I could not be happier with my bath to shower conversion. I spoke to several companies and told them immediately what my budget was and they acknowledged and commented they understood. However, I had to listen to a 2hour presentation about their company. They played with numbers and at the end of the calculations, they presented me with a figure way over my budget. It was so annoying. When I made an appointment with Winstar Home Services, the presentation was entirely different. Again, up front I was honest about my budget, he was listening. I was told about the quality of the company and the products they used and then he worked up a figure within my budget. They measured and measured again to make sure everything would be custom fit. Jim the installer was so professional. He laid down tarps to protect my home from the many trips he had to make up and down the steps. He was able to do everything. He took out the existing tiles, reinforced the walls and flooring, replaced the plumbing and set in the shower pan. (the first day) The second day, Jim cut all the pieces to fit, he installed the walls and fixtures. He did a beautiful job and it was evident he was proud of his work. We needed a dimmer switch and a bathroom exhaust fan replaced. Not only did it take less than 10 minutes to receive a call back to my request for service I left on the Home Advisors wesite, but every individual we dealt with - from the person who returned my call to the gentlemen who performed the service work (and the person who called us afterwards to make sure we were satisfied with the service), were very friendly and professional. We were we sent a photo of the electrician who would perform the work, and we were also e-mailed a message from the owner of Winstar. All very impressive from start to finish. My dilemma: My house had a power surge that killed expensive equipment. Carlos quickly showed me the outlets had bad grounding. Also, the panel everything else was connected to had poor grounding. I contracted a bathroom remodel with Bath Planet, a division of Windstar. I am very happy with their work. Bill did a great job and the new shower looks as advertised. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was the company's communication with their staff. Bill had the wrong address and did not have my phone the first day. He also was late, which was not his fault, but I do blame the company for not telling me he was helping with an emergency call when I called them to make sure they were coming. If they would have told me, it would have made a difference. Other than that, good stuff. read more

With his can-do attitude, deep knowledge and extensive experience with HVAC systems, Jim hit the ball out of the park again on my troubled thermostat issue. He methodically attacks the problem and gets it solved. I had him dealing with a malfunctioning NEST thermostat on a property I manage (about a month ago), and he was just as good this second time around working on the thermostat at my home. He even gave me some unsolicited - but much needed and appreciated - advice on the wisdom of changing my four air filters more often. I hope he's assigned to the next service call I have! read more

Found them after multiple google searches and what a difference between this company and others. They were very pleasant, showed up on time, did great work and gave us the best price! James and Rob installed a mini-split heat pump and it's worked perfectly for the last month right through the single digit temps. Our AC went on the blink in the middle of a super hot day in August. My wife just had knee surgery and was totally uncomfortable. Winstar scheduled us and a smart tech arrived and diagnosed the problem within minutes. Although we had to wait another day, since the unit was completely frozen solid...the next day another great tech came and quickly finished the job and we were back to normal. Just had a Goodman HVAC unit installed by Winstar Home Services. The installers were Jim and Robert. Could not have asked for better technicians. They were very professional. They instructed me on how to operate the system and cleaned up after they were done. Have to give them a shout out because the day that they installed my units the heat index was 103 degrees outside. My guy was great. Professional and nest appearance. He walked thru my home to identify the best possible options. He then outlined three possibilities asking which I preferred. I liked one of the three and he gave me a quote. I felt the quote was a little high, but he reminded me of their customer service and warranty. The plumber was incredibly professional, friendly, knowledgeable and informative. We had him come out in order to turn the gas on to the house. While there, he also performed a quick check of all of the electrical and gas systems in the house and gave suggestions on things we could fix/update in the future.
