Deceptive business practices!! A couple of years into solar…read morepanel ownership. Here's some things they don't tell you when they sell you a system for $25,000. Your warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Whenever there is an issue with your system, you will get a notification that tells you there's an issue, but doesn't tell you what the issue is, that requires a technicians visits which is $180 I recently had a panel that is under performing, which, after a technicians visit deemed to be a manufacturers defect. So my kick ass warranty should cover this right? Wrong! The manufacturer will replace the panel, but I'll have to pay for shipping, which is approximately as much as a brand new panel would cost. Also, I have to pay for a technician to install the replacement panel. So when the sales person sells you peace of mind that the warranty will cover you - don't believe a word of it. I have long recommended solar panels to my friends. I have also long recommended not going near this chop shop enterprise. They are Temu version of what a solar company should be. Project management is a joke. See my earlier review for that debacle. Product support is an even bigger joke. I wish I could give zero stars.

All the woes, leaves me with the savings from the schematics of 77% savings, panned out to 18%. Monitoring for the solar panels based on the information I was given was a country outside the U.S., with no option to opt out of 3rd party advertisement. No thank you! Value=NONE!

I decided to go with Kapital Electric as my EV charger contractor of choice through word of mouth…read moreand was not disappointed I originally called to inquire about a rebate program associated with ev charger installations in specific Chicagoland areas and they made the application process really seamless. The staff is very responsive - theyll call, email, and even text you to work out anything and communicate as needed They give you the option to virtually provide photos of your setup for the initial proposal of an installation without requiring them to send someone to inspect things, which saves time for both parties. Once received, they'll verify the feasibility of the installation and draw up an official proposal for your review. I had a couple prerequisites to handle prior but once ready, they are quick to get back to you with all of the official documents From there, theyll send the engineers/electricians down to do the installation. Vasili handled my job and did amazing work. Super friendly and knowledgeable, great conversation, finished in 2 hours. He walked me through the game plan, insisted that I prioritized what location fit my preference over what would be easier to do, and executed it independently in a timely fashion. Overall very satisfied with the service from Kapital Electric :)

I recently had a solar system installed at my house working with GRNE Nelnet. The sales person…read more(Ryan Suchsland) was fairly okay given he was responsive and didn't employ high pressure tactics as typical with other solar sales people. The installation on the other hand has been super frustrating. The project manager for my site (Sam Evans) has been very dismissive of several issues I've encountered and overly defensive. He barely reads the email messages with a goal to understand but too quick to be dismissive. One of the issues I repeatedly raised eventually got fixed by one of Nelnet electricians that came to my house for a different reason. The electrician was patient enough to listen, acknowledged the issue and resolved the issue. Sam for whatever reason refuses to acknowledge that there is an issue and would rather argue to the ends. This has left a bad taste in my mouth and I wouldn't be recommending working with Sam Evans if you have to work with Nelnet. If you value your time, look elsewhere as I was forced to micromanage the process almost every step of the way. Now I'm probably still going to have to continue micromanaging this process to ensure the SREC paperwork is filed correctly as some other reviewers indicate the potential for mismanagement there. I certainly wouldn't trust that Sam would do a mistake free job on mine. The reason I have not given this review a one star is because there are some other decent people in the company that have done their jobs well, alas a few bad eggs have ruined my experience overall. It remains to be seen if I'll get value for my money. I'll be updating this review as necessary.

They decided to refund my $1800 for removal and not pursue working with me since their service could not "meet my satisfaction." Expecting a response within a week is reasonable for any active business this size. If you read the review of others here you will conclude that I am not the only customer who has experienced lagged and/poor communication. I suggest you improve your support workflow in order to thrive in this industry. In the few hours that have gone by, I was able to get a quote and schedule service with another local company. Original Review Do not rely on this company for good customer service from the operations end, good communication or follow-up. They require you to pay an invoice before any work is done. However, when it comes time to schedule the service no matter how many messages you leave or emails you send, don't expect to hear back from them. Research and find another company (if you need work done expeditiously)!

If you're looking for a roofer - start with Tom's company Presidential Roofing…read more I found Presidential Roofing via Yelp and was definitely tops on my list for roofing companies due to the stupendous reviews. After having experienced the service and detail of this company - I'm completely convinced they are trustworthy, offer value and a good experience and should get a call for every roofing project. I've been considering a reroof for seven years as I knew my roof would need replacement along with skylights and gutters eventually, so I've read up about all there is about roofs and skylights and gutters. Tom arrived, and did a detailed assessment on top of the roof, and provided good feedback on my concerns. He noticed several things on his assessment and offered additional options on them including various ventilation ideas. I asked him about my siding as well - he thought my siding did not need replacement so we did not quote that out. He said that his crew would strictly be outside for the project and would not need to enter the home for any reason (even though we were doing an attic fan install, and skylight replacement). About 2 days later, I received a quote via email, and we chatted more about the details - particularly about my sky light replacements and the merits of different types of roof ventilation. Being my first quote, I thought the quote was definitely a good quote (verified later after four more quotes that I received - same shingles, harder sell job from others, and some did not even climb the roof at all). After all my quotes came in, I went with Presidential Roofing - scheduled for two weeks later Roof would take 2 days, Gutters half day. The week of the job - I received a note from Tom on the particular details of the week. Don't keep the car in the driveway or in garage, as they'll deliver and use the driveway for the materials/haul away for three days. Materials were lifted onto roof off a flat-bed truck crane Tuesday afternoon. Tom advised that the skylight replacement would create some interior dust/debris (so I used some painter cloth tarps/plastic covers taped to the ceiling). They left a small dumpster trailer (swept really clean btw) off to the side of the house (wooden planks so no tire treads in grass). Each day they would clean up around the home, and would do a magnet roller to catch any nails that would have fallen around the home. The project was done exactly on time as scheduled. They started at 7-7:30am - 6pm each day for the roof. The crew was great - they were friendly, detailed, and Tom called a few days later to ask about the roof. The final invoice arrived by mail the following week (no surprises - very close to the quote), when I had the payment ready - Tom dropped by to fetch.
