This Winn Dixie seemed like a senior citizen hang out center with everything moving at slow motion. Needed to to see if they had the machine that turns your large bags of pennies into cash for a small fee instead of the exhausting hand rolling, and they did, but there were too many red lights indicating broken or something else. Winn Dixie is a good option when it comes to finding what you need at an affordable price, but the customer service here is pretty bad. Any time I've asked for help with anything, the employees act like I'm giving them the biggest inconvenience of their entire lives. I get that working at a grocery store isn't the most exciting thing in the world, but when a customer asks for help because something rang up incorrectly on self checkout, it's not hard to put down your phone for a second and help without acting like they're interrupting something. They do have good sales, and I appreciate the Winn Dixie app providing coupons and the option to see the following week's ads ahead of time. It allows you to plan ahead. read more

The best thing is to check their weekly flyer for specials and BOGO, that's the best value for your buck. This store has ample parking in front but the inside is about the same as all the other ones in the area. I recently bought a box of Barilla Spaghetti from this Winn Dixie. Recent as in an hour ago. Poured the pasta in the bowl and the pasta and a bunch of brown insects came out of the box. When I called the store the first thing the lady asked me was if I have pictures (like this is something people lie about to get a free box of spaghetti). On the phone she sounded like she could care less. So 1 on customer service and empathy. 1 on supply chain. If there are bugs living in boxed but not sealed food packaging there are some major supply chain issues that Winn Dixie is ignoring. Beware going here. Only buy bagged items. read more

I started going to Winn-Dixie bc this location is very close to my apartment. If you want a shopping experience that is low key and not crowded, this is your place. I tend to to here if i need the basics like vegetables, pasta, oatmeal, etc. Keep in mind this is not the store if you want specialty items or all your items. Like I can never find good coffee creamer here. I know odd. But overall I enjoy shopping here. They have great coupons! Make sure you get a rewards card and download the app to clip them! read more

I got off of work, checked the hours online and it said they close at midnight. So I rushed all the way over there since I needed something important, walked up and the door was closed. On the window it says they close at 11. Why would you not update the online hours? I've never been much of a fan of any super market in general as I tend to divide things up since I've found some markets to have certain specific items I consider better than other markets without any one single market being the best in all things. I've also never been much of a fan of Winn Dixie, generally preferring Publix and considering other big chains like Whole Foods and Fresh Markets as falling into a category separate from what I consider to be the ordinary, general super market. Of the Winn Dixie markets I've visited, I've found this particular one to be one of the best and if they have one outstanding item it's their meat section. Since I do my own dry aging in which I lose nearly a third of the weight plus having to trim off the outer dried portions, I purchase thick cuts which I've always found readily available to me at this location as well as being of rather good quality for the dollar. Over all, this location of Winn Dixie is relatively new, superior in layout with all of their items easy to locate and well displayed, particularly with reference to produce. So, though it's a stretch for me to say I'm a fan of the place, generally preferring Publix and most often purchasing my meats from custom butcher shops such as Smitty's, I'm going Four Stars for what it is, a general chain supermarket, but more particularly for this location. read more

This is my new Winn Dixie since they closed the one on Dania Beach Boulevard and I need a Grocery store North East of Sheridan. This Winn Dixie is located in Victoria Park shopping center. Victoria Park is one of the wealthiest sections of Ft. Lauderdale. However like Hollywood the most desirable areas also brings the other extremes. Every time I come to this store I get shaked down for money. I truly wish they would have security in the parking lot and inside the store. But they don't so I hold on to my purse that much tighter and stay on guard. It is a miserable way to shop and live. This location has a nice bakery,deli, and produce sections. It is a bit smaller in scale but I find everything I need except my husbands Michelob Light. It isn't in their seperate from the main store Liquor Store either. I am hopeful they will carry in the future like they do in the other Winn Dixie locations. read more

Eh, reminds me of Randall's (the priciest of the "regular" grocery store chains of Texas), where everything is more expensive than you expect and using the member's card to score some sale prices is the only way to feel better about shopping here. My mission this trip was a 12 pack of sparkling water and a tube of an embarrassing OTC medicine that most ladies who have ever carried a heavy baby in their wombs (and many men also) know & use. It took 10 minutes to locate the sparkling water, which was not near the soft drinks or the water, but rather on an end-cap where no one would ever find it. Next stop, the small pharmacy aisle, which had none of the particular medicine I needed stocked anywhere around similar products for digestive system difficulties. I asked the pharmacist, and he assured me that it was in fact on that aisle. Searched again, no luck. I happened to catch a friendly looking stocker woman and asked where to find "it;" she directed me to some place way down the aisle far from anything else with common characteristics. Alright, on to the next thing. I needed some nail polish remover, preferably in a small bottle, since I'd only get about 2 uses from it before I'd have to leave it behind in the hotel. Once again, I searched all around the manicure & pedicure supplies, to no avail. The same staff person came through the aisle and I asked where to find this product -- guess what! It was on another end cap, facing the refrigerated meat section. Yep, that's just where most people would look.... The one saving grace of the store was the friendly staff members, down to the checker who swiped a membership card for me to ensure I got the meager discounts available. Next time I'm in town (and now that I have my bearings about where everything is), I'll try Publix and see if I have a better experience at a more reasonable price point. read more

