My coworkers and I placed a large order for our staff and teachers and came to pick it up on June 30 at around 10:50 a.m. There were two employees working: a younger woman and an older, skinny man. The younger woman greeted us and asked how she could help. We told her we were picking up a large order with about 15 meals. The man immediately responded with something along the lines of, "Yeah, I figured," in a very dismissive and rude tone. Trying to move past that, I asked the younger employee if I could borrow a Sharpie so we could label the drink cups with everyone's names. When I looked over at the man, I saw him sigh and act visibly annoyed, as if we were inconveniencing him just by asking. What bothered me the most was that while we were packing the drinks, two white, blue-collar workers came in. His attitude changed instantly. He was friendly and polite with them, while he had been cold and rude toward us the entire time. When I finished using the Sharpie, I noticed they were both busy, so I simply set it on the counter. The man came over, grabbed it aggressively, handed it to the younger employee, and sarcastically said, "Here's your Sharpie back." Large orders are part of working in food service. If preparing them is frustrating, that shouldn't be taken out on customers. Everyone deserves to be treated with the same level of respect and courtesy. I appreciate the younger employee for remaining polite and helpful, but the older man's attitude made what should have been a simple pickup an unpleasant experience. read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Wingstop, 734 Mangrove Ave in Chico. Wingstop hands out "free meal" reward coupons to kids through schools to celebrate hard work and achievement, then refuses to honor them in store because of a "new policy" that is nowhere listed on the coupon. We were told it had to be redeemed online only. Then the code didn't even work. So let's be clear: kids work hard, earn rewards through school programs, show up excited to redeem them, and leave disappointed because of undisclosed restrictions and broken redemption systems. If you change the rules, update the coupons. Don't use schools and children as a marketing tool while putting barriers in place to prevent redemption. This isn't about the dollar value of wings. It's about kids earning rewards and businesses honoring what they hand out. Shame on Wingstop at 734 Mangrove Ave. Families deserve better. read more

We thought we were ordering all classic wings but apparently we inadvertently ordered boneless wings. The menu is confusing when ordering mix and match so it's easy to click on a wrong item which is apparently what we did. Boneless wings had sooooo much crust on them and they tasted not like wings but rather like chicken breast pieces. We did order (correctly) additional 5 pieces of wings. Overall all of the order was too dry as if overcooked and incredibly salty to the point where it was difficult to enjoy the flavors we ordered. Needles to say, we couldn't even finish it so part of it went to garbage. It will be a while before we give this place another chance if at all....we had eaten from wing stop in the past and always enjoyed the food, so this latest experience was the worst by far. read more

Chris and Mason are standout employees they had great customer service and strived to help others. Chris was excellent help to a couple. I didn't speak English and took time to translate with Google so they get the same customer service as everyone else. It was extremely busy, but service was still fast and consistent. I think 2 is as good as I can go. Food was fine. Nothing to write home about. 20 bucks fed my daughter and I - 5 wings each and big plate of fries. Wings were decent size. Crispy. Their traditional hot was tangy, less buttery than buffalo. Non breaded isn't my fave. French fries are skin on. Good. But way too many skin only. 20mins seems to be the default, not sure you can cook chicken any faster. Also means we got something fresh. But the place is pretty gross. Dark. Dingy. I had a draft of a review on Wingstop a few years ago on an old account but never finished the review but I want to stop as many people as possible from going to this awful establishment as possible so I'm going to rewrite this review. This was in 2022-2023(so the criticism towards employees may not still be accurate). I went to Wingstop, if you've been going to this specific Wingstop for a while you know it's a shell of its old self. It used to be a 50% chance of it tasting good now it's 0. I still went because I had some loyalty towards this place I once kinda liked. And I just wanted two voodoo fries cuz that's the only item that tastes okay. So I order that and the cashier told me it was going to be a a 37 minute wait. If you've been to Wingstop you know to add atleast 15 minutes. They're understaffed and hire the mentally challenged. World full of philosophy and English majors and they decide to hire the dumbest