Winn-Dixie is now "Winn-ing!" This Winn-Dixie just got a complete make over & is BRAND NEW inside & out! They even put in a liquor store! My hubby liked it so much he signed up for the rewards program! Hahaha - The employees are so over the moon with their super new cool store they have no problem telling you how happy they are! They are all so proud of the new makeover, hence the service is OUTSTANDING! Signed up for the rewards program for the WINN! We are now happy "Winn-ers" with WINN-DIXIE rewards! Yesterday I went into this store around 9:00 am to pick up a few things quickly since I had to be somewhere soon. The staff was really helpful, cheerful, and fast. When I couldn't find something, a staff member helped me quickly find what I needed. I thought, " I should use this store more often." However, while I was there they kept calling for help at checkout. I had to stand in line awhile at the front checkout since nobody responded to help, and there was only one check out line open. Also, for some reason, there is a door near the parking lot that is Entrance only. Customers cannot Exit that door. It won't open from the inside. Why? Since by this time I really was in a hurry, I went to this door which was closer to where I parked, and I literally could not exit the locked door. (It was mid morning, not late at night.) I had to walk around to the side exit. This was annoying. I probably won't use this store more often after my experience. read more

I know it's hard being Asian during this coronavirus situation. And if you can't handle rude staff that look at you in disgust whilst yelling at you in a condescending manner, do not shop here. But if you can handle this ridiculous indirect racism, this is a great place to shop! Prices aren't the cheapest, but they do offer a military discount on Mondays (at least until the end of March 2020). They also are very well stocked compared to other grocery stores in the area. The racism probably isn't just this store specific, but people in general from small town Pensacola. Just smile and roll with the punches. Good luck! read more

Have not been to a Winn-Dixie in years. Popped into this location for a Memorial Day special on an item I wanted, and thought I would go ahead and pick up a few more things we needed. I decided to skip the other items. I could not believe the prices for what I thought was a forgotten discount grocer. Do yourself a favor and go to Walmart (as much as it pains me to say) if you need a discount grocer; Publix if you want clean, great selection, friendly and knowledgeable employees. Walmart is cheaper and Publix is much nicer if your going to pay the prices at Win-Dixie. read more

This store is an acquired taste. If it was a restaurant, it'd be Waffle House: old, worn, few workers. Which is a plus to me: It's never crowded. I avoid Walmart for many reason, being crowded is one of them. If you want class, go to Publix. Or the other, newer Winn-Dixie is much better; but it doesn't have the Waffle House feel. It's like being back in the 1960s in this one. It's really a hoot: The cash register women are cards, characters from a budget movie. Boy, talking about it makes me want to go up there, but it's late, so I'll go tomorrow. Only they have Blue Bunny vanilla ice cream in the gallon size. I've got the store memorized. I dig it. I guess I'm weird; I'm just not a snob, and I like visiting stores with character. This one has its own personality. I walked in 8:43am the place reeked of chemical solutions especially coming from the meat & seafood department. It was so gross cause you could smell it in every direction and the smell was so overbearing. How bad is it that they have to use such strong solutions??? And I agree their specialty items are almost barely minimum if there is even any. Luckily I ran in and out and only needed non fresh items. read more

This Winn Dixie is probably the worst I've ever been in. The bathrooms were filthy. The store looks really old. There were out of everything, the employees talked amongst themselves and weren't friendly at all. Wouldn't come back here unless it was my last option. read more

Horrible customer service. I went to the meat department and rang the bell for the butcher 3 times. After 15 minutes and three other customers waiting. I walked up to customer service to ask if they'd page a butcher. Butcher finally arrived and sarcastically said "sometimes people have to use a bathroom". The ONE butcher with his crappy attitude was enough for me to turn around and walk out. Shopped at Public. I'll shop Publix and even Walmart before this store again. read more

I love Winn Dixie - I wouldn't shop anywhere else. About a year ago I went to Publix for one thing, an onion, the only onions they had was a bag for $4.38. Incredible. It was half that price at Winn Dixie. Winn Dixie beats their prices every day. Walmart and Publix are terrible. read more

The staff is friendly yet unattentive. Waited at the customer service desk for almost twenty minutes after the clerk misrang two items and a third was not priced correctly. Big waste of time. Hopefully, next time will be better. read more

Produce section leaves MUCH to be desired. When I went to check out, it smelled like someone was smoking a cigarette inside the store. Was overcharged for an item. Lady behind cs desk quickly reimbursed me with no problem. It still smelled like someone was smoking when I left. No smokers standing outside exit when I left either. read more

7-25-2019. I've been shopping at this store for quite some time. The store manager is super nice and most of the employee's work there work there butt off. Yea the store has seen better days but the tornado that hit it didn't help the looks of the store. It's never crowded like Walmart and is easy to find things so your in and out. read more

This place is kinda gross. From their bakery to their deli. Nothing I buy is fresh. Even the bread is stale. The only reason this store exists is for a desperate emergency grocery run. And it's expensive. Here's an example of how bad they are with their prices. You can go to, say, oh, Walmart and see their soda sales, "three 12 packs for $10." If you buy two, they still give you the sale price for $3.25 separately, and some change. In other words, they don't force you to buy 3 in order to get the sale price. Why? Because they want you as a customer. Winn Dixie on the other hand? If you don't buy 3, you get nailed for the non sale price of $4.99 each. I basically would have gotten one for free yet I wasn't told that at checkout and it doesn't even matter. They should have honored their sale price regardless of whether or not I bought one or all three. I'm just so done with this place. There is never anyone in there anyway and my guess, if they continue like what I've seen over the past two years, they'll be closed and all that will stand is an empty building for lease. Get with it Winn Dixie on 9th. Seriously. read more

This Winn Dixie is ok. It's closer to my house than the one on Bayou, so I'll stop at it out of convenience. I think it could use a freshening up. It's clean, it just not very lively. As for Winn Dixie as a whole, I've become a huge fan, especially with their recently reduced prices and their fuel perks. read more
