The best Chili Cheese Coney I have had in the Tulsa Area. It was 2:45. I didn't check closing time when we left from home. The sign on the door said 3:00 pm. I asked the owner if he would still be able to serve us without it being a problem. "Certainly, come on in we will be here for while cleaning up" The sandwiches come on either a hamburger bun or hot dog bun. A great selection of meat. I knew that I wanted a Chili Cheese Coney and a Smoked Bologna on the hot dog buns. My wife had the Chili Cheese Coney also. The Fries here are rated as spectacular by many reviewers. I was burned out on fries from this week's dining out. Healthy coleslaw for me. My wife was eating light also, ordering just a single and chips. The combo meals come with a drink. $6.99 for my wife's single and $8.99 for my double. Bargains. The chili on the coney was perfect. Add onions and mustard; delicious. Now the smoked bologna sandwich with a little BBQ sauce, onions and I added a few jalapeno slices. Oh Boy! Sooo Good. After having the smoked Bologna, here is how I recommend you have it. Order it on a hamburger bun, order it with double meat, onions pickles, and BBQ sauce. Maybe even put some of the slaw on the sandwich. There is now, no reason for the McRib to even exist. There is a sign in the shop that reads "All YOU can EAT ribs $9.99, Fridays 4-7pm." You cannot buy a slab of uncooked ribs for $9.99. This is a steal. I am not sure if this is every Friday, so call before you go. I know a creditable informant, a certified BBQ gourmand, that has had the ribs. He rates them high, equal to some of the well-established BBQ joints in Tulsa. This is worth a try. And there is more. In visiting with the owner, he mentioned that they are trying several other food ideas. Wimpey's has a trained chef that is behind the scene preparing the smoked meats, chili, and sides. They have plans in the works to offer a "Pop-Up Restaurant Experience", right there in their shop. Who knows what it will be or when. Keep an eye on Wimpy's FB page. This could be an enjoyable change up for Sapulpa's mediocre dining landscape. A clean bright sandwich shop with super friendly accommodating personnel, great variety, good prices.

Great banana ice cream. Inexpensive Coney Island style food. Friendly staff. I wish there was a Wimpy's in San Diego!

A nice Greek man and his Creek significant other run this trailer just off 66 near Linden St. in Sapulpa. Everything we got was fantastic, shrimp salad, chicken sandwich, sausage and taters were all phenomenal. The way this guy does his chicken has to be tasted to be believed. Perfect texture, perfect seasoning. He will likely comp u a couple samples as you wait for ur food and if u ordered anything without the chicken, ur proly regretting it. Fantastic portions and to top it off comped us a very tasty piece of their cheesecake. They not on the menu but they also have traditional Greek items like cabbage rolls and stuffed grapeleaves. Normally I don't like to leave reviews for places I keep going back to regularly, but I am making an exception for this place. If it wasn't in Sapulpa, I'd likely eat here a couple of times a week easy. Truly excellent food.

Everyone was very nice and accommodating. The food wasn't very good in my opinion. I chose the turkey sandwich. Although the turkey was real turkey breast, not deli meat, it didn't have a lot of flavor. There also weren't a lot of toppings, and bread ratio was too bready. There isn't an option to "build your own" like Jersey Mikes or Subway, so you're kind of stuck with what you get. It wasn't awful, just not that good. Service made up for mediocre food.

Neither looked up to see me standing there. After six minutes standing there one looked at me. Came up and asked me if she could help me. I told her my name and was there to pickup my sandwiches. With this "you dumb butt look" and said "it's right over there"and walked off. Remember I've never been there before and I hadn't seen the shelf holding our food. Place is small with six or so tables. Got home with our sandwiches. My Italian Sub was SO WET AND SOGGY! The lettuce and thinly sliced tomato were drenched in some unidentified liquid substance. I pulled all of the let out of the sub. Leaving me with a bun that was falling apart. Torn off about half of the top and bottom of the bun. Flavor of meat was okay at its best. I ate one half Wife's Homemade Turkey sub was bland and tasteless. She ate 1/3 of one half. Two bags of chips were the hit of the meal. $29.60 wasted. Can't say we didn't try.

I originally stopped because it was a Passport stamp location, but I left talking more about the food than the stamp. The restaurant is small--I'd guess it seats no more than 18-20 people--and it's packed with Pepsi memorabilia that gives it a fun, nostalgic feel. It feels like stepping back into a classic American burger joint. Even better, it's been serving Route 66 travelers since the 1950s. Happy Burger has become a true Mother Road institution. (TravelOK) My wife and I both ordered the Jumbo Burger special. I swapped my fries for onion rings while she added cheese to her burger and kept the hand-cut fries. We ended up sharing both sides, and I'm glad we did. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. I'm usually pretty critical of hand-cut fries because they often end up limp or undercooked, but these were excellent--crispy outside and soft inside. The onion rings were equally good. The menu isn't huge, but that's often a sign that a restaurant focuses on doing a few things really well, and Happy Burger proves that point. If you're driving Route 66 through Sapulpa, don't just stop for the Passport stamp. Come hungry, enjoy a classic burger, soak in the nostalgic atmosphere, and experience a piece of Oklahoma history. This is exactly the kind of local spot that makes traveling the Mother Road so much fun.
