Scotty's service was exceptional. We were two families and our server took great care of us from the moment we arrived. She seated us on the patio so we could have our own space, which made it easy for the adults to enjoy our conversation while the younger boys sat at the counter overlooking the parking lot, right next to our table. It was the perfect setup. What really stood out was her attentiveness. She noticed my friend struggling with her hair and offered her a brand new hair tie. She mentioned she always keeps a pack on hand just in case someone needs one. It was such a thoughtful gesture and one of those little things that makes a dining experience memorable. The food was definitely flavorful. I ordered the bacon burger, and the way they seasoned it had every bite bursting with flavor. The French fries were perfectly crispy. That said, I do think the value fell a little short for the price. The burger was on the smaller side and the fries were an extra charge. Even so, the flavor made up for it. My hubby ordered the BBQ Chopped Cheese and loved the secret sauce it was drenched in. He said it reminded him a Philly cheese steak but even better. So the food is good. Fries are crispy. Burger patties are crispy. It's somewhat fast to get your food. Unfortunately the two times I've been, the order has been messed up in some way that's just odd. Both times it's been related to toppings. I mean it isn't difficult, especially when the order is repeated back, you know the person taking it heard right and wrote it down correctly. Apparently I gotta provide me own cheese for a cheeseburger. I suppose we could have ate in, as opposed to takeout, but then I'd have paid a tip (again) to ensure what I paid $40 for was correct. Scotty B's has great burgers and great service. The burgers are flavorful, juicy and cheesy and they've got a lot of unique options on the menu. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the fried pickles- they had some kind of cinnamon-y flavor I didn't care for. There was only one server at the time of my visit but it didn't affect service at all, he was welcoming and engaging with every guest I could see. The only downside is pricing. I got two burgers (not especially big ones, fries not included), one order of fried pickles and water and the bill came out to $40-something which went up to $50-something with a 20% tip. Definitely more of a pricey option for burgers but the quality is good and there isn't much to complain about otherwise. read more

Came here Saturday night and wasn't too busy. Pretty basic menu nothing to over the top with the exception of a steak that's listed as market price. Service is pretty good as they all seem to help each other out, for a basic burger it tasted better than average. I get inflation is real but $25 for 10 wings is a little insane. Great establishment that recently moved to a great spot across the street from the Pacific Ocean. Parking is challenging during beach hours but public parking lots are within 3 blocks. They are know for good burgers but I ordered the bazooka chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream which was small yet delicious. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The owner himself came to me to get my hockey game and basketball game side by side at the bar. We did selfies and just had fun. They are open every day usually until midnight. Drove by the gem a few times and noticed a new spot in IB. Today we decided to get some good lunch. I had a good feeling this place was gonna be a hit. Let me just say these are some of the best french fries ive ever had! The burger was so well put together. The bun was even toasted !!! Who else does that? It was so good and the wings as well. So many burgers that it took me awhile to try the Chicken Salad...but I'm glad I did! It was super delicious with house made cilantro jalapeno dressing which was only a little spicy. The chicken with jerk seasoning was SO good! And a generous portion. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. We'd never been here before and were hungry for lunch so we thought we'd give it a try. We absolutely loved this place! The whole staff was very sweet and attentive. We were seated and hadn't gotten our menus yet and one of the other servers made sure we'd been helped. The inside was decorated very nice and everything was clean. There are some video games toward the back too. The food did not disappoint. I got the OG Double Scotty Burger. It's not a smash burger but had two pretty thick patties that also had a good char and crisp to them. The amount of garlic aioli they put on it was perfect. I tried a bite of The Mighty Max and it was really good too. The pulled pork had a good Smokey flavor and the bbq sauce was good too. The mac and cheese was creamy and they gave a good sized portion. The fries were some of my favorite I've ever had. Everything was seasoned and cooked soooo well. We're excited to bring other people here an to come back again. Ooohhh, delicious. I got the spicy one. The patties are juicy and the flavor is divine. They put garlic aioli on every burger, and I am definitely not complaining about that. The only problem is they're a tad small. Also, I wish the bun was thicker. Thankfully, I also ordered the BBQ hush puppies, and they were transcendent. Food was very disappointing. Homemade potato chips were burned but were raw on the inside. BBQ chicken patty was small and dry in a large boring white bun. BBQ pork was drowning in sauce and was a small serving in a large bun. It required a napkin to wipe off the excess. The twinkies things were so amazing! Salads were good too. I ordered carry out and they packed the salads already mixed with the dressing which was unfortunate as they got soggy before we got to eat them. Just ate here and I'd have to say for a new burger joint I would never expect to eat such nasty, greasy mashed up meat yall would call a burger. The chocolate milkshake was literally Hershey chocolate syrup and the ketchup was some knockoff brand that's top is easily removable. Not saying the service was too bad but expecting a 18% tip after charging 11 dollars for nasty terrible cream chocolate slop is pretty disgraceful and yall should be closed. We visited their location in Imperial Beach recently. The burgers are delicious and their French fries are nicely seasoned (opposed to just salted). Overall food is mid, there is no physical beer list, which is disappointing because they have a decent amount of taps, so our server had to run back to the bar to give us a list of the beer off memory. My main complaint was ordering the IB twinkies I mean that really sent me over the edge given they were the 4 of the smallest jalapeños I've ever seen in my life the server said between 4 and 5 with each order and we got two orders. Mind you it was $22 EACH order. I really wish I had taken a picture. On top of the very disappointing appetizer, once our food was delivered our server did not come to check on us as we all had empty cups. When one member of our table went to the bar to ask a staff member for help ordering refills, she stated we were meant to get in line or order with our server solely.
