I've been shopping at this Winn-Dixie for years, and it's the reliable neighborhood grocery I keep coming back to. The store is always clean, aisles are wide, and the lighting makes everything easy to find--no squinting at expiration dates here. Pros: * Produce section is legit. The fresh collards, okra, and Florida avocados are consistently good. They even bag the loose greens so they don't wilt on the ride home. * BOGO deals are real. Not the fake "limit 2" nonsense-stocked shelves on buy-one-get-one free items like Kellogg's cereal and Land O'Lakes butter. * Pharmacy staff go above and beyond. Ever since the small Publix opened closer to home, I haven't been to this Winn Dixie as often as I used to, but we've gone a couple times recently and are pleasantly surprised at the offerings. This is my 'home' WD - I use it more than any other, to the extent that I use it. There was a time when I swear they were gonna close it down, but I have to say that they have upped their game. For one thing, they are deep into the BOGO gambit now (but watch your price knowledge - sometimes it's STILL not that good a deal even when it's BOGO.) This extends to wine purchases, where i used to notice only the crappy ones are BOGOF. A few weeks ago, i picked up Mercer Brothers cab at $19.99 BOGOF, but the best thing is, since they also offer 10% off when you buy 4, you're tripple-dipping in this case ($27 winery price, discounted to $20, BOGOF takes out to half price, and still 10% off on top of that - so, 67% off a very decent quality wine). Their weekend sale is very popular, but beware of those steaks that are very cheap (inspected, but not graded) - they are flavorless and devoid of marbling, as if they are the latter 7 cows in Pharoah's dream. Lately, they've also been carrying a melange of seafood in the freezer that are $9.99 for 2 lbs (clams shrimps calamari mussels). Their Corvina is also typically $2 cheaper than at Costco. So, give them a look-see, and find out whether you can drop some of your grocery dollars here, and strike a bit of a blow to the empire that's colored green read more

When I first moved to Florida back in 2001, I pretty much chose Winn-Dixie as my primary supermarket. For a while, it seemed that Winn-Dixie lost their way, but they have since bounced back and have become a v8able supermarket again. The best thing that Winn-Dixie did was put a focus again on their meat department and bringing in quality beef. I was so disappointed when Winn-Dixie began putting an emphasis on non-graded imported beef. Now, even though they still offer the USDA Inspected but not graded meat, their emphasis is now on their USDA Choice grade beef. I will also say that the change has expanded beyond their meat department. As I said, Winn-Dixie has made a definite comeback and is, again, a great supermarket. I would definitely recommend this Winn-Dixie and I will give it five stars. read more

I recently moved to Longwood and I have been trying to give Winn-Dixie the benefit of the doubt but after my experience there today I probably won't go back. I have gotten food there several times and have had to throw it out but I didn't give up. Their customer service is worse than the spoiled food. Thank you to the staff there that do know how to treat customers. So glad that the attitude s of bad management haven't filtered down to them. One star because there was nothing lower than that. read more

This is a lovely location. Everything is clean and well stocked - good deals on pretty much everything. Their self checkouts work. They have staff up front when needed. Their deli area is vast and user friendly. I have never had to deal with an issue with customer service. So, all in all, this is a great shopping experience. read more

The two daytime clerks in the liquor store are the rudest people I have ever seen in a customer service position. They do not care to help you out and subject you to one word answers. So sad that people hate there job so much that it affects the quality of life for others. But at least the store is somewhat clean. read more

