A really large restaurant partially due to square footage but also really high ceilings. It feels spacious and I feel like it would still be a nice environment even if they were running near capacity. We went for a late lunch on a weekday and there was plenty of seating. The food: Brewer's Pizza - thin slice pizza with char on a nice bubbly crust. High quality toppings. Big Pretzel - slightly chewy outside, fluffy inside. It's up there as one of the best pretzels I've had. Beer cheese sauce is great and the three beer mustards are a fun thing to try. Fish and Chips - I snagged a bite from my kid, but this was fantastic. Super crispy crust and tender fish. Broccoli Mac & Cheese - snagged a bite from my other kid. It's got the creamy cheese and the cheesy cheese. Hits the spot. Elote Salad - what makes this dish is the fresh corn. Mixed greens and the different sauces make it flavorful. My only knock on the dish was a whole tostada in ours which wasn't the freshest. Shout out to our friendly server, Destiny, who got us everything we needed including plates for sharing even before we asked. Overall, the food is really good and probably the best quality when compared to other brewery restaurants. I didn't even talk about the main reason for coming here - beer. They have a big selection and you're able to get half pints for $3, which is great for trying out more beers.

We made a pit stop here for lunch while driving through Chico, and it was well worth it! Sierra Nevada Brewery had been on my list for a while, and it definitely didn't disappoint. We ordered the Cowboy Smash Burger and the Chicken Bacon Pesto Pizza. Both were delicious and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The brewery itself is beautiful, and it was fun walking around and exploring the grounds after our meal. Great food, great atmosphere, and a place I'd happily visit again!

Had a reservation for 6 and seated right on time. Staff seemed busy and service was fine, not overly attentive but we had everything we needed. Food was also fine. The fries were my favorite part and there is definitely something for everyone on the menu. The pale ale mustard was also so good!

It doesn't get better than making the drive to the mothership in Chico. Been drinking Sierra Nevada since before cell phones and still drinking it. Coming to the brewery is an homage to craft brewing ever since Fritz sold (out) Anchor Steam only Ken Grossman remains keeping tradition going and innovating from their sustainability practices from water to power Sierra is an industry leader. The craft beer is amazing and the pub food matches. Coming to the mothership is like Beer Disneyland. thank you SNBC

If you're on a brewery tour and find yourself hungry, the on site restaurant and taproom is also worth a visit! Located in the main building, you'll be greeted at the host stand right inside. It's a large dining room with old bar along the right side. They also have outdoor seating too. The menu is big, with lots of food and drink selections. We all ordered different things; the pretzel & beer cheese, and mezze platter were my highlights besides of course the beer. Our server was wonderful, as was manager Joe who is always a pleasure to see. I wish I would've had more time here, but will just have to come back!

Fun place to come when in Chico. Wish they had sour beers though. Lotta food options. We got a bbq pizza and salmon tacos. I enjoyed the otra vez beer. Closest thing to a sour lol we sat at the bar so we wouldn't need to wait in a long line for a table. Dog friendly.

Okayyyyyy Sierra Nevada changing up the Caesar salad to a Calamari Caesar salad! 10/10 great flavors, garlic breath on point, but who cares. Salad had great crunch and overall great flavors. They still have the Caesar Salad on menu too!

Got here on a Monday around 7pm dinner time and only had to wait about 10min. Our server was Shane, and he was very helpful and attentive. The staff seem friendly. The taproom was busy and full of people but there was also some good empty spaces. We ordered a flight of beer and the $5beer of week pale ale that was *chefs kiss*. For food, we had the cowboy burger split in half- so much flavor and a nice kick with the jalepenos. We also ordered the brewers pizza- wood fire pizza and that also packed a flavor punch. The cheese pull on that was crazy! The mushrooms tasted fresh and they don't skimp on the meats! Inside was pretty loud but was able to hear each other from across the table. Will come again!

Celebrated my daughter's 20th, food was delicious and fresh! Waitress was good, it was a little loud but over all satisfied with this place!

    Inside dining. Fun and festive

Katie the hostess was fabulous! The browsers pizza was outstanding. Lots of pepperoni and an excellent crust. Will order it each time I had the pills beer which I loved. Light and crisp Smash burger was ok. Flavor was good just a little overcooked. But that's how smash burgers go Salmon was ok. But the potatoes were amazing. The only thing disappointing was the hazy little butternut salad. The butternut squash was cut too tiny. And the candied walnuts were not good. Mostly because I don't like walnuts. Would be better with candied pecans. Loved all the beer options Fun atmosphere! Will come back

Refueling after a hike in Oroville and been wanting to visit! Great customer service with large open spaces inside the restaurant . Large menu items, great portion size and reasonable price !! Unfortunately our food came out a bit cold! The burger was cooked medium rare the way we requested , juicy and flavored ! Fish and chips was a bit oily for us soaking some of the fries (they do have good salted fries ) but I do love the side salad really fresh ! Pizza had great flavor , abundant of toppings but the crust was a little on the soggy side , otherwise great selection of beers on tap!! Worth a visit if you haven't !

