Taylor was our HERO today. We went to the Boston Children's Museum today and our 3 year old had…read morenot one, but two accident in quick succession. Needless to say for a kid that has never really had an accident, this was going to ruin our day. Can you imagine a children's museum that doesn't have a gift shop. Worse yet, there really weren't any places we could get stuff to get him cleaned up. My wife yelped for Kid's clothing and LL Bean turned up not too far away. We walked over not sure if we would find anything. Taylor welcomed us and asked us how our day was going. I shared our situation while my wife rolled her eyes at me. I mean why skimp on details when you need an outfit fast and the sizing isn't what uou are used. Taylor found us several options of shirts. My son chose the purple t-shirt. She went back and found more pant sizes. He left in a pair of blue waterproof pants to go with his purple shirt. Taylor even told us that oddly thus happens and we aren't the first family looking for kids clothing after visiting the museum. Alas they don't sell underwear but it slvaged our afternoon and was enough to get him down for a nap. I consider that a WIN with a capital W. My wife found some traveling clothing as well because whe wanted to support the store as well. I really wanted to buy stuff as well but I run way too hot and it is September. Noting some '47 brand merch as I was walking by, I wanted to check out this place. It was about 15…read moreminutes until the top of the hour and upon entering the person working could barley muster a glare my direction. I posed the question 'closing soon?' To which I got a mumbled yes. Not really sure why the unhappiness from the person working, the store isn't that big and there isn't that much to see. They do have a ton of Boston team apparel - Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox, etc. They also had a fair amount of '47 brand, which you don't see in stores very often. So, it's about 10 minutes to the top of the hour and I'm done in plenty of time for him to close his store. Would I have made a purchase, probably, but to be honest I didn't want to give him any money .... I guess in the end he won, that's really what he wanted to not have to work. Would I recommend, maybe, but make sure to check the hours before entering and make sure that it's not too close to closing time, apparently 15 minutes before closing wasn't the right time.
