Sushi maker has to be the most rude and obnoxious Publix employee I've ever come across, told me to "go away, not ready" when I asked for him to make 2 spicy tuna rolls, this was at 11am on a Wednesday, totally uncalled for, the 9 mile sushi makers are totally professional and helpful, 180 degrees different. read more

Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. This location has an overall good ambiance and makes a trip shopping all the better. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannl never (never, ever) forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities where Publix opens a location are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location for that matter and I give it five stars. read more

In Dec 2025 I have tried for weeks to order grocery delivery and had nothing but problems. I have used grocery delivery since it first began years ago. The system wants me to schedule two or more days in advance. I have uninstalled numerous times, switched stores etc. Still problems. I have been ordering from other stores. This Publix has a mango key lime pie that is 2.die.4! I haven't seen it anywhere else just at this location. They make a regular one that is meh but the mango key lime pie they make is OUTSTANDING! During the move we sorta celebrated our Anniversary. Too tired to cook, we just wanted to grab something yummy. I ran into this man in the deli and he was buying some stuff and there were only two mango key lime pies left. He told me how good they were that he eats them all the time. I told him it was our anniversary and he told me to GET IT! Then, he said "Happy Anniversary!" that he was just getting the last one bc I made HIM hungry! Lol Shout out to that young man!! waited a good 15 mins at the deli to to get some sliced Publix brand deli meat then went to check out and the young lady, Melody cashier in the express lane, standing doing nothing would not check me out because i had 15 items in my cart even though all the other cashiers are backed up... thats is definitely not putting the customer first... thank goodness this is NOT the regular publix I spend money at every week. I do gove kudos to a man stocking frozen foods who went out of his way to try to find an item for me. read more

I am pleased to see that Publix has pulled it together to create a better shopping experience. Still lacking in their customer service, the store is nicer organized and their aisles are categorized and kept maintained. My favorite Publix in Beulah, nice they made a 2nd floor for customer eatery. Nicely diversified in culture of foods. Most employees are helpful and go out of their way to help. This is where I go when in Pensacola for a work trip and I forget to buy drinks or other staples I will need on the job site and I don't want to spend big bucks at a gas station. I was waiting 25 minutes for my sandwich to be made by 2 elder ladies. I just got out of school and was pretty starving. The 2 ladies took there time making my 2 sandwiches and I was in a rush. Waste my time I could of drove all the way to subway and get my sandwich made in 5 min or less. Worse experience with publix and wouldn't go to the location again for sandwiches. read more

This particular location isn't my usual Publix I go to but I was on this side of town so I decided to stop and grab a few things. Headed to the front to check out and chose the shortest line of course. I usually do self check out but they were all occupied. I can't remember if the cashier Ryan R, greeted me or not. He told me my total and I dug through my purse looking for a 10 dollar bill. While doing so, I was pulling out 1 dollar bills. I finally found the 10 dollars I was looking for and handed it to him. He inspected the money for a moment (about 30 seconds) before putting it into the drawer. My changed back was like 1 dollar and some change. I held my hand opened waiting for the change. My change did not land in my hand. He basically threw it at me. I couldn't believe what had just happened. I had never had anyone treat me in such a way. I said, "I know you did not throw my change at me like that" he says, "Oh no, I didn't" or "Oh no, I didn't mean to" something along those lines. I picked up my change angrily, grabbed my bags and left the store. I felt so disrespected and so angry that I just wanted to get the hell up out of that store. Once I calmed down, I remembered he appeared to be possible be "special needs." I have a family member who is special needs so I some of the anger about the situation subsided but that was still no excuse. I called the store to speak with the manager and told him what happened. He confirmed what I thought, that the cashier was special needs. He apologized, said that he would tell his manager and have a talk with him as well as more training. I'm hoping he's going to do what he said because if that happens again, the next person might not be as nice as me. read more

Ladies I think this is where the single guys shop on a Saturday evening. I've never wrote a review like this so I'll give this location five stars for now. I'm single and truly I'm not out 'looking' for a man. I ran into this location Saturday evening after sitting on the beach all day and my mouth just dropped. I assume the ringless fingers meant most of the men shopping by themselves were single. It was an observation I have no facts to back this up, but darn, they were a plenty. Younger guys (I'm 40), guys my age and some older. I've been in and out of Lowe's and Home Depot and never have I come across this many 'A squads'. Well, what's the point of having online ordering and a designated pickup time if no one holds true to that. The excuse of "we got busy" does not hold up especially when you're in a rush. Normally I can count on Publix to do a good job but every online order I've ever made has been late, messed up, of poor quality or all of the above. Publix is by far the best grocery store in Pensacola. Since we don't have a Whole Foods or a Fresh Market, learn to embrace Publix. I hear complaints from tight wads about Publix being overpriced. Me personally? I like buying groceries from stores with clean floors. I like when my food boxes are dust free. I like stores that have been remodeled sometime in the last 5 years. Call me crazy, but low prices aren't everything. Before Publix came to town, Food World was our best bet. If you've EVER been to Food World, then you have come to accept a state of disappointment for your life. Publix is not just a great company, they are an AMAZING company. They are the largest privately held company in the state of Florida. They are employee owned, so you're dealing with a whole different level of quality employee. Their Deli is second to none. Publix is my favorite place to shop for groceries. They have a very clean store, they have great customer service, and their selection is good too. One thing that surprises me often is what I can find here. While they are not a Whole Foods or a Trader Joes, they do have many hard to find items. I used to buy a certain kind if organic bread at a grocer downtown but then I found it in Publix in the freezer section for $1.69 cheaper! Score. I often go to use a new recipe, wonder what such-n-such ingredient is and then am able to find it at Publix. While their prices may not always be the best on every item they often have what I need in stock and keep the store clean. Plus I can get most all of my shopping done here instead of going place to place. It's a good choice for grocery shopping. read more

While this is a slightly more upscale grocery chain, they nearly double the cost of basic, mass produced food that you can get anywhere, and the prices are only reasonable if you get one of the many bogo sales. While the facilities are clean and neat Publix is like any other grocery store. It gets five stars in my book because the staff is nice and will go out of their way to help you out; great customer service! I'm not one to pull it out and say, "meh." This stuff is expensive guys. $7 bucks and to find a hair in my sushi? Didn't bother calling the store to talk to management. It just shouldn't happen. They serve previously frozen seafood, which I think is bizarre considering where we live (I get that they are corporate, just seems odd). The prices are compatible to other stores, they allow the use of other store coupons which is great. The deli is super slow. Staff all very nice. It's always clean.
