of the positive reviews after I finished eating here. We opted to eat here, since they do have a small counter with a couple chairs and it was a long drive back--we wanted to try the wings fresh. We ordered the spicy honey lemon pepper wings and the buffalo garlic boneless wings. Also an order of fries and some cheese sticks. Sadly, they weren't offering waffle fries, because I was really looking forward to trying those. Out of all of the food, I probably liked the cheese sticks the best, but nothing was impressive to any degree. We had both ranch and bleu cheese, and it was hard to taste a difference between the two. They didn't put lids on some of the dipping sauces, so from the walk with our bag from the kitchen to the counter where we ate, white sauce spilled all over the bag and made a gigantic mess. The spicy honey lemon pepper tasted like mostly honey, but the wings themselves were cooked fine. The boneless wings were tough and the garlic flavor was just overall underwhelming. The fries were about as boring as it gets--I'd guess that they're frozen. The cheese sticks that I mentioned--I've actually had better at Jack in the Box. The guy who took our order was nice and easygoing, but he was constantly talking on the phone outside when not taking orders. To the extent that others who came in to order after us were taken aback and unsure if they needed to wait for him to finish his call. I noticed they now advertise 50 flavors, and the specials have changed as well. Unfortunately, just my luck, my usual flavor, Spicy Lemon Pepper BBQ, is no longer on the menu. I decided to try Spicy Lemon Pepper Honey instead, and it was actually really good. I'd definitely order that flavor again. My friend ordered the same flavor, but her order only came out as regular Spicy Lemon Pepper, so she was understandably disappointed with that mix-up. I also ordered two separate 6-count wing orders ($10.99 each) and was only given one ranch sauce. Mind you, these weren't part of a wing special. If I had ordered a 12-count with two flavors, I would've understood, but ordering two separate 6-counts made me assume we'd each get our own sauce. Maybe I should've been more specific, but honestly, I didn't think that would be necessary. The other odd part of the experience was requesting the wings to be fried hard. The cook came out from the back three separate times to confirm that's what I wanted and kept emphasizing that it would take 20 minutes. I was a little confused because, yes, that's exactly how I ordered them, and I was perfectly fine waiting since I'm paying for the food. I even asked how long they normally cook them because all the repeated confirmations started making me concerned. The reason I requested them fried hard in the first place was because during a previous visit, the wings were soft and borderline undercooked. I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of wing flavors they offer here. There are a lot of options on the menu and it honestly took me a minute to decide. I'm a pretty big wing fan, so I was excited to try this place out. They have a list of their top flavors posted right in front of where you order, which made it a little easier to narrow things down. I ended up picking two from that list. I went with the garlic parmesan wings and the lemon pepper buffalo since those seemed to be two of the more favored options. I was slightly disappointed because with the amount of flavors they have, the sauces and rubs were good, but the wings themselves were not cooked crispy. They were a little on the softer side and slightly undercooked for my taste, which is why I ended up deducting a star. If the wings had been fried a bit longer and had that crispy bite, this probably would have easily been a five-star experience for me. I ordered inside and the customer service was really good. The staff was friendly and my food came out pretty quickly, which I appreciated. Flavor-wise everything was solid, so the potential is definitely there. I also snapped a picture of the menu because they run different specials throughout the week. Unfortunately I came on the weekend, so I wasn't able to take advantage of any of the weekday deals. The wings are a little pricey, but honestly that seems to be the going rate for wings these days. The wings here and just OK. Like every other restaurant they've paid an influencer to drum up more business and that's the reason for the high star rating. But given the price I'd opt for other spots.. The amount of wing flavors is vast but they lack flavor. I tried the spicy honey lemon pepper and they were mid. Not nearly enough lemon pepper, no spice and they sat in the honey sauce. To be clear they were not nasty, I ate all 6. But I also got a tea and the 6 piece with the drink was right at $18. She seems to be in high school so it's definitely inexperience but I called to place the order over the phone and she answered "Hello". Wings 87 is as much of a wing joint, as a wing joint gets. Quaint spot with a subtle, urban flair. 87 different wing flavors. Straight and to the point. As far as service is involved the staff are pretty efficient and polite. Wait time honestly varies depending on how many people are there, but I've never had an order error. One thing I didn't particularly care for was the fact that during one of my visits there were patrons that were offered a store offer (leaving a review and getting a free tea) in which I wasn't. Overall I wouldn't rave that it was over the top service, but it was good all the same. I also love that this spot is Halal. The fries are actually perfectly seasoned and pair well with the wings. Did I mention that they have 87 different flavors? A wing lovers dream! My personal favorite is the Honey Lemon Pepper. The wings are pretty decent. I also opted for the mozzarella sticks and they were only okay. Ranch here is also okay. This spot is a bit on the pricier side, but nothing too ridiculous. I found out about this place through a food influencer's video. The wings looked so good in the video, that I placed my ordered immediately afterwards. This review is based