I had noticed it before when visiting the Christmas Chute, but the reviews were a little mixed so we never gave it a try. Fast forward to this weekend when we got invited to a birthday at the speakeasy upstairs... and I'm so glad we finally went. First of all -- they're doing a great job with the speakeasy concept because I genuinely had no idea it was there. It's upstairs above the restaurant and you need a code word to get in. Since we were already there, we decided to have dinner first and the menu honestly surprised me in the best way. It's very much Southern comfort food, but elevated a bit. The vibe inside is eclectic and interesting. The staff was super friendly, and even on a Saturday night it wasn't overly busy. The new streets in Sapulpa look great now that the construction is finished, but because most of the parking is behind the buildings the street can look like a ghost town even when places are actually busy. Kind of a weird illusion. They start you off with bread and a trio of fresh butters which was unexpected and delicious. The bread itself wasn't anything fancy, but the butter definitely was. I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered from the kids menu (which I very much appreciated did not say "12 and under"). I got a grilled cheese and the waitress suggested adding a cup of tomato bisque.
