    32 oz Mimosa

Cute, old school market in the heart of Seaside. I heard great things about the huge 32 oz mimosa so definitely had to go try! It was great and refreshing on a hot day. I was also pleasantly surprised by the homemade pasta salads, sandwiches, etc. that were available inside. It was fairly busy but the staff was quick to get everyone through the line.

Here's an update to the update. It's been pretty chilly down here lately (including a snow storm!) but this has been perfect weather for Hot Chocolate. Modica makes an excellent Hot Chocolate. Great flavor served HOT ( too many places deliver a tepid drink). AND stopped with whipped cream. A lovely little not so guilty pleasure. Other hot beverages are good too.

We always stop here when we go to Seaside. Located right in a square. It is a gourmet grocery store full of packaged snacks, sauces, spices, and mixes. It also has a fresh bakery case, deli with meat and house made salads and sides, and lots of wine and drinks. Pricey but great food and worth a stop. My parents love their muffins and I love their salads especially the shrimp salad. Always busy so that says a lot.

Who doesn't love Modica Market? They have just about anything you could need. My favorites are the ready made deli foods, wine for happy hour, iced tea and coffee. They also have a decent selection of bottles of wine and their prices are in line with other places in the area. Their cakes and pastries and really fun to admire but I eat gluten free so I have not tried any.

This is a market, deli, coffee shop all in one. We stopped for coffee this time, also had pastries in the past. Very reasonably priced and gooooood. The service is always quick and the market is pretty cool to walk through. They have meats, pre made food, dry goods, and I think some produce (not sure, can't remember). It's a nice stop for the morning. I don't reside or rent at Seaside, so never really purchased groceries from there. It's usually not busy and the people are friendly and keep things moving quickly. It's clean and the tables outside are kept clean also in front of the market.

A unique grocery store right on the grounds of the Seaside beach community. There are hot and cold items for breakfast, lunch and dinner or items to purchase to cook your own. A beautiful glass case of desserts and muffins so hard to choose. Today we enjoyed a sausage, egg and cheese burrito that the store heated along with a 32 oz. Freshly squeezed orange juice mimosa. Perfect breakfast to enjoy in the seated area outside the store. Seaside is my favorite beach area for vacation.

    What a find!

The cake! From scratch and you can tell. Our favorite is the coconut. We get it every time we visit.

Walking into that store feels less like grocery shopping and more like accidentally wandering into a tourist-trap convenience store wearing a Publix costume. Everything is pristine. Everything is organized. Everything is friendly. And everything costs an absolutely absurd amount of money. A quick trip for a few basics turns into a receipt that looks like you accidentally bought groceries for a small wedding. You grab a few staples such as milk, eggs, sandwich meat, maybe a jar of mayo and suddenly you're staring at a total that makes you wonder if the cashier slipped a Rolex and a beach condo deposit into your bag. And the worst part is that nothing about the experience justifies it. This isn't some boutique organic market. It's just a normal Publix that realized it sits between Seaside vacation rentals and Highway 30A tourists with sunburns and no other options. The pricing feels less like inflation and more like a calculated shakedown of anyone within five miles who needs groceries. And this isn't just imagination. Publix has been getting hammered by shoppers across Florida for prices that can run 30-50% higher than competitors on basic items. People are literally posting receipts online because they can't believe how much they paid for ordinary groceries. That's exactly how this store feels. You walk in thinking: "Publix -- where shopping is a pleasure." You walk out thinking: "Publix -- where shopping is a financial mugging with fluorescent lighting." Sure, the employees are nice. Sure, the floors are clean. But none of that makes it easier to swallow paying vacation-town ransom prices for groceries that cost dramatically less literally anywhere else. The Seagrove/Seaside Publix isn't a grocery store. It's a well-lit toll booth for people who ran out of food on 30A.

Popcorn chicken is a deal, so are the fried chicken, shrimp, wings, ribs, etc. Also , the deli subs are awesome! Don't go when it is super busy (like Saturday night when everyone is moving in) otherwise the service is not great. They are overwhelmed at that point. Also, it is crazy because the tourists/out of towners are in a frenzy and lose any sense of politeness. If you can wait to shop when it first opens at 0700, not only is the store empty, but it is stocked pretty well. And you don't have to deal with rude tourists/visitors.
