Went to Wing Stop for lunch today. Overall i gave my visit a 3/5. The wings were pretty good, i chose to go with a 10piece combo, bone in, with the new Korean BBQ flavor, and mango habanero for the other 5. the Korean Spicy BBQ were not spicy at all, but the flavor was good. The mango habanero, which is my go-to flavor for wings pretty much anywhere i go that has them, were average. They were nowhere near as spicy as anything with habanero should be. The combo came with fries and a drink. The fries were pretty atrocious - soggy and mushy. The only flavor that came through on the fries was an overwhelming sweetness from the sugar they put on them (im guessing). For the nearly 13$ after tax for this meal, id expect more. Also the iced tea at this place is awful, you'd might as well be getting water. read more

Best wings in town! Ordered 20 wings and 2 large fries online on a 6 pm Friday night. Delivered to my front door in less than 40 minutes as the app said. Fantastic traditional and crispy boneless wings along with amazing fries. Definitely will be ordering this way again for convenience. There were children in the dining room also wincing at the volume. I walked to the counter and asked if the music could please be turned down. I was told by the teen/early 20's employee the music volume is preset and could not be turned down. I asked if it could then be turned off so we could enjoy a conversation and meal. I was told they would be fired if the owner came in and the music was off. I asked that my order be cancelled and money returned. The cashier called the manager/owner to inform of the request to return my money. Clearly, they could have called for "permission" to lower the volume. The owner must not be concerned about filling tables or making sales!! I was given a refund and walked out in search of a pleasant dining experience. Do NOT patronize this location. There has been 3 occasions where they have forgotten my fries and ranch. And when you call them back they tell you next time you order you will get a free fry since they didn't include it. Everytime I call I get put on hold. The wings are barely sauced half the time and overcooked 6/10 times. I've tried multiple times and disappointed in all of them. I continue ordering because it is the only wing spot close and my wife likes them. I maybe a harsh critic but oh well. The cashiers usually stressed to the max and angry. To start, I've never had wing stop in my life. I have had no prior experience with this place at all, but for my first time going, I can assure you, I will never be back. Service was good but the food was nauseating! By awful I actually mean, THE SINGLE WORST WINGS I HAVE EVER TASTED! FOOD WAS AMAZING.... I ordered our food online because I know it would take a little bit... it was a Friday night... I was told 16-21min when I ordered... however it was about 45-50 when it was all said and done... okay that's fine I'll wait for good food... however as someone that worked in a Wingstop at one time and also is in customer service the rest of my experience was HORRIBLE!!!!! We will start with when I walked in the door... there where a few people in line so I when to the side counter to talk to the very polite gentleman that was helping guest with to go orders. I told him I had an order online he asked what was me my name. And the girl that was working at the counter was ABSOLUTELY out of control. She interrupted him and I and said I didn't pay. My Boyfriend, 8 year old daughter and myself were waiting and the same girl was being so loud and obnoxious people were walking in that where "black" and she was like "hey Nigger" like hello my 8 year daughter is sitting here. I visited Wing Stop tonight after calling in my order. They put me down for the wrong thing however, I did not notice until I got home since they didn't read my order back to me. I live about 25 minutes away from this store, so I called back and told them politely my order was wrong and that I wanted it fixed. They told me no, that person took my order and specifically heard me say the wrong thing. I told them to pull up my order history and the manager refused to do so. Is someone afraid of being wrong? He then said he had to make a call to see what he could do, hung up on me, and didn't call back. After all was said and done, I'm out $20 for my 30 wings that will not be eaten in my house, I was hung up on three times, and was STILL not given the correct corporate number... Absolutely terrible in every way! Brief story behind my experience: I called the restaurant to place a pick up order and was placed on hold for 7 minutes - I felt this was a bit excessive, so I decided to place my order online=even worse idea. They never pulled my online order - I asked what would be done for the inconvenience and she offered me a free soft drink... I let her know that wasn't good enough and was then offered a free side item... after 30... Yes 30 minutes of waiting past my quoted "ready time" I let the manager know that it was insulting that wasting 30 minutes of my time was worth $2.99 - I ordered online to avoid waiting or lines... I got both... I asked to have my card refunded and she said that a 3rd party processes the orders.. I left my information to discuss with owner or GM and was never contacted. Called a few days later and left my infomation again and never contacted. Then had to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge. Poor Customer Service +Incompetent Staff (Including Management) = BAD BUSINESS The good news is that I have a rather large influence within the local community and have made it a point to let others know about my poor experience - colleagues and business partners ask where to go in Decatur for lunch and dinner and I always include avoiding Wingstop! I haven't been to wing stop for a few years due to past reviews and a few not so pleasant visits in my past, grumpy employees with attitude, but I must say tonight I was really craving wings so we thought we'd give it a whirl. The wings were nice and meaty, great flavors, cooked perfectly and the employees that were working were wonderful. It was close to closing time when I picked up my order because I just got off work myself, they were friendly, smiling and very courteous. I'm so happy to have a great experience. I ordered 30 wings and several orders of various fries last night for carry out. The wings were ordered Xtra crunchy and they weren't cooked that way. The thing that irritated me the most though was after a 40 minute round-trip drive to pick up the food. I got home to see they forgot one of the orders of fries. I thought no problem I'll just call and let them know and I'll get my money back but no, they don't work that way. I was told I could either drive back and pick up the missing item (another 40 minute round-trip journey) or I could get a store credit but they wouldn't give me my money back. My favorite wing place in town - food is way better than Buffalo Wild Wings. My favorite are the sweet barbecue and the garlic parmesan. The place looks nice but is set up more for carry out than dine in. A family could sit comfortably together but a larger party (15+) would be impractical There fries are seasoned with a little sugar which gives them a very unique flavor - good unique. We placed a carry out order, after picking it up and arriving home, the only thing correct was fries. We called the store and took the order back, when my wife brought it back home, I think they just put the wrong order back in the oil. The fries were burnt, the chicken tasted like they just threw them back in the fryer to try and get the lemon pepper seasoning off them and then put the hot sauce on them. Yes lemon pepper/ hot wings suck, glad to see they are concerned about customer satisfaction with their products. I was so hoping this place would be good. One of the few things I miss about living further south is Beef O'Brady's and their garlic Parmesan wings, so decided to give this place s try and ordered some boneless garlic parm wings for a later pickup. What I got were some pieces of dry chicken with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on them and my side order was completely cold. Wingstop in Decatur IL...Fairview Plaza...I literally spend $150 per week at this establishment. I order 100 wings for the football game at a friend's house. Get there, open the boxes, and 40 of the wings look like this. They taste worse than they look...I call the store and they tell me nothing can be done. I'm assuming they will change thier mind when I get back there and show them what the wings look like. To my complete astonishment, they stick with no help for me. The owner Eddie gets on the phone and tells me he will not do anything for me. I explain that customer service is huge in retail, and this is unacceptable. He tells me, and I quote from the owner, " Drop your attitude or I'm not giving you shit!" I have been a fan of wingstop for some years now although in this recent year the service has been unreal. The employees are only there for their own interest and not pleasing for the customers. With that beening said the food doesnt taste the same either.