I go to this Winn Dixie out of convenience. It has been remodeled. They do not have a wide selection of products like a Publix has. The bakery items are good...especially the chocolate cake. they have self checkout. I do like the rewards program for fuel perks. It is difficult to find staff to help you. The parking is easy because it is never super busy. For basic groceries this place is great. However, if you are making a recipe that requires unique ingredients, they may not have it. They also don't have as many brands to choose from. read more

They've really upgraded this store a lot in response to wealthier clientele moving in this area with all the new apartment complexes. The store is much cleaner and is stocked really well. It just looks 10x better than it used to and they have both cheaper products as well as upscale stuff. I only go to Fresh Market down the street now for the meat/seafood. read more

I had not been to winn dixie in years as there are 5 Publix , a Lucky's market (until last week) and an aldi's all with a 2 mile radius of my home. Winn Dixie is kinda out of the way. Anyway, since I got this coupon, I figured I would try it out... well, #1, it looks like the store has seen better days... #2, they had cold chicken (8 pieces) for $5 with the winn dixie card and $1 off on the package($ 4 for 8 pieces... can't beat that ). Also Saying freshness and satisfaction guaranteed... WRONG!! This was the WORST chicken ive EVER had... if it wasnt only $4, I would have certainly brought it back!!! I've gottEn Publix cold chicken before and it's delicious.... this, hardly edible!! #3, they had some kind of weekend special for T-bone steaks (was either $3.99 or $4.99 a lb), however, looking closely at the package, the ones on sale did not say "choice". Other meats in the department did say "choice" but not these.. meaning they are garbage! I didn't purchase any.. reminds me of the old Albertsons who used to have fantastic sales on meat until I realized it was labeled "select" which is a poorer class of meat that you won't even see in a decent supermarket. I went for the first time today. I usually hit the Winn-Dixie off 17th. This one is MUCH cleaner and nicer. Full shelves. Self-service check out is a big plus. The deli and bakery area is really nice. I really don't get the hate comments. Although I was in an out quickly as I know what I wanted. I'd take this place over the plastic over-priced produce and molasses slow lines in Publix anyday. I can even walk to Publix yet I never go there, that should tell you something. read more

I've been coming to this Winn Dixie for about 7 years now. I live close by so I walk there every few days. I shop there a lot. This is an extremely well run store and has many people that have worked there for a while. From management, to the cashiers, to the set up people, my experience has always been top notch. Professional and friendly is what I constantly see. But now with the approaching Dorian, I've seen them take it to a new level. The store has been well stocked and all the employees are busting butt and doing it with a pleasant demeanor. Almost as if it's just business as usual. I shop at this Winn Dixie as it is walking distance from my daughter's apartment. Although they recently completed a long overdue facelift, the supermarket lags behind its competitors. Outdated items, lack of selection, low supply of items, and a mostly apathetic staff all combined, lead to a negative shopping experience. Worse yet, good luck trying to return an expired item that was outdated when you bought it! While the store is not as dirty and more brightly lit than before, I think the store general manager should spend more time managing his store, as opposed to stocking shelves that I frequently see him doing. read more

I'm giving this store 2 stars because they always have good sales and I love the bogos (when the shelves aren't emptied of them). And there are a couple of staff here that are nice. The rest are just barely polite. The cashiers (yes all of them) can't be bothered to even look at you leg alone smile and/or say thank you. And I realize this is a small store, but for some reason they stock 4 different varieties of cookie wine cover a whole shelf, but just one balsamic and only one option for red wine vinegar and only in a very small bottle. But none of this would be that big of a deal if the cashier would just smile once and say thank you, especially after I've thanked them. I've filled out their receipt survey several times, sometimes asking for a manager to contact me, they never do. read more

I used to go to the "green monster" exclusively with occasional jaunts over to Fresh Market. Well The Winn Dixie in Victoria Park recently had a make over and they've done a very good job. It's become more of a staple. The prices are very good, and often lower than #&^$*&#^$. The staff is courteous and the store is very well stocked and clean.