bunch. I digress, for some reason I was in a positive mood and assumed that it was gonna actually be around 37 minutes which was already cutting it close to I'm taking my 12 dollars elsewhere territory. I wanted to chew some time up, and went to Safeway next door. Grabbed a 2 liter of root beer because I had issues. Then I sat in my car for like 20 minutes or so until about 30 minutes was up. And let's skip like an hour cuz yep I am able to skip an hour in a story about waiting for 2 orders of French fries from Wingstop. And I'm not the only one waiting. Theres dozens of people waiting all saying how they were told that their food was supposed to be done an hour ago like myself. Another 30ish minutes go by and now people who were behind me were getting their food so I knew something had to be up. I am decently patient so I did wait an extra 15 minutes but then I finally went up and just asked them "can I have my money back, I don't even need the food". I was responded with no reply because those are the type of people that work at Wingstop apparently. He eventually got his manager. Who basically told me no. Because waiting an extra 2 hours of your food apparently isnt enough for a refund. But they do atleast start my order. Clearly messed up when making my order and I got my food in total, 2 hours and 37 minutes after I had ordered, when I was told a 37 minute wait. I wish I had the receipt for proof. And guess what they gave me because I had to wait a long for my food. You guessed it, nothing. I got a "sorry for long wait". Even if I had been a Karen and bugged them about my order and they noticed that they messed up in the process of creating my order it would have been no less than 2 hours of waiting. I get it fast foods understaffed. But atleast be honest with your customers so they don't waste their entire evening. Food was like a 6/10 at best too. I hate when I feel the need to go out of my way to leave a bad yelp review. It doesn't happen often but unfortunately tonight I had a less than pleasant experience at Wingstop which was completely avoidable on their part so I feel I should bring it to their attention. Let me start by saying we love Wingstop and order for pickup often, at least a few times a month. Tonight, I picked up the order and noticed it was only 1 bag when it's usually 2 but didn't think much of it because I knew we had ordered less food than usual. When I arrived and explained the situation the old guy with a braid just looked at me like I was an idiot. Then he asked why I would just bring the tag back and not the whole order. No sorry for this inconvenience, sorry you had to drive across town for a second time because we forgot part of your order. I told him well sir, my family was hungry and it's late and I was just in here so I assumed you know that you guys would just make it right and not interrogate me like I'm trying to scam for some free corn. Like really? He asked me if I was sure it wasn't in the first bag.... Yep I definitely checked before I drove all the way back here. He basically said he would let it slide this time but next time I would need to bring back the entire order. I said yeah ok gotcha. I wanted to say well hopefully next time you can just get the order correct and then I won't have to come back a second time at all. In the end the girl that was working did apologize and she was lovely and they gave me the order of corn that they had forgotten but I was really put off by that whole interaction. Our kids wanted to try out the place due to it going viral on Tik Tok. Wait time took awhile. 25+ minutes. Inside could use an update. Felt dark and old. Was very disappointed in the fries. Their ranch dressing was really good! But if you wanted to purchase extra, it was $1.99 each and idk if that's even worth it. Flavor of wings were only ok. The Cajun corn was really good. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with the kindest energy, made some awesome menu recommendations, and honestly made me feel like I was a VIP. Now let's talk about the food -- unreal. The wings were perfectly crispy, saucy in all the right ways, and downright addictive. Fries? Golden and seasoned to perfection. PLEASE READ. I've had semi-decent experiences with this store before, sometimes my order has been messed up or late but this experience makes me never want to return. I ordered online and tried to cancel it but the website wouldn't let me, so I called the store. They answered the first time and said they couldn't cancel it because their online services were down and told me to call them back. When I called a second time, they said they'd let me talk to the manager if I was dining being put on hold for "2 to 3 minutes" but instead I was put on hold for about 15 MINUTES only to be hung up on without answering. I just assumed it was some kind of mistake, but it still sucked because they were a little spicy and the children did not want them. But the absolute worse was the chicken.
