As a New Yorker visiting Boston I was delighted to stumble across this excellent local brewery that is open for breakfast - lattes and egg sandwiches and pastries -- and gives off Cobble Hill (Brooklyn, IYKYK) vibes -- super casual and actually of the neighborhood, politicians come once a month for open "office hours" to chat with constituents. Menu is blissfully limited and pastries are fresh and gorgeous (i had a cranberry orange muffin I'd call juicy and fluffy!) you order at a counter, pick up and go to one of the not-too-many seats. Clearly a neighborhood joint it is absolutely 100% local.

Came here for trivia (Thursdays at 7:30!), and it was pretty packed. Luckily we were able to snag a table and ordered some beers. The workers are all very nice and there's a real sense of community here! A very homey and welcoming spot. The latkes were also delicious- tangy, savory, and not too greasy. I also highly recommend the pretzel, which had a nice bite to it, and came with delicious sauces and amazing pickled beets!

Two words, Coffee+Beer! Both local. Both delicious. Great service. 10/10 would try again!

Great atmosphere! We sat at the bar and the staff was nice and joked around but also let us gab. The food was YUM. the burrito was so filling so i'd like to try the sandwiches next. The beer was also good. I'm warming up to IPAs and their johnny juice didn't have the weird an after teste but was still hazy. i also liked the seltzer which was nice and and not tooooo carbonated like popular seltzer cans. the brunch crowd was nice and we had timely service :)) thanks winterhill!

Flight of 4 beers. Great quantity for a reasonable price. All four were great.

tl;dr great spot whether you're in the mood for an afternoon work session or drinks with your friends. Will be back! My partner and I went to Winter Hill Brewing Co on a rainy Saturday afternoon after spotting it on Google Maps. Once inside, we were warmly greeted by the bartender and provided a menu of both food and drink. We ended up opting for a flight of beers to try out the selection, and wow: every single one was a hit! Usually, in a flight of 4 beers, you don't get hits on all 4, but that's what happened. While their beers rotate, both the Sun Buzz IPA and Hot Garbage Passion Fruit Seltzer were part of the mix. Not to mention that the bartender was super informative and friendly. We got some food, specifically the Kimchi Latkes, which were tasty as well, though the beers were the highlight. They also serve coffee which we'll have to try at a later time. The ambiance was balanced for any occasion. Some other patrons were working on laptops when we arrived around 3pm, and by the time we'd left by 6pm, several tables were occupied with friends meeting up for drinks and/or families getting some food too. I'll absolutely be back. I'm glad to have such a friendly spot nearby!

Come for Wednesday fried chicken!!! We had the best time! We had a group of 6 and ordered the chicken sandwich & chicken platters. All were delicious. It wasn't the best fried chicken I've had but it was very good. The mac and cheese was sooo cheesy. Loved it. Biscuits were also delicious. I had the sun buzz, lil hoppy, quite good. We stayed a while and the service was great. Will be back!

I used to live in this neighborhood. It was nice to visit my old stomping grounds and see this business thriving. It was a cold and snowy Saturday but people were still at the brewery! We walked in dressed like assholes for a concert we were going to that night. People barely flinched. Love how accepting Somerville folk are. Cozy interior. Friendly staff. Plenty of choices for beer. I didn't have any beer so no comment there but I did have the mac & cheese. Tasty, creamy and loaded with I believe panko on top. I loved the crunch element. It just wasn't the best I have ever had but enjoyed it on that snowy day. I would have it again! True score: 3.5

After one dine-in experience and 2 takeout experiences, here's my rating, 3.7 out of 5 stars. Food: The biscuit was delicious. I was just disappointed that only half a biscuit is included with a full rack of ribs when it's included at all. Pork ribs are good, solid ribs! They're well cooked but not fall off the bone. There's a slight spice that builds as you eat. The pickles are sweet with some heat. The mac & cheese is ok, noodles were very over cooked, the cheese sauce was clumpy. One thing I was super taken aback by was the lack of kid friendly options, no fries. We asked for the hot dog plain for our 4 year old and were surprised to find that the sausage was spicy, it had what seemed like mustard seeds in it. Very surprised by this given the amount of children I see here all the time. Beer is good. I've tried the hot trash which despite the name is delicious and refreshing. Nice space and atmosphere, very low key and chill. A great neighborhood hangout spot.

Good beer, great lattes, tasty snacks, chill staff, bumpin' Thursday night trivia. This place is a beacon of light in an otherwise barren area of winter hill in terms of bars/restaurants right now

I was super surprised to learn there was food here, but definitely pleasantly surprised! We stopped in for late afternoon beers and were starving so ordered some sandwiches, all of which were delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful- bringing me samples when I was stuck between two beers- and the space is cozy. Beer itself wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but very solid drinking beer.

Local brewery that has recently much improved their food game. Used to be bottom tier boring sandwiches, but has stepped it up with some pretty great things. Beer has always been solid, but definitely visiting more now that the food matches the quality.

First, the beers and food sections are separate and owned by different businesses so even if you start a tab at the bar, you need to get the card back to pay for food. Seems like an inefficient system especially during peak hours but what do I know. They could look into posting a sign that makes this clear. Maybe it was a busy time, maybe they were under-staffed, but when I went to close out my tab (at the correct spot!), the bartender tossed the credit card and receipt at me and walked away. I don't want to say the tired line of how, if I was a guy, he wouldn't have treated me this way, but it was the rudest encounter I've had to date at any bar in Boston. Food: Options were pretty limited and took awhile to be ready but my cheese slice was delicious. They also had a lychee panna cotta that looked good. Parking: Most of the surrounding parking spots are permit-only so if you're coming not on a Sunday, be sure to double check. There are some meter spots further down Broadway.

