STAY FAR AWAY - Dishonest, Unprofessional, and Dangerous! We were in the process of buying a home. Our inspector suspected termite activity. Winter Bros was called in (the house was under their warranty) and told us -- with our inspector and realtor present -- there were no active termites. We trusted their word and bought the home. By December/January, we discovered major issues: mud tubes from ceilings, brown tunnels, visible termite damage in 5+ rooms, and exterior evidence. Winter Bros returned and sent two young guys who acted like we didn't know what we were talking about. One literally said there was no activity -- while a termite tube hung from our ceiling. They sprayed illegal liquid chemicals into our walls, causing them to leak into the garage and all over the place. (FYI: foam, not liquid, is supposed to be used in walls.) They also claimed our warranty was void in one area because we moved a bit of rock -- a sneaky excuse to get more money. We got a second opinion: active termites were confirmed, and we were told this house should NEVER have been sold. Winter Bros clearly covered this up to push the sale through escrow. To make matters worse, the previous owner was a sweet 94-year-old blind woman -- and they clearly took advantage of her too. We now have extreme structural damage, including a garage ceiling that looks like it may collapse. Winter Bros Pest Control is deceptive, dishonest, and dangerous. Hello, Clark Winter from Winter Bros Pest Control was assigned to do an inspection on the house my mother is selling (she is 72). He showed her what he called "the beginnings of termite activity" and offered to take care of it for an "cheapest price around" of $595 if she did it right then. She called me and I instructed here to say no and we'll get a second opinion because something didn't sound right. We hired a reputable pest control company to perform another inspection. Of course they found zero termite activity. But unfortunately, we still had to pay for treatment and a warranty because Clack wrote his bogus findings to try and fleece my elderly mother of money in his report to the buyers. This was plain and simple a company trying to take advantage of an elderly lady! He's very lucky I live so far away. Highly do not recommend this dishonest company for your pest control needs. 0/10. read more

I cannot recommend Winter bros pigeon control for the following reasons: - damage to carport, had to request for repairs which was repaired with caulking, additional request made to repair damage correctly with drywall and paint - They show up outside scheduled times blaming computer errors - They do not announce their arrival nor departure therefore leaves no opportunity to discuss the work of the job or progress or problems - Provides dishonest answers as to why they did not show up (i.e, no gate code, funny because I do not live in a gated community) - Patronizing to the customer...saying that the reason I want them to knock on my door is so "I can supervise them", Mocking my reason for leaving paint outside the garage door. - Blaming the structure and integrity of my carport for the damage when employees dropped equipment on the roof..saying it coulda happened if a tree fell on the carport.. - 6 weeks later, the pigeon problem is even worse, the pigeons continue to roost and coo and there is no resolution..I have no choice but to hire a different company...wasted money on Winter bros pests..very disappointed in the workmanship and customer service. read more

No stars if I that was a possible rating for the app. This company was the worst ! Being a first time home buyer my experience was one of the worst. We were serviced in April 2021, after purchasing our home in march. May 2022 we had a maintenance appointment, a little over a year after a couple of calls to the main number provided. We had the worst pigeon problem all year, the pigeons still managed to nest under our solar panels, tons of debris. Major lack of communication between owners and workers. One of the owners worker argued in the background during a phone call extremely adamant that he serviced our property 2 years ago. The workers left the tubes of pigeon repellent behind on our property, empty. They ended up on the side of our house, entryway to our community for we are a corner house. I would not recommend, and we sought this company out because they were referred since we are new to the state. 0 stars to keep it minimal. Save your invoices! read more

Prompt professional service at a price that is affordable. We called on Thursday for a termite price quote. We were quoted $400-$500. The price was $475 after a discount for using cash. Definitely kept their price promise. They did have to push there appointment but they kept us informed and we were able to run some errands while we waited for them to finish their previous appointment. They did not insist on a lot of prep work like other companies did, they moved what needed to be moved themselves, without my assistance. Overall, getting rid of the termites was as good an experience as it could be under the circumstances. I highly recommend Winter for anyone read more