I love this Winn Dixie! Everything is super easy to find, and the cashiers are always so friendly. Located very conveniently across the street from my apartment, whenever I need anything, they have it! I especially love the app and how you are able to see your savings on the bottom of your receipt. I would give the place 5 stars, but coming from Las Vegas, the store just closes too early for my tastes. Maybe staying open an extra hour would help, as there always seems to be several folks like me attempting to come pick up some necessary item at 10:05 pm when the business has closed. But I digress, the location is not in an overly trafficked area (which is rare in Orlando) and it's right on the edges of Longwood, Winter Springs & Casselberry, so you don't have to go too far for your needs. Closest grocery store to me and I go weekly. They always have great deals on their meats and the store is very clean. The major problem I have is that some of the cashiers will stare at you expecting you to bag your own groceries. I hate going there and having to stare at the cashiers while they throw all my items down the end of the counter expecting me to do their work. This is the only grocery store I've ever been to that does this. It's not just one cashier either. I've had a few all do this when I go. I've never had anyone expect me to bag my own groceries at Publix. This week I went to Publix just for the better customer service. read more

This was the first grocery store I have been to during the pandemic where 1/2 the employees either weren't wearing masks or wearing the incorrectly. There was a lady walking around , with her mask under her chin, not to mention a gentleman from the meat department with the mask not up around his nose. Then there was the "greater" wearing his mask dangling off of one ear. Suffice it to say I will not only not be back to this location but will go out of my way on all my social media platforms to let people know their complete lack of caring for the customers and their employees. read more

Win dixie has really stepped up their game especially with their organic section and specialty item selection that incudes cheeses from all over the world and an olive bar. This review is of the Deli. On multiple occasions I've stopped to have a sub and found the sub station closed prior to the stated closing time! This reflects poor management. If you're going to be closing before the stated operating hours CHANGE THE STATED OPERATING HOURS so your customers can count on your service! read more

I love this Winn Dixie location! Since I work next to this plaza, it's an easy and convenient stop for lunch. They have fresh, hot food options such as chicken tenders with a variety of sides. Or you can go for a fresh salad or deli sub. Their wing bar is everything! I haven't bought anything from the bakery, but it is always stocked and everything looks so good. There's also Sushi! I don't like my sushi cold or refrigerated but I've found that their sushi is made fresh everyday around noontime which is awesome for my random sushi cravings. There's even someone who will make your own custom sushi roll on the spot! This store is renovated and much nicer than other Winn Dixies in the area. They have a nice little area with tables and chairs if you wish to eat there and use their free wifi. Customer service is always consistent, everyone there is friendly. This is my resident Winn Dixie since moving to Longwood a year ago. The store is usually very clean, although seems on the darker side. They have a nice hot food bar as well as a nice salad bar. There is always at least one weekly deal on meat that is way cheaper than other grocers, and I'm a big fan of stocking up on meat when it's a good value. For example, chuck roasts this week we're $2.99 a pound and everywhere else they were $4.99 a pound or more. Also, there are usually a lot of BOGO deals every week. I also enjoy that they have a rewards program. I like knowing that I can spend all the points I'm racking up on a future grocery trip OR I can use it towards money off a trip to the gas station. I also like the self-checkout lanes because I prefer to bag my groceries the proper way (my first job ever was at a grocery store). The only problem I've seen in the self-checkout lanes so far is that they don't except the bonus points coupons, which is very inconvenient. I can't give it 5 stars because it does need to be brightened up and customer service is hit or miss, but I do enjoy shopping here for the most part. read more

He was courteous, helpful with regard to product knowledge and packed my items perfectly, as I had quite a distance to walk with them. I'm upping my review from 3 to 4 stars. The store is better than I originally gave it credit for, and maybe it always has been. (At least since it was remodeled, anyway). I find a lot of good things here (the store still sells that Sargento cheese I mentioned in my initial review) and, as far as I can tell, it is the only place I can find said cheese. It also gets some rare Ben and Jerry's and Häagen-Dazs ice creams, too. It recently had the H-D Peppermint Bark ice cream, which is great ... during a recent visit, I said I'd get it next time, but when I went back all of it was gone. :/ I don't really interact with the employees here since I usually just go for a handful of items and then use the self-checkout lane. The store almost always is busy, though, so things probably are good as far as customer service goes. Winn-Dixie's liquor store, which used to be directly next door, now is detached and is several doors down from the main grocery store. It can be found near the Asian/Thai restaurant and Radio Shack. I haven't been into the liquor store for a year or so, but it used to have some good stuff that I never saw elsewhere. read more

