I have been going to Winston's for my latte for almost a year. Enjoy the ambiance, location and my latte. Unfortunately, that changed today. My small latte, with only 1/2 shot of espresso was $5.95 that I purchased one week ago. Yes, the prices have steadily increased over the year, but I accepted that due to inflation and competition. What I cannot tolerate is that in one week my drink went from $5.95 to $7.33. I wish my salary followed Winston's unbelievable increase in one week. P.S. Winston's reached out to me and following up on several emails, I now understand why the latte charge had increased. Apparently, I hit the button for tip, not realizing it, and when I questioned the server, she just said that was the price of the latte. All is good. I will get my latte from Winston's again. read more

If you haven't been here recently, you are in for a surprise. They already had a solid play area in the back, but nothing can compare to what they have now. This may officially be the best kids restaurant/coffee/bar spot in all of Austin. I'm talking playground, swing, climbing gym, massive green yard, and plenty of shaded tables. To top it all off, there is an additional bar right along side. It's brand new, so they are still working out the kinks/trying to expand. A few things to call out. 1. They only have the one kitchen, so it can get pretty backed up. 2. No additional bathrooms, but they are working with the city to allow it. 3. Parking can get tight, curious how they will try and tackle this. read more

I stopped by Winston's in Lakeway today and had such a great experience! Hanna was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. She made one of the best lattes I've ever had. Great customer service and amazing coffee are hard to find, and Hanna delivered both. I'll definitely be back! read more

Stopped by here for the first time because it was next door to my doctor and I was early. Got a vanilla latte. The coffee is excellent. Unfortunately my low stars are for the staff. I walked in and walked to register and was ignored for a bit. The girls working were busy ... but no one said be right with you, hello, nothing. So once the gal came to the register she didn't greet or even say hello just what would you like. I ordered. I have heard great things about this place so we finally checked it out! We were skeptical because we weren't sure how serious they were taking their coffee! We are super critical when it comes to our coffee but we are excited when we get proven wrong. The coffee was perfect! The barista even asked if I felt like there was plenty of lavender in my latte. We ended up getting a pizza to go for our dinner! It heated back up well and the ingredients tasted fresh. I can only guess how amazing it would been fresh. Stopped by around 11 on a Sunday morning. Tons of parking - but the place was essentially empty. Kind of off the beaten path. Staff were awesome. Friendly, professional, polite, and prompt. Ordered a margherita pizza. Sauce was bland. Crust was extremely floppy. Basil was nasty. Priced at $18. Not worth it. Wouldn't order it again. Next up ordered a vanilla latte. It was delicious. My friend ordered a muffin - said it was ok, nothing extraordinary - just a muffin. The place was spotless, including the bathrooms. If I returned it would only be for the coffee. read more

After a great breakfast at Winston's earlier in the week, my daughter, two grandkids, and I decided to mosey over with more family and give this shiny new spot a whirl. Spoiler: this place is a family playground wrapped in a wood fires pizza spot, and my 3-year-old granddaughter thought she had discovered Disneyland. Two playgrounds, wide open running space, AND cornhole? Forget it--she was living her best toddler life, making friends like she was running for class president. Pros? Super kid-friendly, squeaky clean, breezy outdoor seating, three giant TVs rolling the game for the sports dads, and pizza that's limited in options but solid in flavor (pro tip: you'll have to ask for plates--because apparently, they're optional?). Cons? Bees. Bees everywhere. It was like a live-action Winnie the Pooh episode. Also...the music. Imagine showing up to a fun family night and instead being greeted by the "Dentist Office's Monday Morning" playlist. 50s and 60s tunes while kids are zip-zooming down slides? Hard pass. Give us some family-friendly jams, or at least something that doesn't make us feel like we're waiting for a hip replacement consult. Bonus oddity: in the middle of the field sits a mysterious rock pile with a grate over a hole. Naturally, this was like a kid magnet. Groups of children were trying to solve it like it was the entrance to Narnia. Management might want to add either heavier rocks or a "Dragons Live Here" sign for safety (and entertainment). The true gem? They serve soft-serve ice cream. Yes, actual twist cones--rare these days in these part of Austin! Which makes this place the perfect after-dinner stop for dessert, a glass of wine or beer, and letting the kids run wild before bed. Overall: Fantastic family-friendly hangout. Great pizza, better playgrounds, just needs a better soundtrack and a beekeeper. read more

Really disappointed with our first visit to Winston's. As a first-time guest with a gluten allergy, the staff member taking our order was not friendly or helpful with menu questions. They don't offer decaf coffee or lattes at all, so one person in our group had to walk around the corner to Luna's to get a decaf latte. The tea latte was basically warm milk with a tea bag and no froth. The French toast was served on a flat cutting board with a tiny syrup cup that made it messy to use. The strawberry ricotta toast wasn't actually toasted and became soggy. The flavors were great, but between the poor customer service and execution, we won't be back. read more

