Walked in, stood at the counter for 10 minutes while three employees (who clearly saw me) could not care less that they had a customer waiting to order at the register. They just stood there carrying on with their personal conversations. At which point I just walked out hungry and frustrated and drove further down the road to Buffalo Wild Wings and was served instantly. You cannot see it in the picture, but the girl was just literally leaning against a work station the entire time with her arms folded doing nothing but talking. Let me start by saying it if I have a negative visit, I always go back a second time just to make sure I was right or wrong. On the first trip, my daughter made an online order. We were given a time that the order would be ready and we arrived at the specified time. Due to inadequate staffing, and only one person working, it took an additional 30 minutes for a food to be ready. I also witnessed the individual working, answer the phone and declining orders. On my second trip in, I simply asked for a gift card for my daughters birthday. I was told that none of the staff were aware on how to process a gift card and if there's nothing they can do to help me l. The order preceding me was wrong and the customer had to fight to get it corrected. The staff seemed very uninterested in to correct the issue. Staff was incredibly rude and inattentive. Waited for almost an hour while employees behind the counter goofed off, joked around and ignored customers waiting to place orders at the counter. To top it all off, my they shorted me one large fry, shorted me vegetables, and managed to give me the wrong wings. Out of five items ordered they got four wrong...20% success rate for orders! I also asked for them to be extra crispy, but about 15 minutes in watching the employees (sans hair nets, gloves or any visible food safety protocols) laugh and dance to blaring rap music, rather than work, I didn't expect them to ever manage to get something like that right. My suspicions were correct and chicken skin was slimy and not cooked to the point I worried it could be a health hazard. 0/10 recommend, save your money and go elsewhere. WingStop is not at all what it used to be and businesses treating food safety standards and customer service this lax should be allowed to go under. read more

These folks are trying, but in-store ordering is VERY slow and inefficient, online ordering is just as bad.... employees are trying, but generally untrained and nice, but clueless. Food is good, but quite expensive and slow, slow, slow. I came in as a delivery driver and there is no professionalism here. Everyone in the back wants to drop the f bomb and half of the staff doesn't even do anything in the back. Ordered through Uber eats and the fries look great. The buffalo boneless wings look well sauced but the spicy Korean Q sauce was barely covered on the wings. I've been to other wingstops and never had this issue not being sauced all the way. Consistency is key. read more

Tonight I talked my wife into doing Wingstop. Walked in and was greeted with "do you have an order,?'... We were like did we need one? Never got an answer. So we pleaded for info and the guy was like we have wings boneless or classic. We had to figure out the menu on our own...it was very awkward. Got home...no blue cheese dip ...no large fries that our combo was supposed to come with! The classic wings where over done and dry. We saw the cooks pull out a huge bag of frozen wings...bad news for a specialty place! I gave 2 stars for the boneless wings and their sauces were very good. I don't see this place lasting long. The music was very loud. I couldn't hear the person behind the register and they asked me to repeat myself a few times because they also couldn't hear me. We ordered carry out in person and waited for the food. It took 29 minutes from the time we ordered to when we walked out the door. The fries were lukewarm at best (ate them while driving the 5 minutes home). When we got home we realized they only gave us 7 wings each instead of the 2 8 piece meals we ordered each. The Hickory Smoked BBQ wings were good. The Louisiana rub and garlic parmesan wings were extremely grease. I will not be going back there. read more

Service was absolutely awful. Got here at 11 and workers didn't show up until 11:16. Workers didn't open the doors until 12 even though all online sources and their own door says open at 11am. I went again today to try again, and this time was more of the same. They're slow and the food is just not that good. Soggy fries and several wings still had feathers on them. I asked a couple of times when ours would be ready, and was told twice we were next. Finally got order, drove home, pulled food out and one meal was to have veggie sticks, but order had frys. Ordered on Wingstop App for delivery which was supposed to be delivered by 7:10. I called at 7:25, given the weather wasn't the best, and was told the driver just walked out. We waited another 20 minutes and called back again. Tanisha answered and was anything but helpful/professional. As a matter of fact, she told me "I don't know what to tell you." I asked if she could track my order and she claimed she couldn't. I asked her what time the driver left the establishment, she told me that they didn't record that. I have never had such terrible service! Ames Wingstop is AMAZING and we have never had ANY issues like this. We will not be ordering from Wingstop in Ankeny again. I put in an order online around 2pm and received confirmation it would be ready at 6pm. When I arrived, there was a long wait. After 30 minutes a gentleman who put in a walk in order at 6 inquired about his order. They recieved their order in about 35 minutes, which was an order for 2 (the same as mine). I continued to wait and the asked the staff stating my order was supposed to be ready at 6 (it was then 6:45) and explained that I had somewhere to be and was now very very late. I asked of they could confirm if they recieved my order. After looking they did have the order. After waiting 50 minutes and people with walk in orders getting their food before me, I finally recieved the order but I was over an hour late to my commitment. Not pleased at all. This was only the 3rd time I've tried WingStop. Though the food was good, and I do not believe I will be returning any time soon as I could've went anywhere an gotten my order sooner and made my commitment on time.