I met a friend for an early dinner before my son's soccer game at the university. She is from Chico so she recommended we meet at Sierra Nevada. I arrived a little earlier than her and was seated at a table. The server came over and offered me a drink. My friend arrived and we both knew what we wanted to order so our server took our order The food came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Fish N Chips and she got the Malted Balsamic Salad with Chicken. My dinner was tasty. There were only 2 pieces of fish and the fries weren't super crispy. The breading in the fish was great. I have always had fish n chips plates with 3 pieces of fish. For the price, I think there should have been 3. The salad was pretty hefty and looked tasty! I thought it would be louder in the restaurant, but we were able to have our conversation and it wasn't too bad. The restaurant was clean and open and bright. Now that my son is attending school in Chico I plan to explore as many restaurants as possible! I'm not a beer drinker and with the prices here, I don't know that I'll be back any time soon.

When you you first walk into main dining area, it's enormous, and has just about everything done in wood. The place was bustling with a couple hundred diners and lots of staff roving the room. All of the food for four of us was great, with good portions. There's a lot more to see than just the restaurant.

Ask the Community - Sierra Nevada Taproom & Restaurant

    Can kids go?

Yes kids are welcome in the dining room

Is wine available with your meal?

Yes! Red & White, Beer obviously ☺️ No mixed drinks. Love this place, never disappoints!

Is there any outside dog friendly seating for dining?

Yup! The outdoor patio is perfect for your leashed and well behaved fur babies.

With the end of the year upon us, is there any chance dine-in will be open again soon?

We appreciate how eager guests are to return to the Taprooms but we don't have a firm reopening date to share at this time. We hope to welcome you back for a beer in the near future.

    Is dine in open?

Thanks for reaching out Jonnie. We are only open for curbside takeout of food and beer at this time. This will be the case through the end of the year.

    Any gluten-free beers here?

We do have a few options. We have Stainge Beast Hard Kombucha in three flavors and a Hopped Hard Seltzer that are both gluten-free. We also have Sufferfest's FKT (Fastest Known Time) Pale Ale which is Gluten reduced (it does contain gluten). We are…

    When is happy hour?

    There isn't.

Do they allow dogs on the outside patio?

Yes they do, but dogs must be well-mannered and on a leash. Service dogs are fine inside.

I see Sierra Nevada is on Yelp as GF restaurant. What items on the menu can I depend on that are 100% GF?

The menu changes every week. They do always have gluten-free options. Ask your server, they are usually very knowledgeable about all the options on the menu.

Our server was prompt, polite, and friendly, which we appreciated. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with lots of natural light and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd describe it as "Chico nice" -- casual and trendy, but not fine dining or especially refined service. The food was okay to good, but nothing memorable. We ordered the avocado toast, chicken sandwich, a beer, and a sweet drink, and the total came to about $72. Everything was perfectly fine, just not the kind of food or experience that would make me want to return, especially for a birthday celebration. Overall, it's a decent spot for a casual lunch, but it didn't feel particularly special for the price.

We had kids with us, so we got there an hour before it became 21+. Everyone was friendly, the food came pretty quick relative to how hopping it was. We ordered: Pho-rench dip (w/fries)--I think this was a DDD sandwich, so it's not some hidden gem, but it was super tasty. You cannot go wrong. The slight lime-iness of the dipping broth really kicked it into turbo. Also, we all likes the steak fries--a note on that later. Chicken Cheese Steak (w/fries)--my wife loved it. I tried a bite, and it was great--a little mushroom-forward, but we like that. Mac and Cheese--do not be fooled by the slightly smaller bowl, it is very filling. My son can eat his birth weight in pasta, and he had to tap out! I tried a bite--it was creamy (not grainy at all), and was just the right amount of salty and cheese-funky. Grilled cheese and tomato soup (w/fries)--perhaps the least successful for my family, but only because my daughter prefers a smoky/spicy tomato soup, and this was more on the sweet side. The griled cheese was of the "crispy cheese on the outside" ilk, which my daughter thought was really good. So, totally would go again. IMPORTANT NOTE (to people traveling through Chico, or who don't want to take leftovers)--the sandwiches are pretty big, and the add-on fry order is also sizeable. If we were going again tomorrow, we would either order 1 fry instead of 3. Or split a sandwich. Very very good pub.

When the waiter came by I let them know I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen in over a year and we were planning a long lunch. It was a Saturday afternoon and not busy. My guest arrived and the sever didn't come back for at least 10 min. But ok. No biggie. We ordered a soda and an iced tea. When those arrived we ordered food. My tacos came quickly and then we sat, looking at my food while we waited for the other entrée, the burger. 10 minutes later it shows up served by another server, no explanation or even acknowledgement that it took 10 minutes between me being served and my companion being served. Anyway our server was MIA for the rest of our stay. No offer of a refill for our beverages, no asking if the food was ok. Nothing. We stayed about 2 hours total and my normal policy is to double the tip because I have taken a table for about twice as long as normal. Unfortunately service was sub par. Oh and tea was incredibly strong not in a good way.