This company came recommended from a neighbor.However these guys SUCK! TWICE in one week they didnt show up and I call over and over only to reach the owner who takes ZERO responsibility for his business! Had an appointment for a week and day off he finally calls me back to say that his guys have worked to hard this week and can not make it. Reschedule for Friday 6am , and guess what NOTHING AND NO-ONE, three phone calls and a voicemail I get a call back from owner saying "well I call Kevin". Kevin calls and says he would be here in another 45 minutes, no sir that is not the agreement and doesnt work, his response is well no one told me that and he will have the office call me , give me a freaking break ! No one calls ! HORRIBLE BUSINESS , how they have stayed open with the options we have in this world makes no sense. Customer service and sticking to what is said above all is what can keep customers happy and a business open. Owner needs to hang it up and find something else. I've had issues with this company showing up when they are scheduled. This is the 4th time they are no shows. The owner will eventually come out himself on a Sunday and do the treatment, but each time i schedule an appointment, no one shows up. Today someone was to come from 10-1 and again no show. I had a rat problem in my kitchen. I called Winter Bros and a guy came to my house. He was very friendly to me and my 3 dogs. He inspected the whole house to locate the problem and set the necessary traps. I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg but their prices were pretty good. I had no knowledge of pest control and the guy was nice enough to inform me of different ways to prevent this in the future. I would definitely use them again. read more

I was referred to Clark Winters by an old friend of ours when our tenants informed us that they thought our home had termites. Yikes, how much is this going to cost?!? We did call a few different termite companies and some showed up at the house. The quotes we got for the damage was crazy. One person quoted us over $1000 for the work. Clark followed up with us and quoted almost half. It looks like the damage was not as bad as thought by the other termite guy. He did the work for us that weekend then we had him come to our home and do some work there as well. We now have them do our regular pest control spraying. read more

If I could give zero stars for the abuse I just endured, I would. We've had Winter Bros. for pest control for 15 years with no problems, until this spring. On Feb 14th we had Borg Winter come out to our house to spray for ants/flying ants. He was professional and asked up front if there were plants that were edible in the backyard. I confirmed there were; he did not spray them. Service was good for 30 days with a guarantee that if it was not that I could call back for a second treatment. They were called either 3/10/17 or 3/13/17 to inform them that secondary treatment was necessary. The earliest they could have someone come out was Saturday 3/18/17. The two servicemen who showed up did not ask about the plants and drenched all three - and by drenched, I mean drenched where the pesticide pooled under the plants! Since the problem was within the 30 day guarantee I informed them that there should be no charge AND that my girlfriend and I weren't happy about the edibles being sprayed. The service guys said that after 30 days it should be fine to eat "as long as you wash it off". However, there is NO WAY I'm relying on a serviceman to assure me about the toxicity of the chemicals they used IN THE QUANTITY THEY USED THEM. This morning, 3/20/17, I got a call from Borg saying that because service was delivered outside the 30 day guarantee that I owed him full charge. I told him that because the problem existed prior to 3/14/17 that it should be covered, as it's not my fault they couldn't come for treatment sooner than that. Borg said someone could have just come out to do a spot treatment. I asked how that was even possible, given that their scheduling department had no openings within a week of calling. He dismissed the question and again insisted I pay. I also informed him that I wasn't happy that his service guys drenched my edible plants (two basil, one rosemary). He didn't even know what rosemary was ("Is that an herb?") but said that I could just "wash it off" prior to use. I said that was unacceptable because of toxicity concerns and the lack of professionalism exhibited by his servicemen by not asking in advance. He insisted I pay, that my "wife" (girlfriend) was very abusive to his field reps (she barely spoke to them during service but had expressed her unhappiness at the edibles being sprayed). I said he could send a bill if he wanted, but that between the delay in service and the issue of plants needing to be replaced, I wasn't happy and felt I shouldn't have to pay. Borg became exasperated and said that he won't send a bill but that it's probably best we find a new exterminator ("call someone else next time you need service") before hanging up on me. I'm absolutely livid that (a) his service guys did not exhibit the professionalism expected from our past experience with Winter Bros, (b) Borg Winter claims my girlfriend was abusive to his agents when all she did was express unhappiness at the plants being drenched with pesticides, and (c) the lack of professionalism expressed by Borg himself ("Go find yourself a new exterminator from now on"). I'm still out three plants and was berated and abused AS THE CUSTOMER? Totally unacceptable!!! Anyone who wants to use Winter Bros. would best be served to find someone else out there, as there are many exterminators in the Valley that WON'T make unsubstantiated claims and WON'T be abusive when resolving disputes. read more

They are about 50% for actually showing up at all. Clark's excuses? Hangover, forgot, someone was sick. When they do show up they are late, sometimes by 2 weeks. They skip rooms if they are not watched closely. Once a fat stoned guy came and he was so high he forgot to do the inside of the house. Why does my boyfriend continue to hire them?
