I mean you can't really mess up fried chicken outside of leaving ounces of oil inside the container with your wings I guess that happens when you're rushing to get your customers order out because this location is never on time when you order from the app it'll tell you your order will be ready in about 20 to 35 minutes each time I've been here it's never been ready and I've always had to wait an additonal 10-15 mins . Placed on online order for pickup. Order was ready at the time given. Walked up and grabbed my to go back, not much of an interaction with staff. It wasn't busy inside nor crowded with people waiting, it looked like most of the orders were for pick up. Surprisingly the music wasn't loud. We weren't given any utensils, we noticed as we were still in the parking lot so we were able to walk back to grab them. As for the food we wanted to try the new chicken sandwiches (mango habanero). They were okay, nothing special. They were cooked perfectly but just not worth the hype. We ordered the voodoo fries which never fail, they're pretty flavorful. Can I give this place zero stars?! What has happened to you wingstop? The quality is completely diminished. The wings are anorexic and drenched in oil. They're also overly cooked so you can barely get any meat out of them. The fries are always soggy and again drenched in oil. Ordered my wife's and my dinner. Said it would take 33 to 38 minutes. To be ready for pick up. Received my order and started the drive home. I live 9 blocks from this establishment. The wings that were supposed to have sauce on them were in their container, with the sauce on the bottom of the container. They weren't that hot when we started dinner. The seasoned fries were limp and warm. On the way home I noticed the bag was wet. The sauced wings when I opened the bag was tilted and the container was not closed. Fries were soggy and borderline cold. Cheese fries were actually seasoned fries with a cup of cheese. Rolls were smothered in butter yet incredibly stale and dry. Carrot sticks and ranch dressing did not disappoint. When I arrived 20 minutes later my order wasn't ready and due to COVID 19 I was asked to wait in my vehicle. Totally understandable. This place is a joke. We came in at 11:30 am on Tuesday, 8/13/19 and I regret stepping foot into this establishment. No ice at all, one customer told the guy working front counter and he annoyingly responded "I'm going to refill it when I get a chance." I've worked in the customer service industry for years and that's not how you respond to your customers. You apologize for an inconvenience and you do it with a smile. Also there was no soda in the machine..the selection was very limited. Everything was diet or zero. Every single option was empty but the diet and zero. Store isn't very clean. I've seen 2 trays sitting on two different tables for past 20 minutes.. the guy working has walked past them twice and hasn't bothered to remove them. Condiment station where you get your utensils and straws is messy and unorganized. Who ever runs this establishment needs to retrain it's employees. Maybe I'm being so judgmental because of working in a food establishment but it's really not that difficult to keep items stocked and regularly check what needs to be refilled, I can understand 1-2 items missing but to only have diet options is ridiculous. Will never order from wing stop again. After waiting 20 extra minutes from online app prep time(after getting told by the same associate several times "10 more minutes"). I get home and realized I received wrong wings (same flavor). When I went for my drink (in this location after receiving my order)at the soda machine, it was disgusting! The soda machine was covered in old soda and was clearly neglected. But first, I went for ice for my large drink, to my surprise they were out of ice. I purchased a meal for 17+ dollars(8 boneless wings fries drink combo) and didn't even get 8 wings. I received 3 bbq boneless wings and 4 mild boneless wings. I would expect more from a take out place that you have to pay 17+ dollars for some wings combo. I will advise anyone who wants wings do not go to this location (imperial beach, CA) or more over, buy Wingstop. Way to expensive for wings that are not even fully covered in sauce! I mean come'on, you gave me boneless wings(mistakenly) the least you can do is cover my chicken with more sauce. I will honestly not recommend friends and family to not pay for these poorly prepared wings. I love wings but if you have to pay this much for wings i expected so much more.