on the flavors that I selected. I ordered a small Mango Habanero and Buffalo Minced Garlic Hot with a side of fries and blue cheese dressing. The Mango Habanero wing flavor was pretty good but nothing like Buffalo Wild Wings MH flavor. Mostly, I was disappointed with the Buffalo Minced Garlic. The garlic overpowered the wings and I wasn't too thrilled with the taste at all. The fries tasted as if they had been out all day. The blue cheese dressing is a bit on the sweeter side for my liking. Overall, the wings were just okay. The first impression I had was overwhelmed with all the flavors available, but I understand that's this shop's specialty. However, I soon realized a good portion of the flavors are just variability of each other (ex, mild, spicy, very spicy). Then the texture of the wings also disappointing, the wings tasted hard (rather than crunchy or juicy) despite being hot and sometimes even hurt my gums as I bite into it. The flavors are are also a mix of experience: Spicy Honey BBQ is my favorite, and pretty self explanatory. I was intrigued about what is code blue, and it turned out to be just very spicy buffalo. And my least favorite was lemon pepper, which tasted overly sour and artificial in my opinion. Lastly the sides: both struggled with being super soggy, which really ruined my enjoyment of them. And a couple of onion rings I tried did not even have any onion and was just a dough ring. The only highlight of my expereince here was service. When Mike Tyson & Jake Paul fight dinner Wings 87 use to be my little hidden gem, the wings were always hot and the owner used to make sure that quality was at the highest standard, but the owner was not there and I think this was the reason why the quality was extremely low. We ordered 37 wings and didn't get the right sauce and the wings were terribly dry. This was extremely disappointing and they ran out of bread which was very unfortunate. Ok so I go to the dominos next door waaaaaaayyy too much than I'd ever admit. And recently I've been ordering the wings from there too. But curiosity got the best of me today about this small establishment next door. Upon digging deeper, I noticed a bunch of positive reviews from fellow Elites. And hey look they even had a yelp certificate as a beloved business. So heck yeah, I had to try it. Called in advance and although I didn't qualify for the 65 year old senior discount I did qualify for the Neighbors discount seeing as I only live 1/2 a block away. The small 7 piece comes with either ranch or blue cheese dipping sauce. And the dry rub lemon pepper kinda reminded me of Wing Stop's lemon pepper (which I'm goo goo for) except maybe more lemony and peppery. The wings at Wings 87 look bigger than Wing Stop. So that was a plus. And the staff (maybe owners?) were super nice. All smiles and easy to talk to. I'm a big supporter of mom and pop shops, so will definitely return. read more

Reading the reviews, I stopped here on my way home from the Manvel area. I called my order in and was able to pick up earlier than I thought and started digging in at home. First, the smell and taste is incredible; they put the effort in the ingredients which shows. Second, they don't skimp on the sauce. So it'll be as wet as a car wash which I like; some people don't like saucy wings for some odd reason; then get the sauce on the side. As for the texture, some of the wings were tough so chewing was a difficulty. Also the size of some of the wings weren't what I was accustomed too. At least with the price, $20 for 14 wings, it's somewhat better than other places which I've seen charge $30+ for 10+ wings. When did wings become so pricy!? The staff was friendly and polite and they have so many other wing flavors so I'm open to trying them again and during the earlier parts of the day. First try I'd say if you don't like to spend much on wings and hate paying for everything separate than this isn't the place for you . The actual price for all of this was $64 14 wings and waffle fries no fries , 14 wings with regular fries one can coke and a sandwich no fries no drink , to me I thought It's kind of expensive 14 wings are about $21 but it's actually good . The wings were great I wouldn't get the hot flavor again since it taste to much like some over the counter hour sauce but I'd go back to try another flavor , everything was fresh . The wings were more and the crispy side but delicious and fresh oh the wait was 30 min to get our food there no people at the moment that kinda sucked . The waffles fries are my only complaint to crispy way to crispy but if you love wings definitely try this spot it's worth it if you don't mind spending and trying a new spot . Great local wing spot, especially for the value! I ordered the regular portion of boneless wings which came with 14 hearty, meaty pieces of boneless nuggets, smothered by your sauce of choice, Honey BBQ in this case. I got the combo, which comes with a side of fries. Fries were tasty and well-seasoned! Glad to find a local wing joint that is not Bdubs or Wingstop. I ordered takeout - my only complaint is that I came at the quoted time (15 minutes) after calling in my order but food wasn't ready yet...no big deal. They said they'd bring my food out to my car when it would be ready within the next 2 minutes; I ended up waiting an extra 15 minutes for them to bring it out after I called inside asking about it. 30 minute total wait for wings? I'm thinking the food was probably ready and sat there until I called (maybe they forgot?). I don't think they're doing dine-in during these pandemic times, particularly since the place is pretty small. Came to buy wings from the shop due to seeing how high this place was rated and man was I disappointed. The lady at the front was very nice when picking up my food so no problems with service but when it came to eating the boneless wings my heart sank. I can't describe how tough the chicken is. It's like these chickens were pro-fighters before they ended up on the grill. When it comes to flavoring the outside of the wings these guys have it down packed but the texture is terrible.