I'm so glad we decided to stop in today! This is a really cute neighborhood spot with nice ambiance and friendly staff. The good: we tried the Margherita pizza and the Truffle pizza. They nailed it! Crust was super thin, crisp and brown on the bottom. Toppings were plentiful and spread out to the edge. They use San Marzano tomatoes on the Margherita and it really makes a difference. There was Just the right amount of Truffle oil on the Truffle pizza. It might be nice to offer topping it with prosciutto after it comes out of the oven for the meat eaters out there. Wine seems to rotate, but they offer a nice mix, albeit a short list. The "negative" : lack of shaded tables. At 5:00 there was 1 in back which will quickly become 0 until the sun goes down. The front has 2 small 2-top tables. So for those with dogs, this really limits our options especially during hot weather. Hoping they will have heaters in the cold months! We tried to go through the drive thru but there was not a menu available so we decided to just run inside. Once inside we quickly realized that it didn't seem like coffee was the main attraction... they had several people inside eating pizza and it did look good. The guy that took our order was friendly. It seemed like they're paring down their menu. We ordered 2 iced lattes, a matcha, and a cake pop. Everything was just "ehh". Not overwhelming good or bad. The cafe/restaurant is nice. Their crust is light & has good flavor which is consistent with about all other reviews. It's a well balanced pizza that's not overly expensive either given it's a smaller independent shop. If nearby Bee Cave I'd recommend stopping in. read more

Absolutely awful experience trying Winston's for the first time. I almost never write reviews, yet I feel compelled after what happened. I ordered a $6 latte and simply asked if they could sweeten it with a little honey. They tried to charge an additional $1.75 for a tiny drizzle. When I asked to remove the latte entirely after seeing the up charge, the barista scoffed at me like I was being unreasonable. Then I ordered the avocado toast. I took one bite and found a hair embedded in the toast. I brought it directly to the counter and showed them the hair still sticking out of the avocado spread. I received a half hearted apology and was asked if I wanted to order something else. They did not offer a refund, did not replace it without prompting, and did not seem even mildly concerned. I left feeling shocked and honestly a little sick. I was genuinely excited to try this place and I walked out feeling dismissed, embarrassed, and disappointed. Save your money and go anywhere else. Winston's demonstrated no respect for their customers, their food, or basic standards of service or quality. read more

I don't live in the area, but one thing that I definitely appreciated is the playground in the back of this building. I think this is a wonderful spot to come and grab a coffee and a bite to eat with family friends, a girlfriend and let your kids play safely Outside. The location is off the main road, so there's no heavy traffic to worry about as far as safety. You're able to quietly enjoy your drinks and food. Upon walking in, I love the decor and the simplicity of everything. Very clean environment, which is what you love to see when you're gonna grab a bite to eat or drink. Staff was beyond friendly and efficient. I honestly don't even know how we got our drinks so quickly. My brother lives in the area so upon our next visit, we will definitely be sure to come back, but if you're a local, please do yourself the favor of stopping by this place. It's a gem!! read more

We ordered a pizza from DoorDash for staycation movie night and I am blown away by this amazing pizza!! I believe they use Typo 00 Italian flour and the dough is so perfectly salty and pliable and rivals any found in Napoli. Perfectly charred little blisters along the crust, foldable center, fresh toppings. Soooooo good. We had a simple cheese pizza made with fresh cheeese and San marzano tomatoes that left a zingy kiss to the perfect crust. The truffle pizza is TO DIE FOR!!! Mon Dio!! Let me start off by saying we walked in with our entire family of 11 people looking for a coffee after a long drive and happened to stumble upon this place. First impression walking in was how nice the interior was. Second, was the gentleman helping us. I believe his name was Luca (sorry if I'm wrong) and his service was fantastic. He was friendly, attentive, informative, and helpful through the ordering process. He made us feel like family in a short 10 min interaction from the time we walked in till we got our coffees. The barristas were quick and efficient pumping out each drink very quickly. Pizza was absolutely delicious fresh out of the pizza oven and the coffees were great. I finally tried coffee through the drive-through and was very pleased at the speed and friendliness of service. I got the pumpkin spice latte which was not on the outdoor menu, but can be requested. It was not as, pumped up as the national chains but I'm sure you could ask for extra pumpkin spice. Just know that it comes fairly mild. read more

new to the area and i really really enjoy this coffee shop, the pizza is delicious as well and i can't wait to try everything they have! my interaction this morning is the only thing that makes this 4 stars! there was a sweet girl there this morning around 8:40 am (which was my allotted pick up time for my coffee) with long brown hair who was super helpful and an older lady helping around the shop in general. but the third lady who approached me asked me for my order and i told her it was pickup, she did not start it until i got there which is fine! but then proceeded to tell her co worker that she messed up my cortados and served the to me anyways as if i did not hear her say that less that 6 feet away from me. i took my coffees and enjoyed them but i just wanted to let yall know! will be back for more (hopefully) excellent food coffee and service! this was just a small bump in the road:) read more
