Breakfast has gone downhill. They make it and let it sit in the glass case then warm it up which makes it rubbery. Muffin was almost raw. Very gooey, but not in a good way. The women behind the glass case were rude rude rude. However, the young girl and older gentleman behind the register were super nice. We always stop here when we go to Seaside. Located right in a square. It is a gourmet grocery store full of packaged snacks, sauces, spices, and mixes. It also has a fresh bakery case, deli with meat and house made salads and sides, and lots of wine and drinks. Pricey but great food and worth a stop. My parents love their muffins and I love their salads especially the shrimp salad. Always busy so that says a lot. read more

Who doesn't love Modica Market? They have just about anything you could need. My favorites are the ready made deli foods, wine for happy hour, iced tea and coffee. They also have a decent selection of bottles of wine and their prices are in line with other places in the area. Another nostalgia-filled Seaside haunt, Modica's stands up pretty well to the test of time. Yes, the selection of groceries is tiny and extensive, but they have interesting things and are actually pretty well-curated for what you are going to want in your vacation house. Plus, more importantly, the deli cases of interesting sandwiches, and tempting desserts looked even better than I remembered them. A great looking coffee bar too. This is a market, deli, coffee shop all in one. We stopped for coffee this time, also had pastries in the past. Very reasonably priced and gooooood. The service is always quick and the market is pretty cool to walk through. They have meats, pre made food, dry goods, and I think some produce (not sure, can't remember). It's a nice stop for the morning. I don't reside or rent at Seaside, so never really purchased groceries from there. It's usually not busy and the people are friendly and keep things moving quickly. It's clean and the tables outside are kept clean also in front of the market. read more

A unique grocery store right on the grounds of the Seaside beach community. There are hot and cold items for breakfast, lunch and dinner or items to purchase to cook your own. A beautiful glass case of desserts and muffins so hard to choose. Today we enjoyed a sausage, egg and cheese burrito that the store heated along with a 32 oz. Freshly squeezed orange juice mimosa. Perfect breakfast to enjoy in the seated area outside the store. Seaside is my favorite beach area for vacation. read more

God bless Modica Market and their pasta salad! I had a strong pregnancy craving for pasta salad and they have a DELICIOUS "everything pasta salad" with tons of veggies and a light dressing. I would get a tub of it and take it down to the beach and snack on it all day. The market itself has lots of groceries, snacks, and a deli counter where they serve premade sandwiches, salad, fresh juices and espresso drinks. Service was always fast and friendly. We came here in the afternoon and wanted to see what all this store had. It turns out this is more than just a small grocery store. They offer drinks as well. In the middle of the store is a mini juice/coffee shop, where you can get made to order drinks at a reasonable price. Once you order, you wait until they hand you a drink and then pay at the front with your ticket. I had the cherry limeade and it was refreshing! It tasted fresh and definitely had a ton of sugar. My kids loved it as well. I was the only one from our family who entered the store and they were able to hang out at the green area just outside the store. There is some seating outside and for normal groceries, this place is much more convenient than going to Publix. read more

In case you missed it, I went to Watercolor FL recently.... Modica Market was without a doubt one of the biggest highlights of my visit. I made several trips and was razzled/dazzled each time. Because of COVID they are only allowing 10 people in the store at a time. So do not let the line outside discourage you! It moves super quickly. The grocery portion of the store is full of unique goods. I can easily get carried away scoping out preserves, pickles, and all things canned or in a jar. And I certainly did that here. Nobody is asking but if I could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, I'd likely say Ina Garten. And she would LOVE this place. @Ina...go here! The real star of this market is the market itself. Everyone goes for the giant take away mimosa (5/5 stars for that bad boy, no doubt). But there is so much more to try. There are amazing baked goodies and prepared lunches. I loved my chocolate chip cookie, inhaled the breakfast sandwich, and was obsessed with the cherry limeade. They also serve coffee, which hello LIFEHACK in a town with limited coffee shops, that amass outrageous lines. If you're interested in doing some yummy home cooking you can purchase partially baked breads as well. I took home a sourdough loaf and finished cooking it on the grill (5/5 stars for the bread sure AND 5/5 stars for my cooking chops, where's my Yelp page?). Have fun exploring this market! read more

