My wife and I were staying in Panama City Beach and this Winn-Dixie was a half mile walk away. We often got the discounted pre-seasoned shrimp and squash bags for 6-8 dollars. Really good. I also got a 15 pack of Natural Ice here quite a few times for $10.50. My wife got lots of pretzels and Chex Mix here. She also got her daily yogurt fix and they have a good selection of in-house sodas. Their loyalty program is also very good for a reasonable price. The staff was always very helpful and I even got to know the guy that cleans up when the store opens. Nice guy who lives nearby and is semi-retired. Lots of construction is going on nearby and hopefully business will get even better when that is finished. There is also a CVS and a liquor store in the same strip mall. read more

This Winn-Dixie is located on Front Beach Road at the intersection of the 79 curve. Given the location of our condo about half a mile away, this Winn Dixie has become a staple for all our grocery/liquor trips during our yearly visits. Givens it's location on 79/Front Beach, we always swing in before checking in to go ahead and get the goods for the week! Service at this location is decent. The cashiers re always friendly and helpful. Parking is abundant at this location, while they share the shopping center with another retail store, there are plenty of spots to go around. Over the past few years it does appear that they went through a face-lift of sorts throughout the store. This location is always clean on the inside, but does have a problem with maintaining a clean parking lot. I don't think it is due to lack of trying, just the volume of folks that come to this store creates trash where it doesn't belong. Overall, this Winn-Dixie is our go-to spot for our trips to beach. Is it perfect, nope...but it is perfect for the occasions when it's needed, so given that we will return! read more

When shopping PCB, you really have two choices for groceries - Winn-Dixie or Publix. Our condo, for this trip, was just down the road from Winn-Dixie, so that made the most sense. I did our initial shopping trip there, stocking the condo with all sorts of goodies - fruit, meats, drinks, etc. Walking around the store, I was less than impressed. The fruit was poor quality. Most of the packages of strawberries had "fuzzy berries" in them. Pass. Melons didn't look great. Overall, selection was minimal (I suppose they have to reduce options to make room for stuff like beach chairs and floaty toys). Not many great deals throughout the store either. Really, nothing was drawing me to come back. In fact, as we shopped, I was about ready to leave the cart and go elsewhere, but I didn't want to burn any more time, so I just sucked it up and finished my shopping. Don't bother with the bogo items, they don't honor them. I had several items from the various bogo stations and the only one that worked as a bogo was a shredded cheese and I got the same exact item. When you head to a grocery store you expect a certain degree of customer service while getting your groceries; helpful, courteous staff, a welcoming atmosphere, maybe a smile & chit chat. I have never personally "shopped" at this Winn Dixie but I can guarantee you'll get more than expected from the staff of this one. My daughter experienced a nightmare of a situation while in PCB & being 5 1/2 hours away from me with no money, no phone, no identification was doubly terrifying. The staff of this store came out to her aid, let her stay in their break room & basically took care of her like a momma would until I could get to her & get her home. My unwavering gratitude to these women can never be expressed adequately. There were several young girls running the cash registers, we had to bag our own groceries!!! the young women who checked us out didn't speak, didn't even try to help us bag our groceries and was slinging our groceries to us after she scanned them. I was about to check out in self checkout with my girlfriend when I saw one of the red shirts give people in self checkout the winn dixie rewards card or whatever, twice. When it was my turn, he didn't give me the discount. Though I knew if I went through regular checkout where they bag it for me, they were automatically giving everyone the discount. Just wish the guy would've given me one as he gave a few people, mostly women as I saw, the discount. Pretty dissatisfied in that. But I'll continue to shop here. We stoped here to get some essentials as soon as we got to town. It's a nice store like the Winn Dixie I grew up near in NC. My only complaint is the prices. Geez...they are high! Seems like a clear case of price gouging due to a beach location. There is another beach store with great prices compared to Winn Dixie. Check out Carousel Grocery in front beach road about 2 miles west. Wonderful gulf view, big selection and much better prices. read more

Great place to do your grocery shopping while on vacation. You can save a lot of money here by preparing your meals for your family as opposed to eating out and spending an awful lot eating out. But just a little FYI, if you have a place to grill while on vacation, make sure to purchase some Conecuh sausage and grill them with green peppers and your favorite BBQ sauce, just plum wonderful! read more

Friendly staff is what comes to mind. They always greet you as you walk in the door and genuinely seem eager to help. Lines tend to be a bit slow, but I tend to use the self-checkout aisle. Much quicker to do it yourself. Fine selection of everything you need, although a bit on the high end, unless it is on sale. Chalk that up to the captive audience they have on the beach. I am a local who lives close by. I give this store a chance over and over again out of convienience to always only be disappointed. They close early. If you think you have 5-10 minutes don't bother the door will be locked. They should change their posted hours to 5-10 minutes before the hour since it happens more often than not. read more

We shop here every year on vacation. It's convenient and we have never had a problem with customer service. They always seem nice throughout the store. As for the prices, we signed up for and rec'd right then and there a Winn Dixie card and keep it on our keychain throughout the year for our annual trip on vacation, so we can save same as the locals. Also had their Deli trays, etc. for the night before our son's wedding for all the guests and they were very good and priced very reasonable. I would recommend shopping here. read more