They move quick even with longer lines and even when they start serving beers and cocktails AND coffee at the same time. They have restrooms in the back that are unisex along with a water station. You can't take your beer into Bow's patio area, but they have the beer garden in the back and a few tables littered right in front of their entrance. You cannot order food from a nearby restaurant and use their space simply to post up and eat without ordering something from them - be cool people - don't take up space if you aren't supporting them in some way. Downstairs they have plenty of seating plus the bar and even live music. You can also see the barrels of the whole brewery which adds to the ambience with the metallic shine. The comedy show was fun - a series of standup comics - fun night! The stage wall is essentially a mural of a bunch of beer cans art so it really compliments the space. There is a bar at the back too and restrooms within the room itself so very convenient. Downstairs there's also a shuffle board where we spent some time playing afterwards. Restrooms downstairs too plus a water filling station which I was very pleasantly surprised to see. The hubs ordered the blood orange cloud candy beer - he thought it was nice a metallic IPA, buzzy. Our friend had several drinks - not sure all the names but one of them was the Oktoberfest. Service was good, one of the comedians actually checked us into the room. And he even graciously took our photo for plus. He was hilarious! Overall a good time and we'll be back for sure!

Cambridge is a city jam packed with a lavish selection of fine eateries from corner to corner. As…read morewith options this vast, it can be daunting making a decision on where first to embark. Luckily for us, my bestie and her hubby were our unofficial tour guides for the evening, as we ventured on a casual double date night at none other than Grafton Street. It's as every bit as street level as its exterior decorum exudes. Incidentally enough, we discovered that the best time to arrive on a Friday night is anytime before 7:30, because that's when the crowd decided to show up. That having been said, it's important to note this place can become very noisy very quickly. It is a bar after all. And the lushes were afoot on this most boisterous Friday night. So anyways, we started the night off with two apps.. Spinach and Artichoke Dip: My bestie highly recommended this app and her palate was most spot-on with this one. Creamy as hell with large Artichokes throughout. And the homemade chips add a much appreciated rustic touch to the whole thing. Though, I do wish there were an option to add a protein like shrimp or even lobster meat or something. 9 out of 10, would recommend! Steak Tartare: What's the best way to put this? I think....misleading sums it up. I'd even go as far to say this felt like a fake tartare. For one thing, it didn't even look the right color. And that's likely because it was doused in some kind of dressing that gave the whole thing an unusual taste. Now, we've had our fair share of tartare apps in the past; the carpaccio from Proper Chophouse at the Nash Casino being among the best. But this one had a strange flavor with a bizarre, chewy texture that just didn't sit right with us. Not only was the beef unrefined, it was also underseasoned. Needless to say, we ended up sending this one back after only one bite each and swapped it out for the artichoke dip. 1 out of 10, this one just didn't work. Onto the mains.. Shepherd's Pie: From what I gather, the wifey was quite pleased with this one. She just needed to add her copious amounts of salt as she does because she's the salt queen. After which, she thoroughly enjoyed it. We also appreciate the fact this is a REAL Shepherd's Pie and not merely cosplaying as many other restaurants do by making theirs with beef. Nay. Nothing but lamb in this legit dish. Grilled Pork Chop: Okay. I need to start this out by stating how elated I was to finally try a properly cooked pork chop in a restaurant. So, a little background story - growing up in the 80s, I was fooled into believing pork chop was simply something I pretended to enjoy, since it was always a thin cut, overcooked, dry as hell slab of anemically seasoned pork. Ch'yeah...my uncle really cooked like a donkey sometimes. Anywho, fast forward to 2026 and I'm presented with this gorgeous cut of freshly grilled pork. Right away, I can tell that it is WELL seasoned! A lot. Like...salty. VERY salty. Salty like the sea. Chat, the pork was overseasoned. And I can't even believe I'm saying that! But allow me to elaborate. It wasn't overseasoned to the point of being inedible. But JUST over the mark. And I've NEVER had that happen in a restaurant setting before. Usually, you'll hear me complain about food being quite the reverse. This is so rare, in fact, that I initially had a tough time admitting it to myself. After bite number 7 or 8, I thought, "Wow! This is the saltiest piece of meat I've ever tasted inside restaurant walls!" The insides of my mouth felt drier than Pakistan. I felt as if the Special Forces were about to start conducting maneuvers inside my mouth-hole imminently. But, I digress. This one was OKAY, but I don't think I'd get it again. 7 out 10, not sure if they'll take requests for reduced sodium, but....be sure to drink a tall glass of water with this one. Side note on the potato salad: it was good. Not quite as good as the one I make at home. Though, I can appreciate the fact they use Yukon Gold potatoes, same as me. This one was served warm, however; possibly due to the hot pork chop sitting atop of it. All things considered, we would certainly return. The vibe is contemporary, as is its decorum. And wouldn't you know it? They actually have tap-to-pay courtesy of their mobile POS systems! That was an unexpected, considering normally only casual chain dine-in restaurants have that sort of thing. Next time around, I'd be willing to try a burger or even the fish n' chips, if the mood so fits. Taking into account their potential, aside from their one-off faux pas, I'm gonna give Grafton Street 4 savory pork chops hot off the grill out of 5.
