We finally found the breakfast and lunch spot we've been hoping for in the Lakeway/Bee Cave area! That's My Jam serves fantastic food at reasonable prices, and the atmosphere is upbeat, welcoming, and fun. Every dish we tried was delicious... Some of us had breakfast and some of us had lunch... It was all fantastic. A special shoutout to our server, Ethan, who was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and made several great menu recommendations that turned out to be spot on. Service like that makes a good meal even better. For years we've wished there was a go-to breakfast and lunch restaurant in this area, and That's My Jam absolutely fills that role. May 31. We returned to That's My Jam for another Sunday post-church visit, eager to see if it would maintain its usual charm. Our selections for the afternoon were the classic Eggs Benedict and the turkey avocado wrap--both arriving at the table beautifully composed and visually striking. Our server was exemplary, providing attentive and seamless service throughout the meal. However, the kitchen stumbled slightly on a fundamental execution. A proper Eggs Benedict relies on a perfectly poached egg, where a gentle slice yields a rich, velvety yolk that cascades over the ham and English muffin. Regrettably, one of my eggs crossed the line into hard-boiled territory, robbing the dish of that essential luxury. That single execution error aside, the meal was otherwise delightful. It was an unfortunate oversight, but certainly not enough to keep us from returning to a neighborhood favorite. read more

The food and the service was lacking. I should have left before I was seated, but decided to give a try. I was ignored by the seating hosts, taking other people with more than one in their party. After 4 minutes waiting, I was finally seated in the bar area, away from the main seating area. Against the wall, with a few other single patrons who were similar in age and dress...you know "old folgies". I set that aside, but after waiting another 3 minutes a waitress was sent over to take my order. She did not seem happy to be tasked with this seating area. Anyway, she took my breakfast order. In less than 5 minutes, my food arrived. And I never saw that waitress again. Now for the food....it was the worst food I have ever tasted...and I used to have to eat military C-rations and MREs. Everything was cold...even the coffee. After trying to eat the food and being ignored by the staff. I simple stood up to leave. Suddenly, the bill was shoved into my hand. I paid for the food I did not eat, and I left a ZERO tip for the service I did not get. I will never go to this place, and have recommended to everyone to never go there as well. read more

I had the pleasure of revisiting That's My Jam today, and wow... this place is quickly becoming everyone's favorite brunch spot. Every time I go, it seems busier than the last visit -- which tells you all you need to know about how good the food is. First things first: they close at 3:00 PM, so this is definitely a morning/brunch kind of place. In other words, don't sleep in too late or you'll miss the jam. Today I ordered the prime rib with two over-easy eggs and hash browns, and let me tell you... the seasoning was absolutely perfect. Not too salty, not too peppery -- just right. Whoever is in the kitchen clearly understands the art of prime rib. They even garnish the plate with a little edible flower, which made me feel slightly fancy for a moment before I dove straight into the food. And the French toast? I'm not exaggerating when I say it may be the best French toast I've had in Texas. I almost ordered another plate just to make sure... purely for research purposes, of course. Even though the restaurant was packed, the staff greeted everyone warmly and kept things moving with a smile. Great food, friendly people, and a fun brunch atmosphere. If you haven't tried That's My Jam yet, do yourself a favor and go -- just remember to get there before 3:00... because apparently half the city has already figured this place out. read more