The complete redesign of the store has helped it to be a much better place to shop. They have also expanded their offerings especially in the Deli/Prepared Foods section. It seems to have also raised the spirits and friendliness of the employees as well to have all the construction work over and to have a much nicer environment to work in. The Winn-Dixie Liquor Store has been moved down one storefront so the grocery store has more space for guess what -- groceries! The wider selection is very welcome. There are now items that I used to wait to go to Publix to get that I can now get here. If a good Publix is 5 stars, this Winn-Dixie is now 4 (up from 3 before). Also sign up for the Rewards Card . . . you can save 5-15 cents per gallon of gas at the Shell station next door based on how many groceries you buy there. Great deal! read more

It's been upgraded, but still feels dirty. Worse, however, is the fact that you have to play sherlock holmes everytime you go in. Not sometimes, but everytime things ring wrong. Then, plan on spending 15 minutes at the customer service desk, waiting for price checks, then going back to show them where it is and what it says. Do you have this kind of time? I don't anymore. I also don't like to be made to feel I have inconvenienced them for their mistake(s). Don't like how you are talked to by a customer service person? Wait for a manager, if you've got another 20 minutes. Eh, forget it and just go to Publix - they will treat you with respect and if their price doesn't come up right, you don't get an attitude, you get the item free. Yes, you really do. They have definitely cleaned up the store recently but I will only stop there out of convenience. I love making my own salad and they do have a bar you may choose to make your own. It's typically not fresh, so I've stopped doing that. I've been there searching for 2 items and walked around from isle to isle with no one asking if I need help. I stopped one lady/employee and asked if she could tell me where to find it. She said "oh sorry I'm pretty new and don't know where it is" I searched and searched for another employee and she said "yes it's down at the end of isle 12." I looked and looked and still never found it! By the way at Publix every employee asks if I need help and when I ask where something is located they not only tell me what isle it's on but they walk me directly to it. read more

this is not my favorite place to do my grocery shopping but typically choose it because it is closest to where i live. it is kind of a small store compared to other WD's i have been to and it is in need of updating. 2 gripes: first, i LOVE their spicy deli fried chicken but for some reason they NEVER have it. i was able to find it twice within the last 6 months and thats it. one time i asked someone in the deli why they rarely have it and the guy said he had some cooking and could give us some fresh. i was ecstatic but it turns out he gave us regular friend chicken :(. also at this particular store there is one cashier - an older blonde lady - who always has an attitude. i do monthly shopping so of course my cart is going to be overflowing. every time i go into her lane she complains and tries to get someone else to take the order so she doesnt have to do it. she even vocally states she hates doing large orders. ok well maybe dont work in a GROCERY STORE. duh! or at least dont tell the customer you are about to ring up that you cant be bothered to ring them up as it makes them feel like a burden. this lady is a real sour puss. read more

Late 2009/ early 2010, I had an apartment with a girlfriend just up the road from this Winn-Dixie. We were very broke, and did most of our shopping at Walmart, however there were a few things at Winn-Dixie that really were cheaper. Regardless, we didn't really like this Winn-Dixie, and as crazy as this is going to sound, actually felt that the Walmart was a bit of a step up than here. It was just very run down and gritty. Fast forward four years, my wife and I were on our way to visit my parents in Altamonte, and passed by this Winn-Dixie. We had to run in to grab something real fast and were blown away by how nice it is on the inside. I mean, this place is really beautiful. I had completely forgotten about this Winn-Dixie, and it was only after having made several more visits to this particular location that I even realized it was the same one that me and my ex had avoided so many years ago. Talk about a complete 180°. Now compare this to the Winn-Dixie across from my house in Sanford, and you'll get an idea of the stark contrast between then and now. read more