We've been visiting MM every year for a decade and we're always delighted by the selection of fresh prepared foods as well as the exceptional and at times new (to us) products throughout the shop. We picked up sandwiches for the beach. I highly recommend the ham, Brie, and fig panini. Delicious cool from our cooler hours later. The staff is very friendly and their ordering process is always smooth. The ambiance and design of the store is old school and greatly appreciated. This is honestly one of the most organized small town market/grocery store/deli ever. When you are walking around the township, you noticed plenty of tables with folks outside of Modica. You can't really see in because they have ads outside of their place. When you walk in, it is awe inspiring to see all the different items sold and how it's organized. I went in for some sweets as recommended by a friend. I got a slice of strawberry cake, cream cheese muffin, and an Apple streusel muffin. The cake was good but a tad bit dry. The icing made up for it. The real stars were the muffins. They were still fresh the next day heated up in the microwave for a few seconds. Great little market in the heart of Seaside. We make it a point to stop here as soon as we get into town. They have draft beer and you can get a punchcard to eventually get a free beer. First, I must confess that I've edited this Modica review about 4 times to add additional positives about this market as I pop in and out during my stay on 30A. Modica is an original longtime Seaside establishment and with good reason. This small deli/market has a plethora of great items to keep you coming back and not having to travel to a large grocery - unless you need produce. The produce it limited in this small store but they do have lemons and limes. Their deli has fresh made salads and sandwiches. I thoroughly enjoyed a small Greek Salad with their homemade Greek dressing and a small Shrimp Salad. The Greek Salad had fresh greens, vibrant color with red onions, black olives, tomatoes, and peppers. The Shrimp Salad had a light dressing with minced red, yellow and green bell pepper. Sometimes less is more and that is the case with this Shrimp Salad. Light and flavorful letting the shrimp shine! My niece recommended their Mimosa. Delicious! Fresh squeezed orange juice, and served 16 oz or 32oz. The Mimosa line was long, but speedy! Additionally, while waiting for the Mimosa, I noticed large catering trays of Sausage biscuits and Ham biscuits. A hassle free way to easily feed a house full on a vacation! Great selections of craft beer and wine. I was able to purchase a variety of cheeses, sausages, craft sea salt crackers and specialty pickled vegetables for a lovely charcuterie tray for our groups evening cocktail time. I stopped into this little gem when we were exploring the area.....which is great with shops and all types of restaurants. You're greeted when you enter- something more places of business need to do. There is so much to see you really have to walk around the whole place first to check it out. They have sandwiches, delicious muffins and out of this world cake by the slice. And the slices are BIG! Easily feeds a few people. There were lots of sandwiches too. If you're not in the mood for breakfast/ lunch......you still need to go here. Beat red beans and rice! My wife and I grew up in South Louisiana and we know good red beans and rice. For our lunch, we ordered some at the counter at Modica Market and we both agree that these are some of the best we have had. They were served piping hot with a nice amount of sausage too! Everyone is courteous also - nice southern hospitality! I like that we can enjoy the view from their patio too. Of course they also have other foods available. Breakfast is always a big hit there with fantastic coffee, muffins, biscuits and sausage, and biscuits with chicken too. This was a great find on our vacation to Seaside. We came to check it out because there was a scene from The Truman Show filmed here. They have a great selection of herbs, spices and condiments that fill the shelves around the store. They have a bakery/coffee shop inside and also sell pre-made dishes you can take home. We also got a bottle of wine. The barista at the coffee counter was very nice. You could browse for a while here checking out all the cool stuff. The girl at the checkout counter was not very friendly but other than that it was a great experience. read more

I've been enamored with Modica Market ever since I was a kid. I love the small market feel and the fact that a scene from the movie, The Truman Show, was shot inside of the market. I go every summer when I come to the beach for vacation. This year I decided to try a muffuletta from the deli counter and my, my, my was it DELICIOUS! There was nothing better than sitting outside eating that perfectly crafted sandwich and smelling the salty sea air. Also they sell really cute shirts and tanks here.