During a recent Sunday rush, about two weeks ago, I witnessed a woman loudly berating two young hostesses over a wait time that was beyond their control. The two teen hostess's handled her with grace and kindness. They each apologized and explained the website doesn't always update as quickly ( the woman said before she headed there, the website so little to no wait). She honed in on one teen and continued to yell, having everyone staring. Also, uncomfortable was that the woman so focused on yelling that she didn't seem to notice her very young child running through the restaurant while the slightly older one tried to pull him back to the front. Despite being treated unfairly, both hostesses remained calm, professional, and incredibly polite. One patiently explained the situation and offered to add her to the waitlist, and will sway her as quickly as possible, all while handling the interaction with remarkable maturity. I was so impressed by these young ladies, I made a point to tell them on my way out, and then found the owner/manager to share. I have long been awaiting the opening of That's My Jam here in Bee Cave. This area desperately needed a delicious, upscale brunch restaurant and now we have it!! The food was incredible, the servers were kind and attentive (and it was only their first day!) and the restaurant is just beautiful. This will be a regular place for me and probably many others here in bee cave and surrounding areas. Update: I've had the pleasure of dining here several times now since my initial visit/review and each visit has somehow been better than the last! One of the better breakfast spots in the area. They were pretty busy the day I visited but they have full service at the bar and I'm quite comfortable sitting up at a counter to eat. It's in a big shopping area. There is parking but it can be a bit challenging. The interior is very appealing and not too loud. I was greeted right away and for my first visit, I opted to try the Southern Combo; eggs, biscuit and gravy, sausage, bacon and hash browns. I also ordered a side of sourdough toast. I didn't have to wait very long and they certainly get five stars for presentation. I ordered my eggs over easy and they certainly were, but a tad bit undercooked for my preference. The sausage came as patties and really tasted like something store bought. A bit dry and not much flavor to them. The bacon was absolutely delicious and the hashbrowns were good. They said the toast was sourdough, but it tastes just like white toast. It definitely is not sourdough, but it was good bread. It was a good meal and everything tasted fresh and warm. From the moment we walked into That's My Jam, we were completely impressed. The environment is gorgeous, warm, and inviting...a perfect balance of style and comfort. The space itself is large with plenty of seating, and we loved that there's even an outdoor play area for children making it such a kid-friendly spot for families. The menu is fantastic, offering a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options, including many gluten-free choices, something that's so hard to find at other local restaurants. Our server Sydney was absolutely fantastic, super friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive, especially since we had food allergies to gluten. She made sure everything came out perfectly and with care. We ordered the gluten-free cinnamon roll pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The pancakes were especially impressive and were soft, sweet, and you'd never guess they were gluten-free. And the coffee? Surprisingly excellent! Fresh, rich, and smooth! We stopped in for Brunch! The service was extremely friendly and I was shocked on how big the place was on the inside. Looks like there is a playground also! The food was very good! I ordered the corned beef hash with hash browns and pancakes. The Hash was not salty which I enjoyed and the hash browns were not greasy. Pancakes were the perfect size. They do offer powdered sugar on the pancakes but we opted to not have that. The hubby ordered a breakfast burrito without eggs and chorizo. He said the burrito had a nice kick to it. It was my first visit and we enjoyed it! We had breakfast; always love a good breakfast place but they have a regular menu (not all breakfast) with drinks also. Nicely decorated from Christmas, clean and a large dining area. I tried the biscuits and sausage gravy with eggs. Huge, fluffy biscuits. Too much for me to eat. Was very good! My so ordered the chicken and biscuits and I liked his better! Just the right amount of honey for sweetness and the chicken was cooked perfectly! We enjoyed our service, moved from Illinois and he was very up-beat and helpful. He was friendly and You can tell he enjoys his job. That's My Jam is a fantastic addition to the Galleria! We visited around 9 AM on a Sunday and found the wait surprisingly brief. The hostesses were upbeat and kind and our server was awesome! She was super helpful with recommendations that made ordering so much easier lol. There were just so many things I wanted to try. We ordered the Kids Mickey Mouse Pancake, the Breakfast Burrito, and the Southern Combo. The Mickey Mouse pancake is mean. It's absolutely massive. Easily large enough to satisfy an adult. We chose to top with chocolate chips, whipped cream, and a side of fruit salad. The fruit was genuinely fresh, a quality often lacking at other restaurants. The pancake itself was wonderfully fluffy and they were not shy with the chocolate chips. It was a huge hit with my son and I quickly understood why after sneaking a bite lol. The breakfast burrito was solid. Chorizo, eggs, tater tots, and onion wrapped in a perfectly toasted tortilla made for a very satisfying and flavorful bite. The southern plate is undeniably HEARTY! You can really taste the "homemade" in their homemade gravy. The eggs were perfectly fluffy and the entire $16 portion felt incredibly generous. Besides the food, the space itself is a huge plus especially for families. It's spacious and features a beautiful little playground outside. It's entertaining for the kids and makes post- ordering stress free! Overall, our family was thoroughly impressed. The food is excellent, the service is warm, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Brand new breakfast/lunch restaurant located in Bee Cave. Atmosphere and design is upscale for the interior, and they've enclosed the side patio - it's much nicer than the previous three restaurants in the same space. The menu is deep and wide, with lots of choices! It's a little pricey, but the volume on the food correlates, at least. We all enjoyed our choices and will be back! Service was very attentive, also. I had this place 2 more chances and they failed both times: - First time, the classic breakfast came with only 1 scrambled egg instead of 2. They refused to give out another unless they charged for an extra egg. - Second time, they sent out soft white bread (untoasted) instead of sourdough toast. Waitress agreed and took it back. She came back 8min later with soft untoasted white bread again. When I asked her why, she said there was a "language barrier between the cooks and the waitstaff" Never going back and telling my entire family in Lakeway to stay away. read more
