I've been to this location many times as it is on my commute home. The drive thru length can vary per day from very long, through the parking lot, to almost no one. The line is always moving though and well organized with signs and lane markers. Most recently, I came to try the pretzel club sandwich. It was so good! I read my 2016 review where I got a free meal. It's funny to think this is the first time back since then, and it's because it was a free meal again. Gifted a card for a free Chick-fil-A meal we made our way across town. We parked in the shared parking lot. We decided to eat in. We walked in, and it was all smiles behind the counter. That, to me, really makes a difference. Since we only had 2 choices with the gift card, it made it pretty easy. I got the meal with a drink, and my hubby matched me. Then, for a small chicken nuggets also. We were given a number and we went and found a seat. Everything was clean and stocked. We sat near the back. I could see out the widow. 3 different individuals were outside for traffic in the drive in. Luckily the weather was really nice mild winter day. We enjoyed our meal. Although we think the price beimg free was a bonus. The meal itself would have been about $10 a person and we commented on the price vs. product Again. The staff here gave it the extra star. There was a good number working, cleaning, cooking and directing traffic. Good to see so many working. All caught with smiles on their faces. read more

Chick-fil-A is a processing machine. We found parking in the back and navigated through the 2 streams of cars in the drivethru lanes. We made it safely to the restaurant. It was great that the ordering line went quickly and smoothly. The table rotation was high and found seating. My peers at work bring in their fried Nuggets and mini sandwiches as treats. But today we had their Grilled Chicken and Grilled Chicken Club sandwiches. In both sandwiches the chicken breast was cooked well, were moist and decently sized. They didn't have much flavor in and of themselves. The rest of the ingredients were fresh. On the Club sandwich, which has an additional 130 calories, the bacon did add some flavor but the added cheese had minimal flavor. It was quick and satisfied our lunch needs. read more

Worst Chick-Fil-A restaurant I have ever been to. Extremely slow service. Ordered a chicken sandwich--no pickle, add honey mustard and a coffee. Sandwich had ONLY PICKLE, no HM and waited 10 min. for the coffee. They were bringing orders to cars waiting behind us that could not even get out of the line. Extremely poor management of customers. They recently shut this one down to, I thought, improve traffic flow and service but I honestly believe it is worse than before. Avoid this one unless you enjoy lots of frustration. read more

I don't know if these are new items they're trying to get the word out about but I try to use them everytime because I love chicfila for breakfast. today's offer was mini chicken sandwiches. for me these were a bust. they are cute as hell. little balls of chicken tucked into little biscuitss, bit the chicken to biscuit ratio is way off. it's mostly biscuit, too dry for me. the service was good, I went through the drive through. it went quick and smoothly. polite staff. My wife and I, both being educators, went to this restaurant, where the outside waiter said they were doing the promotion but that he couldn't discount two sandwiches from his tablet and would have to send me up to the window for that. When I arrived at the window, I was told that they couldn't do any discounts not even on one sandwich. So, I drove off. Love this new location! Chicken nuggets and sandwiches made and served as expected. Every time. This location is definitely smaller than Paradise Point but maneuvering is fine. Parking lot is crazy coming in due to other businesses. But not terrible if in a hurry. Kid and family friendly. Not so sure for large groups. But that shouldn't stop you from visiting. Drive through is great! Lost baby shoes here a couple times and thankfully I've been able to find them here each time. Honestly although the menu is limited this place never misses for me. Love the spicy chicken and mac and cheese and the peppermint shake is refreshing. Chicken is juicy and has great flavor. Best part about really any chick fil a is the service. Blows my mind that they can manage to clear out a very packed drive through so well and still give good food. Also don't sleep on thier breakfast items or thier wrap with the avocado ranch dressing. The wrap is usually a little dry but the dressing helps alot if you want a bit more of a healthy menu item. But now that I've had their breakfast, there's no going for breakfast elsewhere. The biscuits at this location in particular are amazing. Dustin and his morning crew are always so fast and friendly, so now I go inside! I've always had good experiences here but the breakfast in particular is something worth waking up for! Tried ordering via their app. Nuggets, fries, and lemonade. I selected curbside pickup, but there's no designated parking spots. The staff has to find you in the parking lot. Anyhow, when I pulled up, my food was delivered almost immediately, sans drink. When I asked the girl serving me for my lemonade, she seemed surprised that I didn't have it yet, and annoyed she would have to return inside to get it. Not much in the way of an apology, and I received the most insincere "my pleasure " possible. I referred the visit on to corporate and will update when the opportunity arises. This place does chicken well. Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich meal, and another order of 8 piece chicken nuggets. Chicken itself was very flavorful and the tomatoes and lettuce very fresh and colorful. No old ingredients here. The chicken nuggets were very good too. They weren't your standard ground up garbage, these were all different shapes and sizes and had real chicken pieces. I also enjoyed that their ketchup and ranch dressing and other sauces are all in little trays rather squeeze packets. So I don't have to pour anything out to be able to dip my nuggets or fries. I was watching TV and saw some whaky cow commercials saying "EAT MOR CHIKIN" A craving rose and I was off to Chik-Fil-A! What I like about Chik-Fil-A is that even though it is fast food, being in here feels somewhat like a restaurant, for example, the servers will bring your food to your table. It's also very nice and clean. As for the food, oh man, You have some delicious fresh stuff. A little priceier than your typical fast food, but worth every penny. Too make it quick all chic filet are busy so that bring said please managers ask your employees to make sure all utensils are in the bag, because once we get our bag we take off and go. I called to express this to a manager on duty at 3:55pm and mind you this is on a Saturday July 25. I told him the problem and he basically said yes I'm sorry. I was like ok. The. I went in to explain I'm staying at a hotel and because of covid restaurant a are closed so theirs no utensils at hotels right now. I had to get back in my car and drive to nearest restaurant and get some silver ware to eat my food. Just so unfortunate the manger I spoke with was pretty lame with feeling apologetic towards me and saying he would remind his employees. Needless to say I will not be stopping at that location again. While driving on our way home from Yellowstone; we came through West Des Moines and stopped at this Chick-fil-A restaurant for a late lunch. The restaurant was very clean, the counter staff was extremely polite, and the food was great!! Nearly finished up, Karla stopped by our table and asked if everything was ok and did we need anything. We assured her it was very good, and she asked if we had been there before. When we told her where we were coming from and why we were travelling (our 40th wedding anniversary); she gave us a free dessert card, and wished us many more years together!! She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. If we are ever in West Des Moines again, you can bet we will stop in for a bite to eat. Such a simple menu compared to other fast food restaurants. The chain differentiations itself with great service and quality fast food. This location really stands out in customer service. Right after we ordered, the expediter had our food and instead of just handing us the tray, he walked it to our table. During our 45 minutes at the restaurant, we had at least 5 times when someone would ask if we wanted a refill on the drinks. Also came and took our tray of trash. Kids loved the play area. Unlike some other locations like the Burger King in Ankeny, this one looked and smelled clean. The kids enjoyed playing there. read more
